In 1998 we began implementing the decision to switch from traditional to sustainable agriculture, a system which favours the use of natural alternatives to fertilize, prevent and control pests, diseases and weeds. This is a comprehensive agricultural system that works hand-in-hand with clean and healthy environment policies.
The idea is to avoid as much as we can the use of non-natural elements, through the use of geese, sheep, insects and plants. The environment becomes a self regulating system, and our fruit is cultivated in a cleaner and healthier way.

"It is my will that the expansion of the inner city of Vienna with regard to a suitable connection of the same with the suburbs as soon as possible is tackled and at this on Regulirung (regulation) and beautifying of my Residence and Imperial Capital is taken into account. To this end I grant the withdrawal of the ramparts and fortifications of the inner city and the trenches around the same".
This decree of Emperor Franz Joseph I, published on 25 December 1857 in the Wiener Zeitung, formed the basis for the largest the surface concerning and architecturally most significant transformation of the Viennese cityscape. Involving several renowned domestic and foreign architects a "master plan" took form, which included the construction of a boulevard instead of the ramparts between the inner city and its radially upstream suburbs. In the 50-years during implementation phase, an impressive architectural ensemble developed, consisting of imperial and private representational buildings, public administration and cultural buildings, churches and barracks, marking the era under the term "ring-street style". It was the palace of Archduke Albrecht (1817-1895), the Senior of the Habsburg Family Council, who as Field Marshal held the overall command over the Austro-Hungarian army. The building was incorporated into the imperial residence of the Hofburg complex, forming the south-west corner and extending eleven meters above street level on the so-called Augustinerbastei.
The close proximity of the palace to the imperial residence corresponded not only with Emperor Franz Joseph I and Archduke Albert with a close familial relationship between the owner of the palace and the monarch. An exception here again proves the rule: Don Emanuel Teles da Silva Conde Tarouca (1696-1771), for which Maria Theresa in 1744 the palace had built, was just a close friend and advisor of the monarch. Silva Tarouca underpins the rule with a second exception, because he belonged to the administrative services as Generalhofbaudirektor (general court architect) and President of the Austrian-Dutch administration, while all other him subsequent owners were highest ranking military.

Charles Alexander of Lorraine promoted as governor of the Austrian Netherlands from 1741 to 1780 the Academy of Fine Arts, the Théâtre de Ja Monnaie and the companies Bourgeois Concert and Concert Noble, he founded the Academie royale et imperial des Sciences et des Lettres, opened the Bibliotheque Royal for the population and supported artistic talents with high scholarships. World fame got his porcelain collection, which however had to be sold by Emperor Joseph II to pay off his debts. Duke Albert began in 1776 according to the concept of conte Durazzo to set up an encyclopedic collection of prints, which forms the core of the world-famous "Albertina" today.

1816 declared to Fideikommiss and thus in future indivisible, inalienable and inseparable, the collection 1822 passed into the possession of Archduke Carl, who, like his descendants, it broadened. Under him, the collection was introduced together with the sumptuously equipped palace on the Augustinerbastei in the so-called "Carl Ludwig'schen fideicommissum in 1826, by which the building and the in it kept collection fused into an indissoluble unity. The era of stately representation with handing down their cultural values found its most obvious visualization inside the palace through the design and features of the staterooms. On one hand, by the use of the finest materials and the purchase of masterfully manufactured pieces of equipment, such as on the other hand by the permanent reuse of older equipment parts. This period lasted until 1919, when Archduke Friedrich was expropriated by the newly founded Republic of Austria. After Palais Tarouca or tarokkisches house it was called Lorraine House, afterwards Duke Albert Palais and Palais Archduke Carl. Due to the new construction of an adjacently located administration building it received in 1865 the prefix "Upper" and was referred to as Upper Palais Archduke Albrecht and Upper Palais Archduke Frederick. For the state a special reference to the Habsburg past was certainly politically no longer opportune, which is why was decided to name the building according to the in it kept collection "Albertina".

This name derives from the term "La Collection Albertina" which had been used by the gallery Inspector Maurice von Thausing in 1870 in the Gazette des Beaux-Arts for the former graphics collection of Duke Albert. Lion Md Gani Miah Babul is a well known and enlightened name to the media, media worker, education sector and the common people of Bangladesh. He was also the Central Chairman of Bangladesh Diploma Agriculturist Association. He was a meritorious student. Lion Md Gani Miah Babul has obtained BA, BAGEd, Dip-in-Agri degrees. Besides his research on agriculture, he conducted extensive research on religion. He earned name and fame by his writing on contemporary affairs, social problem, public awareness and feature as well as by his spiritual writing and research. Personally, Lion Gani Miah Babul is actively involved in social, cultural, sports and religious organization. From his passion for writing from student life he worked for different national and regional papers remarkably of which Daily Khabar, Daily Ganamukh, Daily Muktasangbad, Dainik Janasangbad where Lion Gani Miah Babul worked as a journalist. At present Lion Md Gani Miah Babul has continued his work from the first class dailies to the weekly magazines irrespectively.
Lion Md Gani Miah is working as a silent social worker in love with the people and the land. He is always a smiling face in standing by the poor community. He helps the father burdened with an unmarried daughter and provides the poor students with educational materials. He has already established school, madrasah, masjid, Islamic library and other quality institutions in his area to disseminate the light of knowledge. He has written many educative books. Lion Md Gani Miah Babul, son of Md Ismail Hossain and Ayesha Khatun, came of an aristocratic family in village: Tepirbari of Upazila: Sreepur of Gazipur district, not far from Dhaka. He has 1 daughter and 2 sons and a successful man in also family life.
Lion Md Gani Miah has long involvement with Lionism in which he already was awarded MJF award. Through this club he has provided eye treatment to a large number of people in different areas including own area. Lion Gani Miah Babul is now a well known poet of the country whose poem has caught attention of the society both home and abroad. His writing about social awareness has already been popular online crossing the boundary of the country to the Bangali living worldwide. Lion Md Gani Miah is involved in many social, cultural and sports organization. Of them he is now the Chairman of Bangabandhu Research Council, Kabi Sangsad Bangladesh , Kasm Ali National Ideal School, Sreepur, Bangladesh Sarkari Maddhyamik Sikkhak Samity ( Krishi ), Late Kasm Ali Bari Jame Masjid of Tepibari Pacchimpara of Sreepur under Gazipur district, Masjid based library in Tepirbari West Para Jame Masjid. Lion Gani Miah Babul is also Central Joint Secretary of a well known social organization ‘Nirapad Sarak Chai’ and also he is advisor of Nirapad Sarak Chai of Gazipur district branch. He is now involved with a number of newspaper and related organization of whom Sangbad Sangstha and Online Daily, Fair News Service Ltd FNS of which he is executive Director, Chief Advisor Sahitya Online Anyadharadotcom, Chief Advisor, Weekly Nabajagaran and Weekly Lokaloy. Besides journalism he also has made involvement with reporters union such as he is the executive Chair man of National Journalist Union, Chief Advisor, Gazipur District Reporters Club, Advisor, Rural Journalist Foundation (RJF). He is not only known as a poet rather he has played important role in organizing the poets and he is the Chairman of Poet Council. LegCo Joint Subcommittee to Monitor the Implementation of the West Kowloon Cultural District Project visits West Kowloon Cultural District (2017.12.21)
The Projects with Under-Served Communities (PUC) program at The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) allows students to apply their education towards the physical implementation of a project in a underserved community. For the past year our group has worked to implement a solar energy system to be installed at a children’s malnutrition clinic in San Agustín Acasaguastlán, El Progreso, Guatemala. The PUC Guatemala team consists of eight engineering and social work students who aim to provide a sustainable energy solution for a children’s malnutrition clinic in rural Guatemala, where poverty and chronic undernutrition continue to be a substantial social problem. By implementing this solution, we hope to allow the clinic to continue successful operation with a consistent and sustainable source of energy, and to eliminate the cost of electricity for the clinic so funds may be redirected to purchase medical equipment, food, and other basic necessities, such as diapers and bottles, which will contribute to the overall well-being of the patients.
A Little over a year after its implementation, members of the Lydford/Moneague women’s farmer Group have been reaping Pig Production successes beyond the initial projections.
The group of women from the rural Lydford/Moneague communities in South East St. Ann with support from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Jamaica have turned to pig production to support themselves and their families in the absence of opportunities once linked to the bauxite sector.
Under a project that began in 2016, the FAO equipped the group of nine (9) women with financial resources and technical expertise to provide additional employment for women in the community and also expose them to pork production and business Management skills. Since then, the project’s beneficiaries have been commending the FAO for what they say have contributed to the improvement of their income and livelihood opportunities.
Under the project, an 880 square feet piggery unit and adjacent sow paddock was created and the group presented with 15 pigs (three pregnant gilts, two maiden gilts and ten weaner pigs) as well as feed and medication inputs.
Notably, women in the group were also trained in livestock management, land and animal husbandry; animal bio safety and reproduction. The women also received business development training to include marketing and book-keeping.
To date, the group now has 42 pigs and counting and are looking to sustain the positive gains by expanding to agriculture micro-enterprising. Based on the active jerk seasoning and sauce industry in neighbouring Golden Grove and Walkers wood communities, the Lydford/Moneague Women’s Group is assessing ways to move up the value chain for processed pork. There is also an opportunity to engage Community youth through collaboration with the newly opened Jeffrey Ville Agricultural School in Moneague.

IMCOM employees bid Brig. Gen. Arnold Gordon-Bray farewell during a ceremony held at Mulligan's Snack Bar at the Ft. Sam Houston Golf Club Feb. 11. Bray has served as IMCOM Headquarters Director of G-3/5/7 Operations, Plans, Training, Emergency Services and Mobilization since July 2010. He will become Deputy Director of Operations for AFRICOM Headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany.
Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch praised Bray as a "visionary" who immediately set about implementing change when he came on board. Bray said that despite his short time at IMCOM, he would welcome the opportunity to return.
"I'm very proud that I've been a part of this organization," he said. "I would come back in a New York minute, if allowed."

Kavalcare Solar System for Jhpiego Mid-Wife Clinic Dec8, 2014
Every year, 12,000 women in Pakistan die of birth complications. The Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Services Component, implemented by MCHIP/Jhpiego, aims at preventing maternal, newborn, and child deaths by ensuring skilled birth attendance (SBA) through a total market approach, empowered community, timely referral of obstetric and neonatal complications to an emergency obstetric and newborn care (EmONC) facility, and improved access to child care.
Lack of electricity in remote areas is a major issue that often leads to obstetric complications and newborn deaths. Refrigerated storage is vital for the effectiveness of life saving drugs and vaccines. Ice boxes are used in remot areas of this purpose but it is an ineffective method especially when easy availability of ice is a problem. To overcome these issues, Lodhie Foundation in association with Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program/JHPIEGO, extended its Kavalcare program and provided a Solar Powered System to a remote clinic located at village Haji Usman Jhakro near Makli, District Thatta. System provides sufficient power to operate a small refrigerator, a fan and 3 lamps 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It was designed, manufactured and installed by Shaan Technologies private Limited Karachi. After installation of Solar System in August 2014, this small remote clinic is serving a community of 10,000 plus persons who lives in village Haji Usman and surrounding areas. On an average 10 patients visits this clinic each day. Clinic also provides up to 15 birth attendance and new born care in a month.

Agahi to implement the Nokia-UNESCO Mobile Learning initiative to deliver quality education to teachers
Nokia Pakistan and UNESCO collaborate to launch Mobile Learning for Teacher’s in Pakistan using Nokia Education Delivery App to facilitate teacher training via mobile phones
Nokia Pakistan and UNESCO Islamabad launched the project “Mobile Learning Project for Teacher’s Professional Development” today as formal collaboration in the presence of senior government officials, Nokia representatives and UNESCO representatives. As part of this program, UNESCO and Nokia are joining hands, where Nokia is providing its mobile phones and its application “Nokia Education Delivery (NED) for UNESCO’s project on ‘use of ICT for professional development of public school teachers’ in remote areas.
Since 2011 NED has turned into an open source solution to improve livelihoods, and in order to support such mobile learning innovations to be filled with life in Pakistan, The project will be implemented by AGAHI, a UNESCO partner and a non-profit foundation working in the area of communication and media policy design.
Nokia developed NED to allow using a mobile phone to access and download videos and other educational materials from a constantly updated education library. Operating in hundreds of schools and having reached millions of students in the Philippines, Tanzania, Chile and Colombia, Nokia Education Delivery has been shown to improve study results and increase retention among students.
This collaboration is part of the agreement signed last year between UNESCO and Nokia at international level to promote the use of mobile technologies to further the objectives of “Education for All”. As part of this agreement Nokia is developing applications and new Mobile technologies offering access to information and enrich learning environments at global level.
In Pakistan, through the project “Mobile Learning for Teachers” Nokia’s Education Delivery application will help UNESCO to enable the delivery of high- quality educational materials to teachers who lack training and resources though mobile phones giving an opportunity to teachers to train themselves on the same level as professionally competent teachers.
Speaking about the project, UNESCO Director, Kozue Kai Nagata said, “In 21st century Public- private partnerships are enjoying growing attention and support as a new and sustainable modality for development. We are confident to collaborate with Nokia to provide us with the best platform to train public school teachers. Nokia Education Delivery is fit to match our need of delivering quality training to a large number of public school teachers across Pakistan through the project named “Mobile Learning for Teachers”
Amir Jahangir, President AGAHI and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, shared his views on the launch that “Pakistan is a knowledge starved country, where universal education has its own challenges. To meet the target of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) on education, Pakistan needs to address its education challenges through innovation and technology which can reach to a larger population with cost effective solutions”.
Speaking about the launch of NED program, Ulrike Vott Nokia Sustainability Manager for Middle East said, “Nokia Education Delivery facilitates education in a fun and interactive way. In addition to the NED software, Nokia offers program implementation support for the benefit of Pakistan’s education landscape.” The Nokia Education Delivery software system has two modules. The first module is installed on a Nokia mobile phone and contains a browse able catalog of educational videos. The second module is installed on the computer of the education administrator. It manages the organization’s mobile video library, so that videos can be added, deleted and updated. It also provides information on the usage of different videos.”
This unique pilot project for Pakistan has been initiated by UNESCO and AGAHI aims at using Mobile phones as medium for training teachers, where the teachers in remote areas will be equipped with devices, SIMs, a software solution and high quality educational content. The course for training and capacity building will be developed into video files and will be transmitted step by step according to curriculum on the phones provided to teachers. Over the course of the training period, teachers will be tested via SMS on regular basis and as an incentive, those who will score highest in tests will receive free mobile top ups. At the end of the course, test scores of all teachers will be aggregated and the passing teachers will be awarded certificate in the final workshop.
AGAHI is UNESCO implementing partner in Pakistan. A not for profit, AGAHI specializes in creating communication, information and media policy design tools, that enables the stakeholders to engage in information collaboration on knowledge-based platforms. AGAHI works in building the capacity of knowledge workers in creating content based on best practices to disseminate information in building a more integrated knowledge ecosystem.

For much of my youth, I seriously thought I was going to become a grain farmer. Whenever my dad would go into the field to hay/plant, I would go with him. I would play with toy tractors/implements in the sandbox and in the yard all spring, summer and fall.
I got out the old toys, they haven't been played with in probably well over 13 years, they've seen better days as they are not in the best shape anymore and some of the toys are broken.
I decided to play around in the snow, I call this "Harvest season", I got out one of my old toy Case IH toy tractors, and my Allis Chalmers combine. Oddly enough, the toy tractor is an exact replica of the tractor I use for haying each summer at the farm.
Oh how I miss my childhood.. a simpler time where a toy tractor could bring you hours of joy!
I wonder if they still make toys out of metal and rubber to this very day or if theyre all made out of plastic now.. blech!

Dr.Mihir Kumar Panda though bestowed to a popular name as Einstein of Odisha is obliviously treated as Thomas Alva Edison of India.
Dr. Panda's residential house also resembles a museum with scientific innovations of different shapes and sizes stacked in every nook and cranny which proves his scientific involvement in personal life.
Innovator Panda believes that , the best thing a child can do with a toy to break it. he also believes that by Educating child in his/her choice subject/ passion a progressive nation can be built.
The shelf made scientist Dr. Panda believes that Education is a life long process whose scope is far greater than school curriculum. The moulding of models/ innovations done by hand always better than the things heard and the facts incorporated in the books.
With no agricultural background, Dr. Panda has developed unique natural bonsai in his Vijnana Bana Ashram which also shows path for earning just by uprooting and nurturing the plants which are found to be small and thumb in nature.
Dr. Panda's Scientific Endeavour and research is no doubt praise worthy. One cannot but believe his dedicated effort in simple innovation laboratory.
Social service, innovation/ inventions, writing, free technology to students for preparation of science exhibition projects, free technology to common men for their sustainability, preparation of big natural bonsai, technology for entrepreneurs and industrialists for innovative item are few works of Mihir Kumar Panda after his Government service.
. To overcome the difficulties of science and math, explanation in classes, innovator Panda has created few thousands of educational, societal and scientific innovations which helps teachers and students of the country and abroad.
Dr. Panda believes that though inventions/innovation has reached under thousands and thousands deep in the sea and high up in the space. It has reached on moon and mars, but unfortunately the sustainable inventions/innovation has not properly gone to the tiny tots and common people.
Dr. Panda is amazing and wizard of innovations and works with a principle the real scientist is he, who sees the things simply and works high.
