This is not the current version of this painting. Doris exhibited this painting in this condition for some time and then later added a few more details, highlights in the trees for instance, that dramatizes the lighting even more.

I found that my 3/4" chisel and metal files worked much better than sandpaper for smoothing and shaping the cement.

its been a while since i did anything with dry media and its kinda fun to screw around.
A tap on the door by my lovely UPS man and I have a gorgeous box of beautiful roving to play with! This is Lura's 50% Shetland and 50% mohair, and I can't describe how soft it is or what a shine it has in the light. Time to get out the dyepots!

An hour or two after this we had it up and running!
Gonna reinforce a few things, but looks good so far.
Haven't benchmarked it, but probably will do about 150 watts continuous output

That corner at the top of the stairs that looked so bad has been fixed with caulking and drywall compound. It's now got a fresh coat of paint!
I think Scott is pulling this a little, but either way, it'll need a good rigorous blocking to make the pattern stand out and not be caught up by the body.
This will go around the top of the hips, sort of. Should look nice on the recipient! And the arms look long enough, but not too too long.
So the mods are go. Which is good because I'm so not re-knitting this sweater from the start!
