The palest ink is better than the sharpest memory.
Jamie had some Ink in his room so I decided to do 'I' as ink. We put some ink on a paint brush then let the drops fall and drew with it and made patterns.
These buttons were made using a mica shift technique by mixing Kato pearl clay and alcohol inks. You can read how I did this on our blog here:

the early days
To me, this one looks like a two-dimensional inky printed surface, despite there really being a lot of depth in the picture. What about you?
I got this idea from Andy Ilanchinski's Tao of Photography blog post Swirls, Whorls and Tendrils. This is a great rainy day activity; all you need is some India Ink, an eye dropper, a clear glass container, like a shallow vase and a light board to illuminate the vase from below.
I wanted a photo to demonstrate color range on the camera, and couldn't think of anything - until I looked to my right and realized I had a row of bottles of fountain pen ink. Perfect.
This is a VINTAGE Japanese Obijime. Obijime are used to decorate the obi and help secure it in place when worn. This obijime features a fun pattern ink blot and hiregana character pattern in many different colours. This obijime comes with a box as well.
