Transwestern hosts an annual conference to recognize its top producers. This year's conference was held at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California.
To close out the conference, all attendees are invited to a Come-As-You-Are Party. This year's party was, appropriately, beach themed. This year's party was also the first appearance of a Transwestern band, made up of our own team members.

Sembla que l'edifici primitiu fou bastit el 1897 per Josep Elias i Peix, per tal de moldre guix i ciment. El 1936 Antoni Riba i Piqué hi instal·là alguns telers, però l'inici de la guerra civil de 1936-1939 impedí la seva posada en funcionament. El 1945 Josep Ballús i Cots reactivà la mòlta de ciment i, el mateix any, mossèn Josep Viladot i Sala començà a produir-hi energia elèctrica. Aleshores es passà a denominar Molí de l'Estret. El 1949 es paral·litzà la producció de fluïd elèctric, que alimentava els xalets de la baga de Queralt, i es reconstruí completament, batejant-se amb el nom d'Hostal del Guiu. Fins a 1965 es va autoproveir de llum.
L'edifici actual manté pocs elements originals. És un edifici de planta baixa, on es solapen tres plantes superiors i unes golfes, cobert per una teulada a doble vessant i un sobrealçat decoratiu als flancs de la teulada. Els únics elements singulars són les finestres amb volta de mig punt a la tercera planta. La instal·lació del salt està completament desapareguda, només en queda una petita resclosa, el canal i l'embassament amb el regant.

On Monday, July 4 2011. U.S. Ambassador Dan Rooney and his wife Mrs Patricia Rooney hosted an Irish American Flag Football Classic at their Residence in the Phoenix Park in Dublin. Over 2000 guests were in attendance the Independence Day celebrations. Team rosters for the game included embassy diplomats and Marines, local Gaelic football, rugby and soccer players. Croke Park constructed an American Football field which included bleachers, American football posts and giant television screens for live coverage and play-backs..The two teams, “The Phoenix Park Pirates” coached by Eddie Goggins and the “Dublin 8s” coached by Dan Rooney (the Ambassador’s son) underwent training before the big game. Spectators were on the edge of their seats, as the two teams battled it out. However, the Phoenix Park Pirates took the title this year. Guests of all ages enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad and coleslaw, as well as red, white and blue cupcakes. The KidsZone was a huge success with face painting, story-telling and science demonstrations and the giant inflatable slide. Everyone enjoyed the authentic American July 4th celebrations..

We enjoyed hosting families and students on campus for the 2019 Admitted Students Day! Families got to take their photo with "Stinger" the Wasp and to hear from a panel of current students. After that we headed out to concurrent sessions with faculty members in STEM, Health and Human Performance and Theatre and met with staff members in Housing and Residence Life, the Inclusion & Dialogue Center, the Ampersand Center and the Powell Resource Center. The USO of North Carolina hosted Heidi Murkoff author of the “What to Expect” book series at a Special Delivery conference at the Fort Bragg Iron Mike center. Heidi also visited with expectant mothers at Womack Army Medical Center, including one mother in labor and delivery.
on my walk back home from our little adventure, these guys were staring me down.. rightfully so i suppose.. i was kinda 'in their space'.
