HERMOSILLO, SONORA, OCTUBRE 21 DE 2014.- Por el éxito en los procesos implementados para mejorar la atención a los ciudadanos en sus diferentes áreas, la Secretaría de Desarrollo Social (SEDESSON) recibió la placa y constancias de acreditación del Sistema de Calidad Gubernamental “Nuevo Sonora”.
El Subsecretario de Recursos Humanos del Estado, Miguel Méndez Méndez, entregó la placa de acreditación al Secretario de Desarrollo Social, Luis Alberto Plascencia Osuna así como las constancias a los representantes de las nueve unidades administrativas acreditadas.
Precisamente es una certificación a los procesos que estamos instrumentando en la SEDESSON, a través del sistema de Calidad Gubernamental y Recursos Humanos nos está reconociendo por la eficiencia que hemos estado mostrando en las áreas administrativas.
Y la idea es precisamente es que estos resultados se estén logrando en las demás oficinas para poder dar un servicio de calidad a los ciudadanos como lo ha pedido el Gobernador Guillermo Padrés y con esto estamos haciendo realmente lo que tenemos que hacer como gobierno, señaló Plascencia Osuna.
La certificación fue a las áreas de Despacho del Secretario, Subsecretaria de Desarrollo Social y Humano, Programas Sociales, Administración, Asuntos Jurídicos y Enlace Institucional y de Participación Ciudadana.
Luego de felicitar al personal que labora en cada una de las áreas, el titular de SEDESSON los invitó a seguir trabajando para servir con calidad y atender a las exigencias que demanda el ciudadano, pues los colaboradores más exitosos son lo que se adaptan más pronto a los cambios.
En el evento se contó con la presencia de Célida Teresa López Cárdenas, Subsecretaria de Participación Ciudadana y Enlace Institucional de SEDESSON, Mayra Villaescusa, Facilitador de Calidad, y Álvaro Othón Navarro, representante de la Dirección ante el Sistema de Calidad Gubernamental, entre otros funcionarios e invitados.

Exactly a year after President Obama announced his historic DAPA and expanded DACA programs providing relief to millions of undocumented immigrants across the country, hundreds of families will gather outside the Supreme Court asking for rapid resolution of a Republican legal challenge to the program.
The Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) would provide relief for parents of citizen and lawful permanent resident children if the parent had resided in the country for at least five years. Expanded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) would provide relief for children brought to the United States prior to their 16th birthday and before January 2010 who have graduated from or are in the course of obtaining their education. Just in the DC region, hundreds of thousands of immigrants would qualify for the program, providing a needed economic boost to local communities while ensuring that nuclear families could not be divided by deportation. Twenty-six Republican-led states filed litigation to stop the program and just last week the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the decision eliminating the program. The Department of Justice plans to quickly file an appeal to that decision to the Supreme Court.

Participants in a learning event held on June 4, 2014 had the opportunity to learn more about the experiences of Opportunity International (Ghana), Habitat for Humanity (India), and the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (Afghanistan) in the development and implementation of housing microfinance initiatives.
In 2009, USAID awarded three new Implementation Grant Programs (IGPs) to promote housing microfinance for poor households. The grantees have been testing different models of financing and assisting housing improvements and micro-mortgages. The objective of these IGPs is to allow grantees to develop and implement viable business models and roll out products to a greater number of clients, and to document and share their learning with the program and the industry. Such approaches aim to support improved standards of living as well as asset creation for poor households, while being commercially viable for microfinance institutions.
The SEEP Network has been facilitating a learning network that ensures high quality outcomes with respect to the learning processes of the grantees along with the creation of highly relevant learning products for wide-scale dissemination. The learning network advances the learning agenda for the Housing MF IGP network and the industry at large.

For the fifth year, nearly 100 USC students from 10 colleges focused on pressing issues at the USC Global Health Case Competition. This year, teams had a week to identify and implement global programs to foster healthy communities in lower-income countries, as mock consultants “hired” by the American Cancer Society.
Master of Public Health candidates Danielle Pappas, Evan Pye and Jessica Frankeberger; psychology undergraduate Jennifer Bailey and dual-degree pharmacy and PharmD/MPH student Amy Nham were members of the winning team.
On Feb. 11, students presented to judges — a mix of USC faculty and American Cancer Society representatives. Each team pored over research related to health promotion and cancer prevention in low- and middle-income countries and developed a five-year, sustainable, realistically financed strategic plan to further cancer prevention through healthy environments and lifestyles.
Teams included students from the USC Marshall School of Business, the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, the USC Annenberg School for Communication, the USC Price School of Public Policy, the USC School of Social Work, the USC Leventhal School of Accounting, the USC School of Pharmacy and the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy.
Rosie Henson, American Cancer Society vice president for prevention and early detection — and one of the judges — treated participants to a lecture midway through the day as part of the USC Global Health Lecture Series. She addressed the movement to include cancer in discussions of one of the most pervasive challenges facing everyone: improving Americans’ health and well-being.

Esta feria, realizada en forma bianual, reúne a mas de mil empresas de los cinco continentes, en donde se exponen diversos productos como también servicios ligados al rubro de la minería, generando grandes negocios y alianzas estratégicas entre empresas.
Espero volver a trabajar en esta feria el próximo 2021, mas preparado, con mas experiencia y con mejores implementos de los que a día de hoy poseo.
