Radio Ga Ga

Music & lyrics by Queen/Roger Taylor 1984

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd sit alone and watch your light

My only friend through teenage nights

And everything I had to know

I heard it on my radio

(Radio).

You gave them all those old time stars

Through wars of worlds, invaded by Mars

You made 'em laugh - you made 'em cry

You made us feel like we could fly.(radio)

So don't become some background noise

A backdrop for the girls and boys

Who just don't know or just don't care

And just complain when you're not there

You had your time, you had the power

You've yet to have your finest hour

Radio.

All we hear is Radio ga ga

Radio goo goo

Radio ga ga

All we hear is Radio ga ga

Radio blah blah

Radio what's new?

Radio, someone still loves you!

We watch the shows, we watch the stars

On videos for hours and hours

We hardly need to use our ears

How music changes through the years.

Let's hope you never leave old friend

Like all good things on you we depend

So stick around cuz we might miss you

When we grow tired of all this visual

You had your time, you had the power

You've yet to have your finest hour

Radio - (Radio).

All we hear is Radio ga ga

Radio goo goo

Radio ga ga

All we hear is Radio ga ga

Radio goo goo

Radio ga ga

All we hear is Radio ga ga

Radio blah blah

Radio what's new?

Radio, someone still loves you!!

"White man danger

He's come to stay

Red man, it's all over

You're in the way

White man danger

Time on his side

Red man, you don't know it

But your world just died

Let's hear it for the white man

He feels no pain

Let's hear it for the white man

He feels no shame

White man danger

His day has come

Red man got two chances

Slim chance and none

White man danger

He's come to stay

Red man, it's all over

You're in the way....

WHITE MAN DANGER - Music & lyrics Elton John & Gary Osborne, 1980;

My son has a German Shorthaired Pointer and this frog is his favorite toy, he plays with it ALL the time. Look what good shape it is in.

Wop bop a lu bop! Russian roulette no fun!

"A human heart goes out tonight

Yes, a red hot love on a red stop light

I see a scene, so cold it echoes in blue

Oh, those twisting tongues, they are after you

Wop bop a lu bop, Son, you gotta move up

Flip flop fly

Lawdy Miss Clawdy

Oh, what a story dreams to buy

Don't need a knife to violate my life

It's all so insane

When the other man has none

You don't need a gun

Yes a Russian roulette, no fun

I don't need a gun

I just need someone

I don't need a gun

Blood red lights a domination street

Yeah, I just need your love, and I feel that heat

Yeah, you can drive me through

That red stop light

With a whiplash smile, whoa!

Wop bop a lu bop, yeah, you gotta move up

Flip flop fly

Lawdy Miss Clawdy

Ooh, what a story dreams to buy

Don't need a knife to violate my life

It's all so insane

I say when the other man has none

You don't need a gun

A Russian roulette, no fun

I don't need a gun, yeah I just need someone

I won't need a gun

Oh yeah

You will always be crying, yeah

Oh, you will always be dying

Oh, you will always be dying

Elvis, a fight, the dying light

Johnnie Ray, he's always crying

Gene Vincent, he cried, "Who slapped John, John, John"

Yes and me, I'm movin', movin', movin', movin' on

Yeah, to be someone

I don't need a gun

I don't need a gun

I don't need a gun

Ow!

You will always be crying...."

"Now the day is gone and I sit alone and think of you, girl

What can I do without you in my life?

I guess that our guessing game just had to end that way

The hardest one to lose of all the games we played..."

Training myself to draw has been an interesting exercise. I studied the workds of Nicolas de Crecy, the Rat Rod artists, Stephan Marjoram, R.Crumb, S.Clay Wilson and many others. While I certainly will never develop the kind of talent they had, this has been a good way to "kill time" during the various periods of lockdown here in France during the Covid Pandemic.

"You say it's your birthday

It's my birthday too yeah

They say it's your birthday

We're gonna have a good time

I'm glad it's your birthday

Happy birthday to you!"

Taxman

Music & lyrics by The Beatles, George Harrison 1966

Covered by Stevie Ray Vaughan

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let me tell you how it will be

There's one for you, nineteen for me

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

Should five per cent appear too small

Be thankful I don't take it all

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah I'm the taxman

If you drive a car, I'll tax the street,

If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat.

If you get too cold I'll tax the heat,

If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet.

Don't ask me what I want it for

If you don't want to pay some more

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

Now my advice for those who die

Declare the pennies on your eyes

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

And you're working for no one but me.

Very simplistic. Not sure if it's complete or not...

A local went back to her house to give me the contact info of the house owner!

Oh DO go on. You were saying something about 'being a black cat means having impunity to bad luck'... particularly on Friday the 13th.

#307 of 365 Daily Drawings

Inspiration: Barcelona

Result: Day 1

Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Sakura Micron 005 & Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils in a Stillman & Birn Zeta series sketchbook

Location: apartment in Barcelona

Note: The next 23 drawings are reflections of my trip to Spain, Dublin and Scotland. It's a combination sketchbook / journal. Not all of the pages contain writing ....those are yet to be filled in because while I did make a point of doing a drawing every day I really didn't have time to also fill in the blanks with words...those are to come. I just needed to get these posted so I could get my daily drawings back on track. :)

Il Jouait Du Piano Debout

Musique & paroles France Gall & Michel Berger

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: The red dot of a laser pointer is to a cat, what spotting a squirrel is to a dog. Soon the mice will figure out .....it doesn't just distract cats, it embarrasses them. Feline pride goes OFF. THE. RAILS!.

Iesus saluator filius perducat nos superius vbi regnat in gloria

Raynutius

In Nomine Sancte et Indiuidue trinitatie [sic?] patris et

filij et spiritussancti Amen Nouerint vniuersi

[The first line comes from the hymn "Ave fuit prima salus". "Raynutius" may be a name (> "Rinucci"?) or refer to a chapter of canon law known by the name of one of the litigants in the case that gave rise to it. The sketch of three horses appearing above the trinitarian formula of the signum crucis might possibly refer to the passage in St. Augustine's work De Trinitate (book 7, chapter 3) where he uses three horses as an example in discussing the meaning of the word "person" as it refers to the Christian God. Or they could just be a sketch of three horses.]
