A short hyperlapse and timelapse from my Pinatubo tour last weekend.

I tried to do a time lapse, but it didn't really work out - too windy. And then I tried to use that trendy new hyperlapse app, but it crops the photo significantly so didn't work out so well either.

First attempt at using Instagrams Hyperlapse app.

This is part of my drive to work every day and can be truly stunning, always good for a commute.

The video ends at the South Gate in King's Lynn. The South Gate is one of the oldest brick built structures in Britain, constructed in the 14th century.

The Old Mill District formerly housed two competing lumber mills. In 1916 the Shevlin-Hixon Lumber Company built a mill on the west bank of the Deschutes River and Brooks-Scanlon Lumber Company built the "Mill A" complex on the east bank. At their peak, the companies were two of the largest pine sawmills in the world, running around the clock, employing more than 2,000 workers each and turning out more than 500 million board feet of lumber a year.

They were warned for years, starting in 1937, to develop sustainable forestry practices, but the warnings were ignored. By 1950, the forests' depletion led to the decline of Oregon's logging industry. In 1950, Brooks-Scanlon bought the Shevlin-Hixon and shut it down a few months later.

Shevlin-Hixon kept Mill A open until 1983 and Mill B until 1993.

Bill Smith bought the property in 1993. He was smart enough to maintain elements of the mill. The smokestacks and eight other buildings remained, adding to the charm of it.

Now it’s a bustling shopping district and, in many ways, a symbol of Bend’s resilience.

Antwerp is a city in Flanders, Belgium. It consists of 9 districts and has about 521.000 citizens as of january 2013.

I shot approximately 3000 photographs in my beautiful hometown with my Canon 600D in november 2012 using the hyperlapse technique, where you take a small step between every photo to create big continuus movements.

The photos are stabilised and combined in After Effects or similar software to make videofiles.

These videofiles were edited in Sydney, Australia one year after shooting.

The track is called 'Antwarpe' by De Strangers, many people (including myself) say it's the "official" Antwerp Anthem.

15th November 2014.

Inspired by a youtube video from DigitalRev, I attempted my first hyperlapse photos. Though there is much to consider when doing these, they're a lot of fun and rewarding when they work. The three that I've uploaded are all handheld. (though I had my monopod with me, I don't have feet for it so I couldn't use it)

I've not uploaded video to FlickR before, I'm not sure if the files that have been uploaded are too large. I'd appreciate any feedback.

My first attempt at DSLR Hyperlapse Film Making.

Finally got past Tom, and nearly passed Alec and Brendan. Too bad Hyperlapse came out the next day!

Flying out of Bella Coola, British Columbia. On our way to a great ski adventure in the backcountry.
