Tetraploid 51" Mid Lateseason Dormant emo fr 9" 6-7 way branching 28-38 buds. Fertile both ways, but difficult pod.Bud builder,( better than a rebloomer).Extra large Bloom, Very Good rust resistance. Northern and Southern Hardy.Grows anywhere!
Gossard: My favorite overall introduction of all my introductions. Nicknamed "BEST RED" in the garden. HEAVENLY UNITED WE STAND has 9" sun fast blood red flowers with a nice green throat. It has the total package, excellent color, bud count, branching, cold hardy genes, large flower size, height, blue green foliage, Bud builder, dormancy, and super plant habit. Not a single trait that needs improved on except maybe a flower size of 14". This is best daylily I have introduced. It grows super good in zones 3 to 10. It remains blooming when few or if any dayliles are in bloom. It blooms into mid Sept for me, it will set pods, but only on last two blooms. I have seen blooms go to Oct 4th. Has 2015 stout metal winner , Websters Pink Wonder as one of parents. Won the 2017 STOUT SILVER MEDAL WINNER, highest award possible in daylilies.
2020 notes: Planted 3 years ago. 4 feet tall, scapes are 0.33 inches in diameter. Flowers are 8 inches across. Very strong grower.

an oldie, taken last spring.
I dont usually use the term heavenly light, but thats how this light felt to me. Heavenly and serene. As if there was nothing else beyond the horizon, only something that can't be seen but can only be felt.
Nanga Parbat (8125m) is the second-highest peak in Pakistan after K2 and the ninth-highest in the world. In the local dialect it is called Diva-Meru, which means "Heavenly Peak."
this was a shoot for a friend who is a excellent guitar luthier/tech and wanted some photo's for his portfolio.

Hemerocallis 'Heavenly Masquerade' 7/2022 Daylily E1- (Gossard, 2005) Semi-Tall Maroon Daylily , Mature plant size: 32in., 7in. Maroon with dark maroon purple eye above grass green throat. , USDA Hardiness Zone 4, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW27, In Garden Bed E1 for 33 MONTHS (NGA). Planted in 2019.
ADS: Heavenly Masquerade (Gossard, 2005)
height 32 in.(81 cm), bloom 7 in.(18 cm), season M, Dormant, Tetraploid, 16 buds, 3 branches, Unusual Form Crispate, Maroon with dark maroon purple eye above grass green throat. (Moonlit Masquerade × Tet. Green Widow)
Heavenly Gardens: Unusual form crispate with a vivid green throat and dark purple eye. Green throat is very intense and holds all day long. A very rare dormant plant habit, since both parents are evergreen. Heavenly Masquerade has a much bolder eye and larger flower size than Heavenly Ginger Snap. Brings new dormant genetics into the unusual forms. Fertile both ways. Great kids!
2020 Notes: Planted in 2019. 296 days later, scapes (2) are 18 inches tall with a diameter of 0.25 inches. Bloom is at 8 inches and overwhelms the immature clump size. I would describe the flower as a dirty cream color (maroon tint) with a dark maroon eye and a yellow green throat. If the registration description did not include a photo, I would have been hard pressed to confirm its ID. Nonetheless, it is quite attractive.

A view of Heavenly ski resort while being on lake Tahoe. The thin line going up the middle is the Gondola and the two large lines on the right are a couple double black diamond runs making the face. I can't wait for some more snow.

"Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again to where they were. The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood and so it is everything where power moves." --Black Elk (Hehaka sapa), OGLALA SIOUX
In these modern times it is difficult to understand why we should think circles and seasons. People and society are always moving,
through distance, over yonder, going here and going there - hurry up,
grow up, be successful, climb the ladder of success, etc. The Elders
tell us to slow down, to be patient, pray and think circles. Circle
thinking applies to relationships, business and every area of our lives. We need to teach our awareness to look for seasons and cycles. My Creator, teach me the seasons of growth.

My camera (Oly sp-550 uz) isn't usually that good at handling night exposures/shots, but the show these guys were putting on in the sky was so tempting. So I HAD to take a picture :D Glad I did!
The two "stars" are Jupiter and Venus shining in all their glory. Tomorrow , the moon will be right next to them. Don't miss it, after sunset.
The mountain is actually quite far from most base areas I have stayed at. The Gondola takes you to the bottom of the lifts you need to ride to actually snowboard.

Pink it's my new obsession
Pink it's not even a question,
Pink on the lips of your lover, 'cause
Pink is the love you discover
Pink as the bing on your cherry
Pink 'cause you are so very
Pink it's the color of passion
'Cause today it just goes with the fashion
Pink it was love at first sight
Pink when I turn out the light, and
Pink gets me high as a kite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
You could be my flamingo
'Coz pink is the new kinda lingo
Pink like a deco umbrella
It's kink - but you don't ever tell her
Pink it was love at first sight, and
Pink when I turn out the light
Pink gets me high as a kite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
I want to be your lover
I wanna wrap you in rubber
As pink as the sheets that we lay on
Pink it's my favorite crayon, yeah
Pink it was love at first sight
Pink when I turn out the light
Pink it's like red but not quite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
