The shop owner told me this was the tallest timber-framed building in the town. The shop owner behind me told me stories about this house as his grandparents lived there. Another local came over for a chat. After all that talking I couldn’t be bothered to correct the innacurate timber framing on the house and left the sketch as it is.

I was sat under a roof but the rain still landed on the sketchbook.

I was sat in the entrance to a bakery so I had to keep standing pressed to the wall to let the delivery vans pass.

I was the only person here when a huge guided tour group came and stood in front of me.

Drawn from a rooftop bar. I had to stop as it was getting too dark but I think the sketch is better for it.

I use only one colour in my sketches. In this case every object was coloured in the same stone dust.

The concrete panels were designed to make them tricky to draw.

I keep trying to draw all the construction in the Alps. So many roads, galleries, avalanche barriers, lifts, cable cars, snow cannons etc.

I quickly sketched these lads before one of them moved but they were so immersed in their mobiles.

Drawn with a Pilot E95 (fine nib) with Waterman Absolute Brown ink on 5” x 7” brown paper

2 year old Aiora's ink brushes danced around the paper as she expressed her ideas about "Mr Darkness" from the book 'Darkness Slipped In'. Then she began to dot black marks on the page with both brush and sponge. "Darkness is throwing the ball" she told us.
