This 9-axle beast is the Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 , the worlds strongest, biggest and most heavy telescopic crane truck in the world and it's owned by Mammoet. It's able to lift 1200 tons!

 

It's actually so large and heavy, with a weight of 96 tons! that the boom will be transported in 2 seperate parts!

 

Mammoet was the first company to introduce the LTM 11200-9.1 at work. It actually did it's first job at the same place as where it has now returned.

Keel laid on 05/06/1943, launched on 22/11/1943, and completed on 21/02/1944, as an aircraft carrier, ship design Type C3-S-A1, by Seattle-Tacoma Shipbuilding Corporation, Tacoma, Washington, USA (49)

10,200 dwt., launched as:

'Winjah', completed as:

'Reaper', to 1947, and

'South Africa Star' until sold to Japan for demolition.

Arrived at Mihara on 25/05/1967.

SPMTs are used for transporting massive objects such as large bridge sections, oil refining equipment, motors and other objects that are too big or heavy for trucks. This remote-controlled SPMT has 96 wheels.
