Some of my out and about during this Coronavirus pandemic. Not really getting a lot or even going anywhere I like, cause most everything is closed.

Da in den CFL Triebwagen der Serie 2200 aktuell ETCS verbaut wird, verlieren immer mehr Triebwagen ihre Belgienzulassung, was dazu geführt hat, dass seit März 2016 etliche Züge zwischen Rodange und Athus durch Busse ersetzt werden. Um zumindest am Sonntag einen durchgehenden Zugbetrieb zu gewährleisten, setzt die CFL auf der Strecke Dostogarnituren ein. Abgesehen von 2 morgendlichen Verstärkern sind die Dostowendezüge 2013 mit der Zweigleisigkeit von dieser Strecke verschwunden.
Comme les automotrices de la série 2200 des CFL sont en cours d'équipement du dispositif ETCS, elles perdent progressivement leur homologation pour le réseau belge. Cette situation a provoqué un remplacement d'un grand nombre de trains sur Rodange-Athus par des bus de substitution.
Avant l'homologation de cette nouvelle configuration ETCS et afin de continuer à offrir un service de train entre Luxembourg et Athus les dimanches, des rames tractées ont refait leur apparition sur cette relation durant mars 2016.

A northern diver/common loon (Gavia immer) in its bright winter plumage, that came pretty close one day.
If I look for them, I can find them every day here during winter and early spring. I saw several of them on my birdwatching trip with a friend today as well.
If we are lucky, we see them in their stunning breeding plumage right before leaving for the Arctic regions for breeding.

(Overly) sharp images are now a dime a dozen. Lens designs are squeezed for every last ounce of sharpness, and where that's not enough, AI filters — especially on smartphones — intervene during the storage process.
It's time for a soft revolution. Not only to stand out from the endless flood of identical images, but also to create more flattering and dreamy images again.
Soft-focus images should not be confused with blurred images. They are not blurred, (intentionally or accidentally) incorrectly focused images, but sharp images with a layer of blur superimposed on them. That's why they don't look “flawed,” but dreamy and romantic.

Our lakes are not completely free of ice yet in Kawartha Lakes. This Common Loon was swimming in the open water of the Trent Canal at Rosedale, where the faster flow has kept the water open. Its mate was at the edge of the ice in the lake and they were calling to each other....a sure sign of Spring.

Der originale Drehort von Peter Jacksons Verfilmung aus dem Jahr 2001 ist natürlich nicht auf Teneriffa zu finden, sondern im 'Mount Victoria Town Belt' von Wellington, einem ausgedehnten Stadtwald nahe dem Zentrum der neuseeländischen Kapitale.

Der Wald-- gemeint das jetzige "Vogelwäldchen"am Randes des
Wildmeisterdammes war ein großes Jagdgebiet bis 1945
Verkommt immer mehr zum Abenteuerspielplatz für Turis.
Dazu spricht das Denkmal auch den Besucher emotional nicht an - dass es auch anders geht zeigt eindrucksvoll das Denkmal für die Sinti und Roma unweit des Reichstages.
Ein Holcaust-Denkmal ist wichtig und notwendig.
Dieses Denkmal finde ich jedoch misslungen. Es hat keine Würde. Und wenn es etwas gibt auf das Worte wie "klotzig" und "hingeklotzt" zutreffen, dann ist es dieses Betonklotzlabyrinth. Der Entwerfer kannte wohl das deutsche Wort "Klotz" nicht.
Mag sein, wenn man es - da es ja bereits überall zerfällt - dem natürlichen Zerfall überlassen würde und wenn sich Birken darin ansiedeln würden, dass es dann irgendwann ein Ort der Besinnung und des Gedenkens werden könnte. So ist es einfach nur häßlich und kalt und Beton.

Some people think of Common Loons (Gavia immer) as being quite solitary and elusive. In addition to be devoted partners to their territorial lake for breeding, researchers are finding that many loons “lake hop” to nearby lakes and “socialize” with others. The breeding pair will defend their chicks and territory but sometimes will deliberately engage others in beak-dipping; swimming in tight circles, diving, and other posturing. This close-swimming group is four of five I watched interact for over an hour before sunset on the WIllow Flowage in Oneida County, Wisconsin on July 9, 2016.

A l'étang aux Cerises il y avait une petite famille, deux bébés, par contre trop de vent pour la photo, et après quatre heures passer sur le lac Stukely, j'en avais assez, un autre fois les bébés lolllll
Immer wieder gern von mir fotografiert werden die Züge von FLIXTRAIN. Am 09. Juli 2023 begegnete mir bei Hermannspiegel im osthessischen Haunetal die 182 522 mit dem FLX 1241 von Berlin nach Stuttgart. Diese Verbindung wird inzwischen gut angenommen, es verkehren an den meisten Tagen sogar zwei Zugpaare.
Over and over again, I like to photograph the trains of FLIXTRAIN. On 09 July 2023, I encountered the 182 522 with the FLX 1241 from Berlin to Stuttgart at Hermannspiegel in Haunetal in eastern Hesse. This connection is now well accepted, there are even two pairs of trains on most days.
