Went hiking yesterday and on almost to the end this older, muppet-ish looking guy rushed past me, quite flustered. His arms were flailing and he looked so wobbly. The only thing he said as he passed was "I think I've bitten off more than I can chew." And off he flailed, quickly disappearing ahead of me, dressed in a blue gym suit and bright orange beanie. Strange man, that one.

I just wanted something really loose and relaxed that I could use as a bit of therapy.

Pen and marker and then origami paper for the background. This is my favourite so far.

What a special holiday treat it was to make handmade holiday cards with the children of Bellevue! Each child designed the front of their cards with a funny or heart-warming scene: elves and reindeer dancing around the tree, a snowman cornucopia with an asparagus hat, a grouchy bunny trying not to enjoy caroling.... and then within, wrote messages of gratitude for what they have and hopes for a better new year. May we all as a community strive to provide all children with the encouragement, support, and affection they deserve every day of the year.

We are thankful for the Bellevue staff and our Ink Well volunteers: Elana Amity, Joan Chiverton, Stefano Imbert, Lisa labracio, Abby Merrill, Elizabeth Winter, and to our Event Director, Jane Archer, who put this beautiful evening together.

this was finished dec.2005..the whole scene wasnt my idea.got it from a pic.
