Lots of color! I'm going to spin the variegated roving; I really like how
the colors turned out, warm orange, greens, browns and dashes of violet. I'm really happy with the orange; had a terrible time mixing the dyes into a
shade that I liked.
The aqua has some subtle shading; the fiber has a beautiful shimmer in the
light with this color. Some of the mohair crimp has come back in these
rovings since they were dyed; can't wait to see how it spins!
just a close up. you see, i paint the little dude figure first, kind of fast and light. light meaning i don't use very much ink. yes, i use india ink for the black. then i fill in the colors, outline it. after that i go over the black again making it nice and thick and dark. i also add little things here and there. just some final touches.
Collage for an possible illustration. Meeting with publisher next week! Wish me luck!
**UPDATE**: I totally got the job!

an extra, extra-fuzzy perspective on this disastrous movie-theater/bowling-alley hybrid we've come up with.
more water. I was trying to photograph it every time I started after having left it a while, but here I forgot for a bit. That's why there's a tube of paint on it.
