Bussturen idag var hård. Chauffören pratade om att vi skulle vara framme senaste klockan 14 men han skulle satsa på 13. När vi kom fram var klockan efter 15 och min mage skrek efter energi.
Vi valde att bo på ett hostel som låg en bit ifrån det som Kiwi Experience rekommenderade. Vår chaufför körde oss som tur var dit, men vi var fortfarande tvungna att gå till affären för att göra vår shopping. Promenaden som vanligtvis hade varit en enkel match var tuff när kistan var tom.
Resten av dagen blev lugn. Jag var seg efter att ha tuggat bussäte hela dagen. Jag styrde lite med min hårddisk och förde över media från Jespers dator. Vi började sedan plöja igenom Jespers musikbibliotek. Vi delar till stor del samma musiksmak men han hade mycket musik som jag inte hört tidigare, och att hitta nya låtar är alltid kul.
Grumble... stupid ebay.
this one is indeed a SATA 2.5 inch external hardisk case, but the connection on the case is a full size USB Standard-A socket, not a USB mini-B socket like most external drives. That means, I need a Standard-A to Standard-A cable. Lucky there was one supplied, but if i break or lose it...

I recently became a hi-fi nut and deceided to save my record collection to a new external harddisk. Problem is i own a lot of records and i want at least a raid 1 system for backup.
Bought one, formated it, only had 3,61GB of free space on it. I hope the folks at amazon take it back because i already found a replacement drive wich will hopefully work (i guess i'll hook it up on friday).
This is an older shot I found on my Harddisk.
Sometimes I make some pictures with my old Leica IIIa just to prove my capacity of suffering.
This shot was taken in the Eversten Holz in Oldenburg.
It was the second attempt to develop a HP5 in Rodinal and the first try with stand development. It will be the last try, too. I think HP5 and Rodinal is not a satisfying combination.

dopo aver aperto l'hard disk per distruggerlo, la sua armonica costruzione mi ha colpito, non ho potuto resistere dal fare alcuni scatti.
I got a bunch of broken harddisks and decided to disassemble them and take some real macro shots.
This is the head from a Maxtor DiamondMax VL40 (30 GB, built 2000).

I love how these portable WD hard disks fit in your hand. This one has around 35GB of hard work on it right now to be transferred to a secondary backup store offsite from the main backup.
So much time invested, so much hard work, all in one hand.

The LaCie magically had flickered back to life for a day or too. Only to then stop working once again. I was able to backup SOME of the critical stuff - but not everything.
It's really starting to look like I'm going to have to fly back to have this fixed. I know Bangladesh has a pretty unstable power grid, but my other big external harddrive (a Western Digital - pictured right) seems to be running just fine on the same setup.
