The earth without 'art' is just 'eh'..
I ADORE colour and texture and fabrics and creating visual explosions.. composition is important, sweeping leading lines, unfamiliar angles, complimentary colour palettes..
There's a lot of artistic work which goes into creating a set - it doesn't just happen by magic, but it always feels super magical when the photos are finished & delivered.
Ever had days where your head is so full of stuff, pondering ideas and possibilities for the future, that you don't get anything done at all?
Planning is just as important as doing, but if you're never coming to any conclusions or making any decisions, instead only thinking about the potential then nothing will get done.
I am the kind of personality who often ends up with a million & one things floating around in my head at once and can easily get overwhelmed if I don't recognise when it happens.
Pick one thing at a time to concentrate on and force yourself to see it through to completion before you move on, even if it's the only thing you work on that day.
It's such a tough self-motivation exercise when you perhaps work from home, and your boss is your brain getting distracted from all directions - but it's also a game changer in productivity.

This is so simple and delicious "Honigkuchen" (a spiced honey bread with almonds and candid orange). In the rhine region of Germany and in the Netherlands this is also a typical breakfast bread throughout the year.

Before the sun came down from the heavy clouds, the rays spread out like Buddha's rays over the Mt. Kuanyin.

The weather of yesterday was quite special and changed at a high speed. I met rainbow, beautiful sunset, cloud fire, after glow and thunder in an hour at the top of Mt. Datun. That really a great diversity of climate phenomena to shoot at one time.

Awesome view of downtown San Francisco with main attractions, including: the Transamerica Pyramid in center, flanked by Alcatraz Island and Coit Tower to the right and Golden Gate Bridge to the left! The weather was great that early evening and fog didn't step in until much later.
** Many landmarks were especially lit up in Orange to support the San Francisco Giants baseball team, which were in the World Series at that time~ and went on to eventually win! **

This is one of the typical dark rye bread you can get in Germany in almost any bakery. This one is called "Hollsteiner Brot" (named after a northern region in Germany) and has a wonderful malty flavor. Best with just a bit of butter and salt when it comes fresh out of the oven.
Arguably the best angle in all of Parry Sound, one can view the entire town and miles surrounding from atop the old fire tower, now observation tower. Growing up seeing photographs of Canadian Pacific passenger and freight trains crossing this magnificent bridge in various Canadian railroading books I have always wanted to capture a photo of my own from this location. Although Canadian Pacific no longer runs the trains similar to those captured in Greg McDonnell's book 'Stand Fast, Craigellachie!', for instance, and southbound trains no longer run over this bridge (because of a Directional Running agreement), one can still occasionally get lucky if either CN or CP runs a lengthy train requiring DPU assistance. This is exactly what occurred in this photo, on a crisp July morning, a huge difference compared to the hot and hazy weather days prior. CN Q103 is seen soaring high above town with a hotshot stack train for the west coast, leading the train nearly a mile away is CN 8896, in the middle 2114 was shoving hard and doing the honours on the rear was IC 2698.
