An old favourite of mine, played this for many many hours over the years! It's a real classic old school computer game, hard disk of course!

I won't be uploading photos for a while; I had a disk crash last Thursday. Everything was backed up (provided I can work out how to extract music from my ipod to my PC!), but my laptop is too slow for photographic work. Processing RAWs is just too painful. You make a tweak, then go away and wait for spring to arrive while the screen refreshes.
My experience of Maxtor disks isn't good. I had another disk crash 2 years ago, and lost a lot of data. This one is the replacement. They have sent me out a warranty replacement disk, but it's coming from Hungary, and being transported by stagecoach. Or at least I assume it is. How else can they justify the ten day delivery time?

All better at last! I was wrong about the stagecoach; Maxtor use trained squirrels to deliver their replacement drives.

There is also a cave in the mountain that is one of the caves to be believed where Seven Sleepers Cave (Ashabul Kahfi) story took place, despite of in one in Amman, Jordan and the other in Turkey.
Yes, there's a lot of classic car in Damascus and not to forget, old bicycle. And the building in between is something related to millitary (I don't remember what). And to be mention, the country have a great focus on military and defence system as it is located in the middle of war countries (Israel, Lebanon and Iraq).

I've been cleaning up some boxes of photos from my mom this weekend. What a lot of work that entails! A lot of thinking happens along the way. I wonder what future generations will think of cleaning up their parents and grandparents digital photos. Or will they consider it at all? Will they just buy another harddisk?
When we made a small LAN-Party (which is always very funny, because most of us dont have a really new computer), we decided just for fun to build an PC out of old parts..
well, it didnt work, because the only old harddisk we had was broken..
then we wanted to turn this computer on fire, but we didnt. so i took it with me. It still lies in my cellar.
A screen dump using early DTP software (PageMaker?) in January 1987. The Apple harddisk had 20Mb of storage space.

Berdasarkan bukti sangat-sangat baru yang orang lain sama sekali belum pernah ada yang lihat dan saya temukan sendiri bukan kopi harddisk dari orang lain apalagi nemu di Internet, telah ditemukan bahwa ternyata hari kemerdekaan Indonesia itu bukan tanggal 17 Agustus tapi BOELAN 9 TAHUN 2604, yang mana artinya bulan September tahun 1944 kan? :D
