Waddesdon Manor, Oxfordshire.
Visit to Waddesdon Manor (HP18 0JH) in September 2015. Usual National Trust stately home but with some problems for the photographer. Inside light very low (to protect furnishings etc.) and often very yellow. Lot of work to get some reasonable shots to put here.
Nice grounds and worth a visit. Exotic bird aviary, modern sculptures and older statutes to look at. Good cafe and restaurant but can get very crowded.
Shooting photographs through black wire mesh is never easy.
Would recommend.

This was the wall across from the elevators. I didn't alter this picture in anyway. This is exactly how I took it. The early morning light was coming in from the left and made the painted red wall look purplish gray.
Romantic lamps made from natural gourds, each a unique piece of art. See mor of them at www.gourdlamps.com
The artistic gourd lamp shines its magic light and creates a mystical and romantic atmosphere in the room. Each gourd lamp is an individual, extraordinary masterpiece of handicrafts, which adorns living and sleeping rooms with its overwhelming play of lights. It takes an extraordinary lot of work and time to make a gourd lamp, but it's worth it as the result is an exceptional work of art, which makes for pretty decoration even in broad daylight, but in the dark it really comes to life and enchants everybody with its wonderful light. Would you like one to adorn your own home, or as an exclusive, unforgettable present for someone special? See more of them at www.gourdlamps.com

Restored rewired Antique lighting. Cast iron vintage chandelier hanging pendant ceiling light fixture. Art Deco Art Nouveau design.
ca. 1930 ... Art Nouveau, 1890-1914, explores a new style in the visual arts and architecture that developed in Europe and North America at the end of the nineteenth century.
Lighting of the time period 1925 to 1940 was a design period that deliberately eschewed the past and sometimes mingled with the organic forms of Art Deco Nouveau. This light reflects the Nouveau design influence
For the home with a unique personality. ...
I love it!! Black and white zig-zag textile cable + white metal covered sockets and those huge glass covers for halogen bulb adapters are great! The ceiling rose is made out of rubber so it was easy to make clean-cut holes for the cables. I can't be happier with the result.
Reproduction on canvas with artist enhancements including 3D elements.
Canvas within frame -23.5" wide x 29.5" tall
Dimensions with a frame: 30" wide x 35 3/4" tall
Frame itself is 2.5" wide flat profile.
I didn't buy the original "DIY" lamp package.
Instead I bought 18 of those 12 cm glass globes (House Doctor do sell them seperately) and my own lamp cord with a black fabric cable.
So this lamp is a little bigger than the original, which has only 12 globes.
You really have to be extremely careful when you assemble this because those glass globes are very delicate!!
I recommend that you shouldn't even breathe, while you are putting it together. ;)
Just around the corner from our place, the Delkwood Grill is a friendly neighborhood restaurant & bar. We sat in the bar for lunch. I noticed this lamp and knew it had to be a U of M relic. Turns out that the owners used to have some bars up in Michigan. Go figure.
GONE - Some of our industrial lamps are made for big spaces, but this attractive little lamp is perfect for the false ceilings so prevalent in Singapore. Great patina. Diameter : 12"
Refurbish vintage cast iron 1920-30's chandelier lighting, Antique Art Deco hanging ceiling light fixture. New 18 gauge wiring.
A great place to eat and right across a driveway from a Ted’s, which is also terrific. Real nice bar with an incredible selection of spirits.

One of the most comprehensive free art showcases in the USA - it's known as the "People's Palace" - providing Chicago both a local and global arts cultural scene from radio, literature, art, music, dance to theater, film and lectures.
STAINED-GLASS DOMES:
mindfulwalker.com/beyond-gotham/stained-glass-glory-i...
The building is home to 2 magnificent stained-glass domes. One by George Healy and Louis Millet in the Grand Army of the Republic rotunda. The other a Louis Tiffany of the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company in the Preston Bradley Hall - reported to be the largest Tiffany dome in the world at 38 feet in diameter with some 30,000 pieces of glass in 243 sections held within an ornate case iron frame. In 2008 it was fully restored to Tiffany's original vision as it was in 1897.
By Giovan Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680). On loan for a special exhibition at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts.

This lighting pendant is wonderfully unique and has a great rustic influence on interior decor.
This old well wheel is coupled with a vintage enameled shade (from a real farm!) and a vintage General Electric lamp socket (c. 1915, salvaged, cleaned and rewired from a chandelier). Reproduction brown, braided rayon wire and a 40 watt Edison style bulb complete the look.
There is extra cord wrapped on the wheel and a vintage style plug on the end. You can release or take up the cord to suit your needs. One could simply put a hook in the ceiling, hang the wheel from the reinforced jute rope and swag the rayon cord to the nearest outlet. Plug and play.
Bulb included. Please click my policies regarding the purchase of hanging lighting.

This funky lamp combines three previously discarded vintage items! The art deco percolator features a shiny chrome finish with deco styling, a removable lid with large glass dome. Inside is an amber C7 flashing bulb that simulates percolating coffee which "spills" into an aqua melmac cup and white saucer. Here there's a bubble light simulating steam. Both components are attached to a vintage toaster featuring a bright chrome finish and bakelite handles. Two neon flicker bulbs extend from each of the two bread slots. A rotary three-way switch is located on the side of the toaster which allows the percolator and cup to light separate from the toaster and vice versa. Includes all required bulbs. New brown cloth (rayon) covered cord and vintage style plug. 22"H x 16"W
Pop 'n' Perk is anxious to warm up your home!
Shot taken during a meeting of the Community House Artists group. I used my Kodak Master View 4x5 camera with a Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm F4.5 lens and Ilford Direct Positive Paper, developed in Ilford Multigrade Developer.
Ørjan just hung our LERAN lamp. We have the same one in the living room and I think this one compliments the flow of the rooms so much more now that this is up. It looks slightly off because I removed the extra boards that lengthen the table and pushed it to the back wall to make room while I was cleaning.

At Tokyo's fish market, two workers carefully have cut a large fresh tuna under the light of a hanging lamps. Small paper signs covered in handwritten Japanese characters, create a traditional and lively atmosphere.
What can we say?
When this came off the table in the studio we were blown away! Built on a reclaimed lamp base, this beauty features a vinatage percolator that hides a red flashing C7 bulb that lights though a large glass dome. At the base is an orange "curly" bulb that not only simulates rocket blast, but lights the little red light on the percolator's base. Also featured is a vintage melmac blinking sugar bowl (with lid) and melmac cup with a swirl bulb simulating a planet! New fabric cord and three-way switch that controls all components. 20"H x 20"W

Hanging lantern seen inside the Japan pavilion at Epcot in Orlando, Florida.
I was told this looks like a Shibuya Shoji lantern - quite neat. Can anyone confirm?
Feedback, comments & advice very much appreciated.

The main room of La Tunisia restaurant, a perfect setting of an Arabian Night's atmosphere of romance and intrigue.
The ceiling is covered with great swags of hand and gives the feeling of dining under a great tent on the North African desert. The restaurant, built at the cost of $750,000 was designed and decorated by the creators of Disneyland. La Tunisia is the show place of the Southwest featuring exotic Arabian dishes along with a wide variety of delicious American food.
