Ink on mat board ATC. This was my first experiment with pointillism. I'm gearing up to do more cards this way, as I do have a swap for this technique soon approaching. This was made for trade in a yahoo group, but I will be making a variation of this for swapbot.
An Experiment Using Avery Ink Jet Transfers. Bottom left is quite successful, that is to say transfer to white paper. On the right was an attempt to transfer to clear mylar. The transfer medium looks like some sort of plastic and produces an opaque image. It's not just the ink that transfers. On the top (left) you can see another attempt to transfer to mylar but this one was unsuccessful as it did not stick to the mylar. Notice the curled "plastic"
I got this idea from Andy Ilanchinski's Tao of Photography blog post Swirls, Whorls and Tendrils. This is a great rainy day activity; all you need is some India Ink, an eye dropper, a clear glass container, like a shallow vase and a light board to illuminate the vase from below.

I inherited about 200 bottles of fountain pen ink -- let an artist friend take what she wanted and it barely made a dent! These are just a few of them. The third from the left is a Japanese ink -- the bottle looks like an expensive perfume bottle. The inks come from Italy, England, France, and Japan. I'm going to use them for ink drawing and brush painting, because I could never write enough words to use up all this ink!
