Day 2 of Brands Hatch Brit Car into The Night and after a thrilling set of Qualifying and Racing Yesterday All Drivers were Ready Once again to Challenge the Circuit.
Some Drivers from the Previous Day were Seen Packing Up and Heading Home after a Brilliant Days Racing while Others were Just Arriving and Getting their Machines Prepared for The Race Track.
With an Action Packed Day to look forward to and Lots of Action for Both Qualifying and Racing Lets take a Look and See who is up First and Ready to Challenge This Almighty Indy Circuit.

First Up onto the Circuit was The Intermarque Silhouettes and Thease Machines are Very Quick and Built to be as Light Weight as Possible by Using a Space Frame Chassis and a Fibreglass Body.

In First Place Securing Pole Position and The Fastest Lap was (Danny Hun) in his Ford Autoxross Fiesta ST with a Best Lap Time of 1:01.454 and a Top Speed of 70.76mph. Great Lap there Danny Really Keeping that Car on the Track and Taking a Strong Pole Position.

The Likes of Endaf Owens was Also Prepared after an Engine Failure During Yesterdays Race Which Many thought would put him out of Contention for Today..........However With Some Incredible Overnight Work by Him and His Fellow Mechanics as well as a Late Night Trip to Wales and Back to Pick Up a Spare Engine, Endaf and His Dedicated Team Have Managed to Get his Car Ready for Race 2. As The Light Fell away from the Circuit The Britcar Endurance Championship made its way out onto the circuit with Lights a Blaze and a lot of Energy coming from both the Drivers and their Cars This was Going to be a Race of Endurance and Car Management thought the 45 Minutes of the Race.

With a Quick set of Warm Up Laps Over it was Time for The Brit car's to make their way out onto the Track and Get Ready for two Races of Endurance to Decide the Britcar Champion of 2021.
In First Place Taking the Victory was (Valluga's) Ian Humphries and Benji Hetherington in their Porsche 718 GT4 Club sport with a Best Lap Time of 50.023 and an Average Speed of 70.37mph. Congratulations both Ian and Benji a Fantastic Win in Very Tricky and Tiering Circumstances thought the 45 Minutes.

As you can see this is kind of following my theme this week! I really like the way the light forms a line down the side of each bottle and also the way it shows the blue reflection on the wall. I think I probably need a little stronger light to get a better shadow effect and to really give it that feel of reflective light, but I didn't want to strong of a light to wash the picture out also.
I used this photo for my final because I really like the way this picture turned out using the fill card. This was probably one of the more interesting assignments during the course and I had a lot of fun playing around and taking pictures using different lighting and setups with the fill card. defiantly a good tool to use in future photos!
Heywood Model Rai;way held their Annual Exhibition in Rochdale Town Hall in 2018, and plan to do so in future years. There are two compelling reasons for attending this exhibition. Firstly, the exhibition is excellent with a wide range of layouts and commercial stalls. The group have some wonderful layouts and the visitors were of the same standard. The second reason for visiting is the venue. If you have not seen the Town Hall in Rochdale, it is a must. PizzaBuzz is, in a city so full of new restaurant openings, a very good idea indeed. The concept can be summed up (crudely) as âDIY Pizzaâ or "we have the toppings, you do the rest!" or "Subway, but with pizzas!". This doesnât really do it justice however and there is, obviously, much more to it than that - which Iâll now try to elaborate upon:
Essentially the idea is semi-self service pizza/food assembly. You take your place at the start of their "DIY pizza assembly lineâ and prepare yourself a pizza entirely of your own devising (though you donât have to do anything really asides from tell them what you want your pizza to be made of - it arrives pre sliced too, woo!).
You choose from 5 types of bases (gluten free options are available). These range from a âregularâ Margherita (cheese, tomato etc) to the Bianca (white sauce, mozzarella, parmesan) - plus a pretty fkn extensive range of toppings, divided into vegetables, proteins (i.e meats, fish) and cheese. Said toppings include such gastronomic curiosities such as bacon jam and wild rock shrimp. The recommended number of toppings for a pizza is about 4-5, though apparently one guy came in (drunk) on a Friday night once and ordered a £20+ pizza that contained EVERY SINGLE topping they offered. It ended up looking like a pyramid (hahahahaha!)
And, if you donât fancy coming up with your own pizza, their âsignature collectionâ of pre-designed pizzas come in around £10, and have names like Middle Earth and Etna. Once youâve picked your combo of ingredients, it takes them about 1-3 minutes to cook the whole thing in their wood fired ovens - so you might even be able to describe it as fast food. Takeaway is also an option. In the Southern Italian style, you can also get a burrata (and choose what ingredients to have it with, which is the recurring theme...)
As for the ambiance - PizzaBuzz lives inside the brand spanking new Alphabeta development on Worship street. On the inside it has a minimal vibe - almost the feel of an industrial space about it. Except theyâve made it more friendly with offcentre animal illustrations drawn onto the walls (pictured) plus their colourful logo and a recurring love of hexagonal things. Plus staff singing along to the music (not sure if this is an actual feature or if I just came in at the right time ^_^)
I must also tell you about the dough - which took a yearâs development and is quite something (theyâve got a video called âJane Doughâ in which the dough explains this all to you in a Yorkshire accent, lol). Anyway, it comes from a small mill in Oxfordshire and is, unusually, 50% spelt. I am told that this results in better texture, digestibility and mouthfeel than regular pizza. This is a big claim to make, and Iâm not sure I agree - the pizza I had, however, WAS very good and thatâs all I can say about that.
All in all, Pizzabuzz is taking a very good idea from another restaurant (*ahem*) and applying it to pizza very, very well. I wasnât surprised to hear that they have another site opening soon and can see them doing pretty well in future. Inherently, itâs fun, a bit silly, and provides you with a lot more choice than most of the (pizza based) competition. Definitely a place Iâd recommend to everybody (because who the hell doesnât like pizza, really?!)
Almost three decades of war have left Cambodia severely contaminated by mines and unexploded ordinance (UXO). As a result, since 1979, more than 40,000 Cambodians have suffered amputations, leaving the country with one of the highest rates of physical disability in the world.
Organisations such as the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) are slowly clearing the land but at the current rate of progress, it may take as many as 100 years to clear all the mines in Cambodia. Due to the Buddhist beliefs of karma (‘the belief that one's life now and in future lives depends upon one's own deeds and misdeeds and that as an individual one is responsible for, and rewarded on the basis of’), Cambodian landmine survivors are often both by themselves and others seen to have received just punishment for former bad deeds. Therefore, in addition to the obvious strains of coping with permanent disability and mental trauma, victims can also be subjected to societal shame.

RESIGNATION OF SUPERINTENDENT SMITH. Yesterday Superintendent E. Smith told a reporter that he had resigned his position as head of the Christchurch Fire Brigade. He stated that he had accepted a very advantageous offef made by a fire insurance company to act on its behalf as inspector of its fire risks in Christchurch. "In taking this step," said Mr Smith, I am merely following the good advice given me by the ' Lyttelton Times ' some eighteen months ago, when it was indicated by that paper that my services might be even more valuable in the direction in which I in future intend to apply them." Superintendent Smith has been connected with the Christchurch Fire Brigade uninterruptedly for tbe past thirty years, during the last fourteen of which he has been a member of the government staff. His knowledge of Christchurch buildings is exceptionally wide, and especially fits him, combined with his practical experience as a fire brigade officer, for his new position. Mr J. D. Hall, chairman of the Christchurch Fire Board, when seen by a " Lyttelton Times " reporter regarding Mr Smith's resignation, said : — " Of course I cannot speak for the Board — they will do that themselves, but, speaking for myself, I can only say that Superintendent Smith is a splendid officer, and he has been a valuable servant to the city." In partnership with Caritas Nepal, CRS provided 50-day trainings to masons with a focus on earthquake-resilient construction techniques. These masons then led teams of unskilled laborers or people who participated in a shorter training. Trained masons help ensure that houses will be more resilient in future earthquakes and that families will be eligible to receive all three tranches (installments) of reconstruction money from the government. The project put a special focus on training female masons and people from vulnerable groups.
Sanju Bishwakarma, 28, is a lead mason in ongoing reconstruction projects. Her crew trusts her and she is known for her skill in binding rebar supports. Although some female masons reported that some families hesitated to hire them based on biases against women working construction, clients seek out Sanju based on her reputation for high-end work. She is simultaneously building her own home, although her government grants have been delayed based on a mistake in registration (she will be eligible when that mistake is rectified).
Here, Sanju is pictured in front of her partially-constructed home. She has done all the work herself, including design and foundation footings, and she has paid for all materials with her earnings as a lead mason. She will receive her government grants when a mistake with paperwork is resolved, but she wanted to build her home as quickly as possible. Her husband, Hira Bishwakarma, 30, assists with the manual labor for their home. So far they have walls and a temporary roof over one room of their future home, where they all sleep. They have one daughter, Arati Bishwakarma, 7, seen in some images as she gets ready for school.

In April and May 2015, two massive earthquakes struck Nepal. Over eight million of Nepal’s 28 million people were affected with nearly 2.6 million in urgent need of emergency shelter, water, food, medicines and reconstruction support. The Government of Nepal (GoN) declared a state of emergency and reported 8,891 deaths, 605,254 houses destroyed and 288,244 homes damaged. CRS is supporting the Nepal government’s recovery and rehabilitation efforts.
A 3-year multi-donor $11 M Gorkha Recovery and Resilience Project (GRRP) provides technical support for more than 20,000 households in reconstruction of earthquake resilient houses, livelihoods recovery and WASH. The majority of funding comes from CRS private funds, with additional support from LDSC and Caritas Canada (Development and Peace), Caritas Spain and Caritas Austria.

I had to truncate the last leaf a bit because I was running out of wool, but I don't think you can tell. I did the crocheted edging from the pattern but I don't really like it - I think in future I will stick with a knitted finish (like the other red rug).
I finally got one of this plant. It's a good size of flower for the plant size. It's forming a seedpod now, so there may be more in future.

I apologise for the poor quality of the photographs in this collection, as a lot of you will know Manchester Airport is in the process of building a new GA Terminal which has encroached heavily into the viewing area, with the result that the two viewing mounds have gone and all that is left is the low one near to the shop and café.
Now that’s fine, but unfortunately, they have also built a new security fence which appears to be higher than the old one and is topped with a roll of heavy razor wire, which makes photography very difficult and, in some cases, impossible!
Because I was time constrained, I had no option but to use this old area, but in future I will be going round to the South side and, even although there are no facilities of any sort, at least I’ll get a clear view of the aircraft.
The AVE (Activate, Visit, Experience) is a product of the Resort Area Mobility Plan's (RAMP) engagement process and efforts to balance the needs of the stakeholder groups while aligning with mobility priorities identified by the Resort Area Strategic Action Plan (RASAP), adopted June 2, 2020. Its focus is to improve the experience along Atlantic Avenue. The RAMP Steering Committee reviewed several alternatives for Atlantic Avenue improvements as part of the RAMP community engagement process. A preferred concept was identified for a portion of Atlantic Avenue in January 2021 to move forward with the pilot demonstration project.
Virginia Beach is spending $300,000 on The AVE, and city planners want feedback from the public. The pilot program will help the city figure out what works and what should be considered in future design plans for Atlantic Avenue. Several of the businesses that front the busy thoroughfare hope the changes will improve the resort area’s atmosphere, which many have said has become stagnant.
The demonstration project began September 3, 2021 to activate Atlantic Avenue by repurposing the existing trolley lanes from 17th to 20th St. and replacing them with public art, dedicated active transportation lanes for alternative modes of transportation (bicycles, scooters, etc.), bicycle parking, vehicle parking in the off season, entertainment space, and dining parklets. The purpose is to test and collect data to serve as a foundation for a comprehensive Atlantic Avenue improvements project.

The church of St Nicholas at Willoughby is the result of a complete rebuilding in the early years of the 16th century, ending with construction of the west tower which was finished in 1536. It is thus quite unusual for find a small church like this from the early Tudor period, manifesting a kind of rural Perpendicular. We don't alas have the entire late medieval building though since the chancel was rebuilt again at the beginning of the 19th century and its external rendering contrasts sharply with the rest of the building.
Inside the shallow arches of the nave betray the late medieval rebuilding, though the flat plaster ceilings suggest late Georgian remodelling, probably contemporary with the rebuilding of the chancel. The font in the south aisle however is 13th century and the oldest feature of the church, clearly from the previous building.
The church has generally been kept locked outside services though on my previous visit in the early 90s keyholder details were given. This time I was very fortunate to meet a nice lady on my way through the churchyard who just happened to have a key and kindly let me inside, and suggested that in future the church may be kept open more regularly.

The goal of Star of Hope school activities in Trinidad is to give poor children the skills necessary to enter primary school so that in future they better chance to improve their own lives.
In our schools, we give children a well-balanced meal and basic health care.
These things together create conditions for children from poor backgrounds to grow up into healthy, educated adults who can provide for themselves and their family. In this way we are able to help develop entire communities! For how can a child be able to rise out of poverty if he or she cannot read or write, and are always hungry or ill?
Another important objective of the activities is to show these children and their parents that there are people who see their situation and who want to help them to change it.
In all things we purpose to demonstrate the love of God toward the people we serve and as possible share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Advocate Europe is an idea challenge for innovative European projects. We are looking for original and transnational project proposals that foster connection and cohesion in Europe. "Advocate Europe" is open to civil society actors who seek financing and support to realise sustainable ideas. These can come from fields as diverse as civic education, arts and culture or social innovation. We fund around twelve project ideas with up to €50,000 each and support their realisation through mentoring and networking activities.
How do we want to live in future? What is the ‘culture of welcome’ we should extend to refugees arriving in Europe? What is the future of social services and welfare systems in Europe? These are some of the questions that the winning project ideas of the Advocate Europe idea challenge are trying to answer.
Out of 575 submitted proposals, the expert jury has selected ten winning projects which use innovative means to foster cohesion and connection in Europe. In June the teams met in Berlin for the Networking Meeting.

Now it was Time for the Fan Favourite to Enter onto the Brands Hatch Circuit with the Pre 66 Touring Cars Championship. With Mini's Lotus Cortina's and Ford Falcons. This was One Race that No One Wanted to Miss. After a Very Fast Paced Qualifying Session on the Saturday Which saw (Alan Greenhalgh) take Pole Position who Will be able to Challenge Him During the Race and Snatch Victory Away from Him.

In partnership with Caritas Nepal, CRS provided 50-day trainings to masons with a focus on earthquake-resilient construction techniques. These masons then led teams of unskilled laborers or people who participated in a shorter training. Trained masons help ensure that houses will be more resilient in future earthquakes and that families will be eligible to receive all three tranches (installments) of reconstruction money from the government. The project put a special focus on training female masons and people from vulnerable groups.
Sanju Bishwakarma, 28, is a lead mason in ongoing reconstruction projects. Her crew trusts her and she is known for her skill in binding rebar supports. Although some female masons reported that some families hesitated to hire them based on biases against women working construction, clients seek out Sanju based on her reputation for high-end work. She is simultaneously building her own home, although her government grants have been delayed based on a mistake in registration (she will be eligible when that mistake is rectified).
Here, Sanju is pictured in front of her partially-constructed home. She has done all the work herself, including design and foundation footings, and she has paid for all materials with her earnings as a lead mason. She will receive her government grants when a mistake with paperwork is resolved, but she wanted to build her home as quickly as possible. Her husband, Hira Bishwakarma, 30, (also pictured) assists with the manual labor for their home. So far they have walls and a temporary roof over one room of their future home, where they all sleep. They have one daughter, Arati Bishwakarma, 7, seen in some images as she gets ready for school.

A 3-year multi-donor $11 M Gorkha Recovery and Resilience Project (GRRP) provides technical support for more than 20,000 households in reconstruction of earthquake resilient houses, livelihoods recovery and WASH. The majority of funding comes from CRS private funds, with additional support from LDSC and Caritas Canada (Development and Peace), Caritas Spain and Caritas Austria.

Blueberry Cheesecake (Almost Syn Free)
After the success with the half syn roulade, I decided to take the recipe one step further and make something else from it. I adore cheesecake and an idea was beginning to take shape..... The secret to the crunchy bottom lies in the buckwheat, which is syn free, unlike crushed up biscuits mixed with butter.
Serves 8 (or two very greedy people)
½ syn for the whole cake
generous ½ cup buckwheat
2 tbsp sweetener
1 tbsp ground ginger
½ tub quark
4 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp sweetener
500g tub fat free fromage frais
1 ½ tubs quark
1 cup sweetener
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 sachet gelatine*
400g fresh or frozen blueberries
* The cake was really quite soft, which was rather nice, but if I was serving it for a dinner party, I would probably use 2 sachets or 1½ in future as it started to droop fairly quickly.
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 23cm spring form cake tin by spraying it with Fry Light. Heat a frying pan to medium-high heat and dry toast the buckwheat until they start to brown, 3-5 minutes. Switch off the pan, add 2 tbsp sweetener, the ginger and ca 1 tbsp water to mix it all in. Stir until all the water has evaporated. Quickly line the bottom of the cake tin with the buckwheat and leave to cool.
Separate the eggs. Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form. In another bowl whisk the egg yolks with half of one of the tubs of quark, the baking powder and 4 tbsp sweetener. Carefully fold in to the egg whites. Pour mixture on top of the buckwheat in the tin. Bake for 15-20 minutes until a skewer comes out clean. Allow to cool in the tin. Don't worry if the cake looks very high at this stage, it will settle down when it has cooled.
Using an electric whisk, beat together the fromage frais, the rest of the quark, ½ cup of sweetener and vanilla essence. Dissolve the contents of the gelatine in 120ml boiling water and beat well to ensure it is properly mixed. Allow to cool a little before gently mixing in to the fromage frais mixture. Spread the mixture over the cake and leave for at least two hours to set.
Finally top with blueberries, remove the sleeve and serve.

The Mini's were Up Next and After Some Incredible Racing Yesterday which Saw the Likes of Rupert Deeth Take 1st with Scott Kendall 2nd and Colin Peacock 3rd it was Going to be an Intense Battle at the Front of the Field.
The Likes of Endaf Owens was Also Prepared after an Engine Failure During Yesterdays Race Which Many thought would put him out of Contention for Today..........However With Some Incredible Overnight Work by Him and His Fellow Mechanics as well as a Late Night Trip to Wales and Back to Pick Up a Spare Engine, Endaf and His Dedicated Team Have Managed to Get his Car Ready for Race 2. Truly a Phenomenal Achievement. Lets Hope for Better Luck this Time.

As The Light Fell away from the Circuit The Britcar Endurance Championship made its way out onto the circuit with Lights a Blaze and a lot of Energy coming from both the Drivers and their Cars This was Going to be a Race of Endurance and Car Management thought the 45 Minutes of the Race.
