Implementation of the Elimination of Violence against Women (EVAW) law in Afghanistan has a long way to go, the United Nations Assistance Mission to Afghanistan (UNAMA) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said in a report released today. Judicial and law enforcement officials have sporadically implemented the two-year-old law supporting the equality and rights of Afghan women, and the Government has not yet succeeded in applying the law to the vast majority of cases of violence against women.

Britten recently headed up a large project that combined site surveys, hardware, print, and installation at several different Vail resorts across the country.
Following the on-site analysis at each resort (which was conducted in 6 different states in the span of a week), recommendations were made for specifically sized BannerStretch™ tensioned frames, silicone-edged fabric frames, and decal applications in other instances. Design templates were provided for each location and a unique piece of artwork was provided for every individual piece of media.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.
We want to thank you for your interest in our work and thanks for visiting our work on Flickr, we do appreciate you and the contributions you make in furthering our interest in photography and on social media in general.

NEW CHALLENGES we have witnessed an alarming increase in the number of sexual harassment cases in the University in the past yPar. The GSCASH annual report which mentions a whopping 32 cases of sexual harassment is evidence for the same. .
The Immediate challenges staring the GSCASH In .
the face are: use of influence and power to override GSCASH .
verdicts, lack of institutional accountability by the .
administration .

GSCASH through measures like expanding the body at all levels .
and Increasing the infrastructure. .
What adds Insult to Injury Is the way In which the GSCASH .

under weak and dubious pretexts, without any rational or .
logical explanation of their disapproval ofthe GSCASH reportl .
Another senior faculty member accused of sexual harassment. .
on whom Inquiry is still pending, has been promoted to senior .
positions like deanship. .
WHY THE AUTONOMY OF GSCASH MUST BE SAFEGUARDED: GSCASH formed in April, 1999 Is a produr.t of our combined struggle for gender justice; engendering consciousness and sensitivity; creating a workplace conditioned by equality. Vlshakha guidelines of 1997 was a landmark judgment, which .
sought to empower the complainant, most often, a women suffering gender discrimination, to equality before law, despite the hierarchy of the workplace. Equality before law to all .
citizens guaranteed in the Article 14 of the constitution can be achieved effectively and substantially, only when enabling conditions are created for the hitherto disadvantaged and oppressed sections. .
So, one of the central concerns for setting up GSCASH like Institution was to have an autonomous body which Is Immune from the hierarchical command structure at workplace to deal with complalntspfsexual harassment. The underlying rationale .
Is simple: Any workplace has a hierarchical command structure -the boss/ CEO and the clerk, the teacher and student and so on. In such a work-place structure, it used to be impossible for the victim, if s/he is lower in the command hierarchy, to get any justice In case of sexual harassment from the existing bodies which are commanded by the higher-ups. The Supreme Court, while laying down the Vishakha guidelines (1997), recognised this specific nature ofworkplace and how rights of all employees to equal and safe work condition can stand violated due to gendered harassment, discrimination and violence. Indeed, what this landmark judgment underlined was the urgent need for a mechanism within the institution itself to ensure safe working condition for women as a right in itself. In other words, autonomy of GSCASH from the given hierarchical command structure of any Institution Is a sine qua non for Its existence and efficacy. Sadly, the recent trends in JNU shows that there is a concerted attempt so that GSCASH is subordinated to the administration's bullies and the EC members who trash GSCASH reports without the slightest effort to read reports or provide .
reasoned logic. Their single-minded agenda remains to curry.
favour with their influential 'aakas' accused of sexual harassment and act in their interest. This dangerous trend has completely curtailed GSCASH's autonomy and compromised Its .
raison d'ltre. It Is for this precise reason, that the students .
cfemanded that GSCASH decisions be made binding on the .
administration. .
In light of the administration's shameful collusion with the .
powerful lobbies in the EC by forming sub-committees .
comprising of peers in cases of sexual harassment against .

constant threat ofthe lopsided Sexual Harassment at workplace .
Act (2013) notified in December 2013 which threatens the democratic and autonomous character of GSCASH, the struggle for rights of all marginalized and oppressed genders must be strengthened and sharpened. .
TASKS AT HAND: .
DEMOCRATIC RIGHTS OF PEOPLE OF ALL GENDERS/SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS. PREVENTING HARASSMENT OF THE LGBTIQ PEOPLE: .
.
Sexual Harassment ofthe LGBTIQ people is a social norm which enjoys support of the homophobic society and now, the fossilized IPC which facilitates the police to perpetrate violence and prejudice against them. GSCASH should revise its Rules and Guidelines to include hate crimes and violence against the LGBTIQ people as sexual harassment. This is important, as they are unable to bring their harassers to book, hindered by the intimidation and blackmail of legal action as per section .

However, they are actually hair dressers tools. They are a type of curling iron used to set ladies hair in a "Marcel Wave". In 1872 Francois Marcel Grateau invented the hairstyle that became known as the "Marcel Wave."

The implementation of Peace Agreement is undoubtedly compromised and partially derailed says Festus G Mogae Chairperson of Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission during the plenary meeting on October 19, 2016. Despite the challenges he remains hopeful that conditions will improve and the full capacity for implementation will be restored once again.
âThe fighting has disintegrated all the Transitional Security Arrangement Mechanisms, the little that had been accomplished has been lost,â he laments.
Pointing out that the threat of any further violence on such a fragile nation is a failure of leadership and a betrayal of people who deserve better.
Reflecting back to July, he said they have witnessed escalating hostility that has led to near daily violations of the ceasefire and a developing conflict between SPLA-IG and SPLA-IO. âUnfortunate sequence of events has unfolded and a fragile peace has deteriorated into open hostilities.â

The “VET for the Future” project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Vocational Education. It covers eight VET (vocational and technical) schools, four of them in Baku, and four in the country’s regions: two in Ganja and two in Jalilabad and Sheki.
The project improves the quality of VET provision by increasing employment opportunities for VET graduates and by providing employers with qualified personnel who have the skills and abilities that the market needs.
This year, one VET graduate who managed to find a good job shortly after graduating is 17-year-old Malahat Azizova. After successfully training as a cook at VET school No.5 (Buzovna village near Baku), the young woman, and several other classmates, were assigned an internship at Villa, a famous Turkish restaurant in the Amburan Mall.
