We didn't find this one on the set of an old sitcom, but we did think the homage to Punky was apt. Please meet, Funky Brewster!
We've been making this style of lamp for nearly seven years and it has always been a favorite.
Here we take a 1960s Universal percolator and add two amber flashing C7 bulbs to the interior to light the glass top, and another in the base to illuminate the old red "coffee is ready" light! We love it!
Next door is an avocado green melmac cup with light brown saucer. Both are attached to a reclaimed antique brass lamp base. A three way rotary switch allow for separate or simultaneous illumination of the components. New cord. All bulbs included. 19"H x 16"W

On May 27 2006, while on a Business Trip to Jupiter, Florida, I visited the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, Florida. While I was there I Photographed Henry Flagler's Private Railcar, the one he rode on January 22, 1912, the First Day of Service on the Florida East Coast Railway's Key West Extension to Key West in the Florida Keys. I also photographed Whitehall, Flagler's Mansion, which is now the Flagler Museum.
DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately the lighting was very uneven in this Room and the Daylight from the Windows blew out the Photograph.

This is the day of the anniversary of the revolution in Egypt, the 25th of Jan, 2012. Thousands and thousands of people got on the streets, not to celebrate, but mainly to protest more. I couldn't believe there'd be so many people; it was truly energetic. I took tons of photos, but the number of people the pictures show is not even close to the reality. However, I felt that it'd be a shame not to upload photos of such greatness. I truly hope things change to the better in the future.

. . . . of Trinity Episcopal Church, Asheville, NC, built 1912. One of the presentations during the North Carolina Preservation Conference in Asheville several weeks ago. Seems a bit incongruous to have all this tech equipment right in front of the altar, but that's the way it's done these days. . . . . at least the building gets used, which I'm in favor of.
