ALE Heavylift performed a movement of an electrical transformer weighing in at around 230 tonnes from Stella (Blaydon) to Wallsend overnight from 15th August to 16th August. On arrival at Swan Hunters in Wallsend it's to be shipped by barge to Ellesmere Port where it will be put back on the road to be taken to its destination of Oldbury. Seen at the North End of the Tyne Tunnel at East Howdon, the convoy is seen waiting to continue along Hadrian Road to Wallsend. The move was powered by a pair of ALE Trojan 8870 trucks with BX64KSE at the front with BX65OAW powering from the rear.

Boeing N747BC was sitting on the new ramp at Fairbanks International this morning while I was on my way to a meeting. The light was right and the weather was calm, (not raining!) and I couldn't pass her up.
I use to work for Boeing at Flight Test and I can only imagine all the work that the guys put into making this wonderful aircraft She now hauls 787 sections between the contienents to Everett for the finally assembly.
The pond is the only one left surrounding the airport and made for a special shot.
Thanks Boeing!! Miss ya!!
Update: Found out that she was in town due to the ash from the volcano's down on the Aluetien chain.

The "Jumbo Kinetec" is a conventional heavy lift vessel but in its class, it presently has the the largest lifting capacity in the world.
The vessel was built in Croatia and then sailed to China to have the two Huisman cranes installed.
When you have a (combined) lifting capacity of 3000 tons, the spreader bar has to be o similar capacity.
The vessel is in Antwerp to load powerplant equipment and is seen here at a lay by berth at the ABES Terminal at the 5th Haven dock preparing for the cargo.
It came in from Rostock where it loaded two Liebherr port cranes destined for India.
Main road through Thurso had no parking bollards along part of it, also thought I heard a truck go past the house early this morning, hence not surprised to find this at Scrabster.

STANISLAV YUDIN gezien in verschillende weersomstandigheden vanaf de wal en de RVE 3 . Het kraanschip verhaalde van de Europahaven naar de Wiltonhaven in Schiedam.

XR362 Shorts Belfast C1 - belonging to 53 squadron. When demobbed, it became G-BEPE of HeavyLift at Southend. When Heavylift ceased trading 'Papa Echo' fell in to a somewhat state of dis-repair. It got a repreive in 2007 when it was decided that HeavyLift in Australia would use it. It got as far as 3 engines being installed, & run, to ready this for airworthy status. it was then deemed far to expensive, with the decision not to proceed. The incoming Southend Airport Manager ordered her for scrapping in 2008.
