Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch., Commander, Installation Management Command, will host a flag uncasing ceremony for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Oct. 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Joseph W. Westphal, Under Secretary of the United States Army, will be the guest speaker.
The ceremony represents the presence of the installation management community and the assumption of the command's authority in San Antonio. The installation management community includes the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Headquarters and two major subordinate commands: U.S. Army Environmental Command and the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command.
IMCOM temporarily occupies leased space in northeastern San Antonio until the new IMCOM Headquarters Building on Fort Sam Houston is completed in October 2011.
Uncasing the flag exemplifies how IMCOM, headquartered in "Military City USA," is transforming to make Army installations the Army's Home.

Soldiers, Civilian employees and their Families took a break from their normal, busy work schedules to participate in team building activities and celebrate the recent transition of the IMCOM headquarters to San Antonio, Texas.

We traveled out west in June of 2019 to see the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and a slot canyon in Utah. Such great memories with Akseli from Finland!

Host Willem Lange hikes up Tuckerman Ravine Trail to the Lakes of the Cloud AMC Hut, so named because it is the highest of the presidential huts. The view from the top is breathtaking and only a short hike to the famous hut and a good night’s sleep.

Cynanchum angustifolium, Gulf Coast Swallow-wort, 6/2/2011,Romerly Marsh, Skidaway Island, Savannah, Chatham Co., Ga.
Our “Queen”, Danaus gilippus butterfly, active all year in warmer parts of Florida, strays north along the Southern Eastern seaboard in the summer. Here on the coast of Georgia we normally find it adjacent to our marshes where we find one of its Milkweed ( Asclepiadaceae family) host-plants, Cynanchum angustifolium, Gulf Coast Swallow-wort.
This Cynanchum angustifolium host-plant is a perennial vine, with yellow, white, green flowers in a simple umbel with narrow alternate leaves, often over looked as it twines amongst the Sea Ox-Eye Daisy, Borrichia frutescens, Black Needle Rush, Juncus roemerianus and other plants located adjacent to our marsh edges.
