Everything is connected , and has a sense . Although this meaning is hidden from most , we know that we on Earth are our true mission close if we do is permeated by the power of enthusiasm .

Not very inspired today.Have to take Bronte` to the dentist today to get 4 teeth pulled in prep for braces. I hate going to the dentist ( along with the rest of the known world) and taking my kids there feels sadistic...ugh.{ 39/365}

Now winter has arrived in Germany. Less with snow but with cold. I pull my collar up and tie my scarf tighter .... and enjoy this mood.... like a natural still life
The beauty of this time of year is the sight of these spectacular creatures ending their winter hibernation and filling the woodland glades with colour. Got a very similar photo last year - but it would be rude not to post! Weirdly, I will probably not get another Peacock photo after April when they disperse. Always find the second broods far more difficult...

Been editing bunch of wedding photos and moving my photo library and other stuff from Mac to Linux and Windows. Going to change job so had to empty my work laptop completely. It will be really fun to start in a new company for a change ^____^
Frisco 1630, the 2-10-0 steam locomotive that serves as Illinois Railway Museum's primary steam locomotive, is getting drained on this day in October 2018. This is the first step in winterizing the locomotive for the long, cold Illinois winters. And 1630 would need ever bit of it, because in a few short months, Illinois would be plunged into record-breaking cold in January 2019.
Hi, Flickr! It's been awhile. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas & a great start to the New Year. I just thought I'd pop on to share one of my favorites from a recent newborn session. This little beauty made her appearance the day after Christmas. She was 8 days old when I had the opportunity to photograph her. Anyway, thanks for looking. Have a great day!
I noticed these on the rock face as I strolled into the picturesque village of Grimentz, Switzerland.
Otis: " Is this gingerbread from LIM`s dreams?"
Odessa: "No, it`s from Exhibition "Gingerbreadmania 2019", but I think Lim would like it!"

Monarch butterflies embark on a marvelous migratory phenomenon. They travel between 2,000 – 5,000 kilometres; their two-month journey is the second longest migration of all known insects. The butterflies travel from Canada south to the United States and hibernate in the forest mountains of Mexico. The butterflies hibernate in Mexico in a moderate climate before they head back North. Adult monarch butterflies possess two pairs of brilliant orange-red wings, featuring black veins and white spots along the edges. Males, who possess distinguishing black dots along the veins of their wings, are slightly bigger than females. Each adult butterfly lives for a maximum of four to six weeks.

I recognize this golden-mantled ground squirrel from last year by the unique markings around his mouth. He has manage to survive the year. He didn't go into hibernation until November last year which is very late. Most of the others are already in. It looks like he will be last to go in this year as well. His internal clock/calendar must be set differently.
After the snowstorm from yesterday, today the sun shines again. A good opportunity to catch some pictures of the newly created environment. :)
Have a great week!
Schleichender Herbst
Langsam schleicht der Herbst ins Land,
schickt Stürme und viel Regen,
Sommerzeit hat er verbannt,
um sein Farbkleid auszulegen.
Gerne mag er Braun und Gelb,
ebenso das fahle Grau,
mit dem Zauberwörtchen "welk"
beendet er die Gartenschau.
Bäume macht er nackt und kahl,
schickt Vögel auf die Reise,
Nebelbänke bis ins Tal
verteilt er still und leise.
Jedes Jahr treibt er dies Spiel,
lässt sich durch nichts vertreiben,
hat vor Augen nur ein Ziel,
bis zum Winter stark zu bleiben .
