when i was young...i received criticism on my frybread....u have 2 understand ...i was not ur average little native american *navajo* gurl...i played wit da sheep..goats & was not interested in cooking & home making life, like ~all the other young gurls....i wanted 2 dig in the dirt plant..sow...dig & simply do what da men did....*farming* & be with my dad & brother....my female elder's were worried....they commented bout my cultural talent & bread making...but always wit positive criticism...
2day...*every1*....even da elder's say i make da best *frybread* ever!

Where The Journey Begins

The Origin:
The Sakura Kanzan photographs are original images that capture the moment when sunlight shines against the flowers, casting a bright light behind them and evoking a heavenly atmosphere. It was the beginning of the moment to establish the series of flower photographs, which continued to explore the concept of heaven through the direct exposure of sunlight, seizing moments of natural beauty from unique perspectives.
Concept:
The ordinary appreciation of the beauty of the world does not fully reflect our Creator’s love for it. The brightness of heavenly light functions similarly to X-rays that pass through the human body, offering an experience of heaven beyond human imagination to visualise.
The majestic formation of the universe and its light source far exceed our daily needs for life on planet Earth. The beauty of the seasons and their charming colours awaken our ordinary state of living, reminding us of the beauty of the nature that surrounds us.
The combination of natural light and the formation of nature creates a stage beyond mere performance, revealing the translucent quality of floral petals and establishing a near experience of perceiving the world through a heavenly perspective. It also enables human technical invention to capture and reproduce this near experience of viewing the world as a heavenly landscape.
Photographic shape:
This experience explored both vertical and landscape formats to emphasise the most effective way of delivering the artistic message of each photograph. The photographic process found that the vertical format offers the strongest experience of looking towards the light source from a singular focal point or object, creating the sensation of reaching heaven.
Challenges:
This series of photographs challenges both technical photographic conventions and the apparent impossibility of shooting against the light, confronting shadowy darkness in the process. Rather than avoiding heavily overexposed images with visible light sources, it aims to create picturesque experiences that go beyond the ordinary boundaries of photography.
The hours spent forming these photographic images required looking directly at the light source with the naked eye, causing temporary eye discomfort.
This was shot at the Gaganachukki waterfalls in Karnataka. As a result of the release of large quantities of water from KR Sagar, the falls are full and present a heavenly sight.

To track down the church used for the interiors I was able to contact the original location manager from the film who remembered that St.Alphonseus church on London road was used. Many thanks to the church for allowing me access for photographs.

Every human being, to be mentally healthy, must have the feeling of belonging. When we have a sense of belonging we can be intimate. We can feel. We can connect. If we cannot develop this feeling of belonging, then we will feel lost of disconnected. To be disconnected from life is like walking around during the day not knowing the Sun exists. To have the feelings of intimacy is warm, glowy, joyful, loving and connected. Great Spirit, let me be intimate.
All the exterior shots of the chapel were filmed outside St.Mungo's church on Parson street. I had arranged tome to shoot the interior shots but when I got there it seemed the inside was filmed elsewhere.

Heavenly received 12-20 inches of snow in the past 24 hours and it's been snowing off-and-on all day long; hard at times.
Feels like you can almost touch the heavens at this altitude. Rising 9,123 ft above Lake Tahoe is this view deck of Heavenly Ski resort. Gives you breathtaking panoramic views of the lake. Accesed by hair-raising suspended cable cars that jets up and down the slopes.
We had just returned to the hotel to prepare for dinner when I looked out and saw this awesome cloud.
