...I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
thy angels watch me through the night,
And keep me safe till morning's light.
Composite of clouds as seen from my window seat in-flight across the US and my daughter sleeping on the couch
She wants me to come over
I can tell her eyes don't lie
She's calling me in the dark
She moves, I swear the room around her lights up like the sky
Confidence like a rock star
I wanna put my hands on her hands
Feel the heat from her skin
Get reckless in the starlight
I'm moving to the beat of her heart
I was so lost until tonight, tonight
I found you, in the darkest hour
I found you, in the pouring rain
I found you, when I was on my knees
And your light brought me back again
Found you in the river of pure emotion
I found you, my only truth
I found you with the music playing
I was lost 'til I found you, you, you
'Til I found you, you, you
The night is getting older
And I can't come off this high
I don't want this here to end
I know she feels the same
Cause I can see it in her eyes
She says, "Can we start again?"
I wanna put my hands on her hands
Feel the heat from her skin
Get reckless in the starlight
She's moving to the beat of my heart
We were so lost until tonight, tonight
I swear, when I started on her face I had no idea I would end up making her look like Andreja's custom! (you should go check her out if you haven't already)

I really liked the IT University buildings by Henning Larsen Architects, and I can imagine it's a great place to study. I think it's fair to say Architecture like this is quite hard to photograph with all it's refined detailing, limited colour palette etc, it's so much easier to photograph something 'showier' by say Gehry or Libeskind.
I was lonly walking through the darkness
I was in sadness Suddenly
You came and took me to the madness
You light up my ways, Everything's changed
Everything's become so bright, But not too long Suddenly
You've hurt my feeling badly
You 've gone and left me so cold
Asking my self why?
Even you haven't said goodbye, I'm lonely again cause of you.

"I Am Not Yours"
I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love -- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.

I ♥ Pakistani TrucksI have always wanted to travel in one of those Pakistani Trucks. and I actually had a small ride on this truck in the Chillum Valley, Northern Areas of Pakistan back in May 2009. I still aim to travel in one of those one day, all along from Karachi to Khyber, and From G.T. Road to the Highest Mountains in the Northern Areas :)The Trucks are full of colorful artwork, heart touching poetry and symmetrical figures all over it. The best part is the interior one, where the driver spends his whole life inside.I have always wanted to travel in one of those Colorful Pakistani Trucks. and I actually had a small ride on this truck in the Chillum Valley, Northern Areas of Pakistan back in May 2009. I posted these two out of order, the black and white should be first cause it was the before, and this is the after.
Cheering up and such.
OH lord, the light from that window, good GOD.
I was like PICTURE TIME!
Carolina had to watch me take a couple while she was still on webcam :)
Hence the slight smirk.
I really love this picture.
How it separates me.
It symbolizes my torn feelings right now.
Sad or happy?
Sad or happy?
I need to choose, this battling thing isn't working.

Ryan, you are my lover.
I adored your letter, immensely.
I will tell you later, but I just wanted everyone to know that you are perfect.

Sorry for my absense. I'm still alive. A lot had happened in a short period in my personal life. Will tell you later all about it when I'm ready;) Just wanted to let you know mainly because there's many girls still here waiting for their turn. I will work on them once I get my energy back. But for now I can barely stand up after work. I'm so tired.... Please understand. Hugs!
I went to the neighborhood dying mall - the once booming and much loved Lloyd Center - on an errand today. Having accomplished what I set out to do, I tried to find the location of the Orange Julius store. It recently closed after 42 years. Sigh. It was nowhere to be found.
When I tried to leave the way I came, I found that the down escalators were inoperative and blocked. Thinking I might find a working escalator, I headed towards the east end of the building.
What I found there instead was much better than an escalator. There, in one of pop-up stores that live in the mall like shepherds in the ruins of a classical temple, I spied a trunk and a trunk lady, On closer inspection she turned out to be a trunk girl.
The woman I spoke to there was more than happy to let me me photograph it when I explained I collect examples of this genre of decorative arts. The trunk was her grandmother's. Given her youth, I imagine that her grandmother's mother or grandmother was the original owner.
I have discovered that in the late 19th century, it was customary for the owners of camel-back trunks to affix brightly colored lithographs of girls or young women to the underside of the lid. She is always framed by a border filled with popular decorative motifs of the day. I have yet to find the name of the printer or artist on one.
I finally left by means of the suspended circular stairway that was installed during the last refurbishment some time ago, when they inexplicably decided to shrink the mall's last remaining big draw, the skating rink.
Into my "Trunk People" album she goes!
Supplemental Caption:
This vivid interior lid print is most likely a chromolithograph, a color printing process popular from the mid-19th to early 20th centuries. Unlike later halftone or offset methods, chromolithography relied on separate stones or plates for each color, meticulously aligned to build up a rich, layered image. The absence of mechanical dot patterns and the presence of soft tonal transitions suggest it was produced using this labor-intensive technique. Decorative prints such as this—often sentimental portrayals of idealized childhood—were commonly affixed inside camel-back and dome-top trunks, elevating the trunk’s interior from mere utility to domestic charm. While mass-produced, such images required significant skill in both design and execution, and were sometimes enhanced by hand-stenciling or tinting, particularly in facial features and borders. The result was a product that, even when inexpensive, bore the mark of care and craft.
