Bad weather for about two weeks now. Time to check the harddisk for some good shots from August...

Harddisk find - a photo from 2012. My son cut that pumpkin when he was 8... - inside lit by a candle.

I found this photograph on my harddisk, it's almost 17 years old and was shot on a 5MP Bridge-camera (Minolta Dimage A1).

It's the famous view from the "Preikestolen" in norway...

But I assume the view is absolutely identical now, and has been for hundreds of years...

Found on my harddisk. Taken from an old film-scan

A few weeks ago I made this picture of a sunny evening in the polder. Ilpendam, 2016.

Thank you very much for your visits, faves and kind comments.

(I am back after having exchanged the harddisk of my computer).

This Image has been shot originally for a macro mondays theme. If i remember right it was the challenge "sharp and soften". But it never made it. So at the end of the year i usually clean up my harddisk. I stumbeled over this one and in the meantime i thought i add it up to my little world!

Thank you for visits, comments and favs!

I took this image almost a year agon and just stumbeld acroos it this Morning on my harddisk. It shows how nature grows up day by day. Sunbeam guide them to the sky. It amlost seemed that the blossoms wrapped around themselfs on their way up while the blossoms near the ground ar fading out !

Seagate harddisk exposed.

Heimlich still und leise hat diese Platte in meinem Raid den Geist aufgegeben - zum Glück gab es keinen Datenverlust.

Secretly, quietly, this HDD gave up the ghost in my raid - luckily there was no data loss.

Ob die Festplatte nach dem Einsatz der Spezialisten noch läuft scheint mir wenig wahrscheinlich.

A Samsung 960 gigabyte (GB) HDD, bought in 2010 and containing many of my photos. Fortunately, it didn't fail catastrophically and I was able to back up my files before it gave up completely. I have no idea why I still have it, but I dismantled it for this shoot.

Taken with a Helios 44M at f/2 on extension tubes with the front element reversed to give the strange effects from all the bright points in the image.

Post processing: changes to the black and white points to bring up the contrast, slight crop.

N313JS Lockheed Jetstar 731 Seagull Aircraft Corp. - found another shot of this beauty on my harddisk - still the last Jetstar which visited Zurich - hopefully not the last ever..

U-Bahn Marienplatz - another shot that I rediscovered on the harddisk.

I took this photo back in 2008. Found it on my Harddisk during cleaning up my software ;-)

The overall size of the actuator and head is 14mm. The head itself is 4.5 mm.

(slide scan from my collection - not taken by myself, nevertheless it's sad that the tail is clipped - but too nice to leave it sitting on the harddisk for nobody to enjoy).

This is a picture from my first trip to the White Pocket area near Page in Arizona in March 2009. I found it on my harddisk a couple of minutes ago and i hope you'll like it :-)

in n.m, even the concrete is gone now.

Hello Flickr, I am back from my trip around the world and I bring you my first shot of which all of you have hopefully waited for a long time!

I am so happy I had the opportunity to travel and take thousands of photos, meet new and old people and friends. It is such a privilege to be able to do it and I am more than thankful to your support. Without this whole Flickr thing I would possibly not able to do all of this.

I hope I will find enough time to post some of my shots in the months to come and tell you guys some cool stories. So far I wasn’t so sure with which Image from which country I should start but as my Harddisk is now completely full I decided to take a photo which I already transferred to my computer.

So here I start off with a shot from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The shot has been taken in the Blue Hour and turned out quite nice even though there is unbelievable much smog in the air which made the taking of the images quite impossible.

I choose the image because the blue hour is in such a great contrast with the yellow lights.

I hope you like the photo and I am really looking forward to visit your streams in the days to come! Again thank you so much for encouraging me and leaving all your nice wishes on my photos or in a privat message!

I sent love to your guys!

Ben

Found on my harddisk. Taken from an old film-scan

Somewhere on my harddisk there is a file called "Südwesten_USA.doc" (Southwest USA). I wrote down what hotels are the best, the exact route and every stop I wanted to make in that file. According to my computer, that document was created somewhere in 2008. That's how long I had to wait for my "most wanted phototrip" to happen.

I'm home for about 3 days now and started to process all my memories and relive everything while editing the first pictures. Prepare: There'll be a lot :)

Let's start with day one and the famous "Fire Wave" in Valley Of Fire Statepark, Nevada: I had to wait for my beloved companion Timo in Las Vegas for 2 days so I rented a small car and gave it a try. Luck was on my side (and on the side of about 5 to 8 other photographers) so I got a picture of a nice, burning sky and the glowing wave during sunset.
