I was in the car with my girlfriend on our way back from church, and we were driving straight into this beautiful sunset and the way light shoots from the clouds seemed really heavenly, which we shared an ironic laugh to since we were just at church. I didn't have my camera on me so I took the picture with my phone, but I still love the photo regardless of quality.
A 20 minute ride down the mountain on the Heavenly Cable Cars. In the background is lake tahoe. Amazing views.
Another one using the little girl with the basket of purple and blue flowers. This time I hand-dyed the lace near the bottom of the picture with pastel sludgy green/mauve colours. There are some genuine vintage narrow laces in this bag to compliment the purples.

I've often wondered if there's
Ever been a perfect family
I've always longed for undividedness
And sought stability
A flower taught me how to pray
But as I grew, that flower changed
She started flailing in the wind
Like golden petals scattering
CHORUS 1:
And I miss you dandelion
And even love you
And I wish there was a way
For me to trust you
But it hurts me every time
I try to touch you
But I miss you dandelion
And even love you
I gravitated towards a patriarch
So young predictably
I was resigned to spend my life
Within a maze of misery
A boy and girl befriended me
We're bonded through despondency
I stayed so long but finally
I fled to save my sanity
CHORUS 2:
And I miss you little sis and
Little brother
And I hope you realize
I'll always love you
And although you're struggling
You will recover
And I miss you little sis and
Little brother
So many I considered
Closest to me
Turned on a dime and sold me
Out dutifully
Although that knife was chipping
Away at me
They turned their eyes away and
Went home to sleep ...
CHORUS 3:
And I missed a lot of life
But I'll recover
Though I know you really like
To see me suffer
Still I wish that you and I'd
Forgive each other
'Cause I miss you, Valentine
And really loved you
I really loved you -
I tried so hard
But you drove me away
To preserve my sanity -
And I found the strength to break away

There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not.

Nandina domestica( Berberidaceae, the barberry family, along with Berberis and Mahonia) This shrub was a very tiny ball of branches ten years ago. It has grown a lot while enjoying the sunshine along my parents sidewalk in Brunswick County, Calabash, North Carolina. 1-23-09
I stopped in the heavenly cupcake shop to pick up a treat for dora and me. The cupcakes were delicious and these were the two that we had. On the left is a red velvet with real cream cheese frosting and on the right is a coconut hay stack. Every morning they make their cupcakes from scratch. Delicious!
Reblooming Dwarf Lilac (Syringa 'Josee').
Lilac blossoms in August? It could happen with this reblooming wonder! Josee is a dwarf Lilac with a flower-happy nature that just doesn't quit. Very resistant to mildew, it thrives even in the sultry climates of zone 8, and farther north it reliably sets blooms all summer and fall, long after most Lilacs have given it up for the year!
The most brilliant display is in late spring and early summer, when this little 4- to 6-foot-tall tree just erupts into pinkish-lavender blossom. The fragrance is heavenly, as hundreds upon thousands of tiny tube-shaped blossoms, grouped into showy 3- to 4-inch clusters, release the scent that means "springtime" to many lucky gardeners! Cut all you want for the house, and deadhead the rest promptly, which will give Josee the signal that you're ready for some reblooms, please! She won't disappoint you, setting flowers even when other trees around her are getting their fall foliage color!
Josee's dwarf size also means that you can grow her in a container on the urban balcony, pint-sized deck, or smallest garden. Give her full sun and enriched, well-drained soil, keep her adequately watered during dry spells, and this tiny Lilac will repay you with more blossoms than you could have dreamed of! She spreads 5 to 6 feet wide, making a showstopping fragrant hedge, accent planting, or specimen in any sunny spot.
Lilacs do not fare well in the short, warm, moist spring weather of the deep south, but Josee outshines most others, blooming reliably through zone 8. You probably won't get summer reblooms in hot climates, but she may have a surprise for you in the cooler fall months! Superbly mildew-resistant, this is one of the few Lilacs that can withstand the warm, moist nights of southern and midwestern climates. ~ Wayside Gardens
So far we have seen only a few blossoms after the initial spring blooming. Hopefully things will be different now that the shrub is six years old.
My morning glorys have not performed well this year and finally in September, I have a few Heavenly Blue morning glories blooming. They are so beautiful and I love to see them in my garden.

Atreyu - Slow Burn
www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8kfyZNx-pU
It begins with a dark glowing ember
Something black burning its way out of me
Searing the flesh
Pain is the only thing I feel
Scars all I see
Oh no the fires burning my insides again
What can I do to silence my desire tonight
Flames consuming reason
Leaving only ashes left
You will catch me regretting my decision
I can't keep telling myself what I want to hear
I can't just close my eyes
I know that
It's killing me
And it’s poisoning the best in me
What I see I don’t want to believe
So let me tell you more
About the lies I lead
This is how I’ve chosen to douse the flames
Broken teeth replace blackout memories
Wreckage from the past haunts me, shakes me to the bone
I know its over but I can’t go home tonight
But after this I feel as empty as before
Feel the pain and yet I’m still begging for more
Masochistic nihilistic urging backward thought
My life’s a mess and I cant find a way to fix it
I know that
It's killing me
And it’s poisoning the best in me
What I see I don’t want to believe
So let me tell you more
About the lies I lead
Calling calling out
The darkest reaches of my soul are riddled with self doubt
Crawling crawling out
My will to fight will more than suffice when others would lay down.
It’s only as dark as you make it
I know that
It's killing me
And it’s poisoning the best in me
What I see I don’t want to believe
So let me tell you more
About the lies I lead
