Although there is now hope, embers of sadness still glow.
Something hasn't quite flown.
But I know you're there to catch me now.
All eternal things, the moon, the sea, the turning leaves, speak to something within.
And you, ease the longing too.
My reason. My sunlight. My lifeline.
All eternal things and you, how this frightened heart they soothe.
You and the seasons will pull me through.
Will calm and comfort, and always be beautiful.
You and the seasons will pull me through.
I know you won't let go of the string.
I know you won't let this kite be taken by the wind.
All eternal things and you, how this frightened heart they soothe.
You and the seasons will pull me through.
Will calm and comfort, and always be beautiful.
You and the seasons will pull me through.

Heavenly is a mountain on the south end of Lake Tahoe. The Heavenly Flyer is a zip line that runs down the side of the mountain.
The Flyer on the very peak of Heavenly. It covers about 500 vertical feet, and takes over 80 seconds from start to finish. Riders reach speeds up to 50mph.
Reblooming Dwarf Lilac (Syringa 'Josee').
Lilac blossoms in August? It could happen with this reblooming wonder! Josee is a dwarf Lilac with a flower-happy nature that just doesn't quit. Very resistant to mildew, it thrives even in the sultry climates of zone 8, and farther north it reliably sets blooms all summer and fall, long after most Lilacs have given it up for the year!
The most brilliant display is in late spring and early summer, when this little 4- to 6-foot-tall tree just erupts into pinkish-lavender blossom. The fragrance is heavenly, as hundreds upon thousands of tiny tube-shaped blossoms, grouped into showy 3- to 4-inch clusters, release the scent that means "springtime" to many lucky gardeners! Cut all you want for the house, and deadhead the rest promptly, which will give Josee the signal that you're ready for some reblooms, please! She won't disappoint you, setting flowers even when other trees around her are getting their fall foliage color!
Josee's dwarf size also means that you can grow her in a container on the urban balcony, pint-sized deck, or smallest garden. Give her full sun and enriched, well-drained soil, keep her adequately watered during dry spells, and this tiny Lilac will repay you with more blossoms than you could have dreamed of! She spreads 5 to 6 feet wide, making a showstopping fragrant hedge, accent planting, or specimen in any sunny spot.
Lilacs do not fare well in the short, warm, moist spring weather of the deep south, but Josee outshines most others, blooming reliably through zone 8. You probably won't get summer reblooms in hot climates, but she may have a surprise for you in the cooler fall months! Superbly mildew-resistant, this is one of the few Lilacs that can withstand the warm, moist nights of southern and midwestern climates. ~ Wayside Gardens
So far we have seen only a few blossoms after the initial spring blooming. Hopefully things will be different now that the shrub is six years old.

I collect Madame Alexander dolls. I have this doll I received for one of my milestone b-days. She is displayed in my display case year round but for christmas she goes on top of the tree becase she is a tree topper! My mom gave me my childhood ornaments when I moved to Austin. My favorite is my Xmas ornament from first grade. That is the last ornament that goes on the tree every year.
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes.'
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
I know it is a “no no” taking photos against the sun but I really like doing it :D It is just that there is nothing else that looks as good as the sun rays when taking a flowers shot :)
As soon as I previewed this capture on my camera I remembered a favourite hymn called “Heavenly Sunlight”. Here is the lyrics:
Walking in sunlight all of my journey;
Over the mountains, through the deep vale;
Jesus has said, “I’ll never forsake thee,”
Promise divine that never can fail.
Refrain
Heavenly sunlight, heavenly sunlight,
Flooding my soul with glory divine:
Hallelujah, I am rejoicing,
Singing His praises, Jesus is mine.
Shadows around me, shadows above me,
Never conceal my Savior and Guide;
He is the Light, in Him is no darkness;
Ever I’m walking close to His side.
Refrain
In the bright sunlight, ever rejoicing,
Pressing my way to mansions above;
Singing His praises gladly I’m walking,
Walking in sunlight, sunlight of love.
Refrain

* Heal The World * ~ song lyrics by Michael Jackson
www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWf-eARnf6U
spoken:
Think about the generations and to say we want to make it a better
world for our children and our children's children. So that they know
it's a better world for them; and think if they can make it a better
place.
There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much
Brighter than tomorrow.
And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place you'll feel
There's no hurt or sorrow.
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space, make a better place.
Chorus:
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and for me.
If you want to know why
There's a love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares for joyful giving.
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear or dread
We stop existing and start living
Then it feels that always
Love's enough for us growing
Make a better world, make a better world.
Chorus:
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race.
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and for me.
Bridge:
And the dream we would conceived in
Will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in
Will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life
Wound this earth, crucify it's soul
Though it's plain to see, this world is heavenly
Be God's glow.
We could fly so high
Let our spirits never die
In my heart I feel
You are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
Together we'll cry happy tears
See the nations turn
Their swords into plowshares
We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
Make a little space to make a better place.
Chorus:
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and for me.
Refrain (2x)
There are people dying if you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me.
There are people dying if you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me.
You and for me / Make a better place
You and for me / Make a better place
You and for me / Make a better place
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children

"We have and old saying,
Everything living must die. Only the rocks and mountains are forever."
~Archie Fire Lame Deer, LAKOTA
The Creator designed all life to
happen in a circle. For example, the cycle of life for the human being
is Baby, Youth, Adult, Elder, then we die. The trees and the leaves
happen in a circle; the leaves bud, then the leaves mature, next the
leaves change color and at last they fall off the tree to return to the
Mother Earth. The birds bear their young, raise their young, then they
die. The salmon are born, swim to the ocean, live their lives, swim back
to the spawning grounds, then die. All aspects of the Life Cycle should
be honored.
Great Spirit, today, let me enjoy today.
