Photographing a sunrise scene of Firenze is lot easier than photographing sunset. The reason, of course, is no crowd. You can have this spectacular view to yourself (although, occasionally, you may have to work out with wedding photographers).

There are some good spots to see sunsets in Firenze. View from Ponte S. Trinita is one of my favorites.
Tilt-Shift photography or miniature faking is a technique where a scene manipulated to give an optical illusion of a miniature scale model. Altering the focus of the photography in PP simulates the shallow depth of field normally encountered with macro lenses making the scene seem much smaller than it actually is.
I took this photo a while ago from a hotel room in Riyadh (KSA), the high angle made it a good TS candidate. Just let me know what you think :)

I've always wanted to take photos from the air and today I got to ride in a helicopter for the first time thanks to the folks at American Helicopter who provided my family with a courtesy tour. Our short flight over Manassas, Virginia was completed by a pass over of Norfolk Southern's yard in town.
Autumn has been in town and the temperature drops rapidly. Though the sunset was not that good as I expected, still want to share with you of the beautiful Chinese Silvergrass field.

It was the official ending of summer yesterday since it was Bailu of solar term. The temperature starts to drop. I went to Mt. Datun yesterday and the temperature was around 20 degree. Really chilled. The fog was coming and going very fast while the sunset glowing at peak. This might be the best I got last night.

Taipei has been cloudy and rainy for several days and we finally had a beautiful sunset today. I visited this shooting spot again to get a great view of Taipei 101.

I went to this shooting spot last Friday and have been suffered from the hiking of having sore legs. I need to work out harder to go back there.

The sky is hazy around sunset time in autumn since the humidity will become higher as the temperature drops without sun light. Thus the sunset scene is kind of hazy too. I do love the light colors in autumn after hot summer season.

I visited Miaoli this weekend with 3 family members. This shooting spot is famous for its fog at sunset time. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay there that late and just grasped several shots with day light.

It is so sad that Typhoon #7 has caused big damage in Japan. Meanwhile typhoon #8 is coming to Taiwan and Taipei will be the major suffering area. However, before the storm, the sunset is so brilliant as usual. A gift before bad thing?

I visited this high angle shooting spot again with my wide angle lens. Fortunately, I got a beautiful cloudy and foggy sunset with Taipei 101. However, the fog was getting more hazy as sun set. The night scene was not that good.

There is a typhoon coming toward our southern part. Taipei got its benefit and had clear, sunny and beautiful sunset this evening. The after glow was a marvelous one. I visited this shooting spot for the fist time and got a great view of the sunset glow.

I have been thinking of shooting the sea of clouds in Yangmingshan National Park for a couple of months. I finally made it yesterday when we had a short break from rain. Unfortunately, it did not last until the sun set. But still great enough to be the first shot I share in 2013~
