On 12 April 2009, stranded in a blizzard at 67o46.483’N, 111o52.191’W, the Northwest Passage Drive Expedition team went into “hibernation” for 40 hours inside the Moon-1 Humvee Rover. The team stayed in periodic contact with Dr Stephen Braham at Simon Fraser University who served as “Capcom” and provided sea-ice remote sensing updates and weather forecasts.

They appear to be in hibernation for the winter.
This is in front of the same building that the fish sculpture in my previous photo is.
The appearance of the sun has brought my road bike out of hibernation :)

Too cold to ride my bike. Plus it's been having some motor problems lately. Couldn't make the closing Rally this year because of it. Over the course of winter the bike gets to rest in a heated garage which is awesome.
I plan to rebuild the whole motor so it's in tippy top shape for next season. No more running into problems and breaking down on the side of the road. And with it being in a heated garage, I get to work on it over the winter.
With this shot I used a technique with the lighting. I feel i'm getting closer and closer to being 100% comfortable with shooting small vehicles, I still need to try my hand on lighting a full sized car, but baby steps right?
Aaargh.
I've found that I'm merely surviving the week, and instead of looking forward to tomorrow I groan to think about it.
Too much, too much, too much...
Wanna go sleep.
[REALLY old shot that never got uploaded]
A not-often-seen view of the world's tallest carousel, "Columbia", all covered up for the winter.
Taken at my first job interview; February 2007.
This Kermodei bear is hibernating a few hundred metres from our neighbours' house under an old tree stump. He's awake enough to track you with his eyes, but he doesn't even move around at all, he's so sleepy. We were very quiet and went in one at a time to take photos.
Many Shuttleworth aircraft will stay hangared for the whole winter. The Hawker Hind K5414 / G-AENP stretches its legs ready for a busy season.
