A hanging lamp in a dark stairwell in a Frankfurt museum.

The Center Hall of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum which is several floors above the entry level. This looks like a barrel vault to me. I don't know what the square patterns are called but they make fme feel dizzy when I look at them closely.

When I was editing the photo, I realized there're some white stuff against the backdrop of the dark ceiling. At first I was shocked and thought it was due to my lens covered with dirt! Under close "inspection" :) those white stuff were actually dirt and debris collected on the net that's covering the base of the roof! Press L for full screen, then look at the horizontal beams in lighter colours and you will see the net.

Here's another shot from the beautiful interior of the Lake McDonald Lodge at Glacier National Park. I posted one taken on the second floor of the lodge's open great room, from right behind the moose head seen in the middle, bottom of today's image a few weeks ago - check it out when you're done with today's post!
The lodge has three floors, each of which has an open railing overlooking the fireplace and hanging lanterns in the center of the great room. With its real timber construction, the lodge's floors are massive, yet still give a satisfying creak when walked upon. Near the top of the space, the smoke from the fire was a wonderful perfume, befitting the rustic space. I snapped away this pic as one of the folks who ran the place put an enormous log on the fire - you can't see it from this picture but the hearth and its firebox are big enough to walk right into and stand inside.
A detailed interior shot of the Wallfahrtsbasilika St. Georg in Walldürn, Germany, showcasing its magnificent Baroque high altar. The altar is richly decorated with gold accents, red marble columns, and intricate carvings. It features a central altarpiece with multiple paintings, flanked by religious statues, including a prominent crucifixion scene to the left. Candles are lit on the altar, which is adorned with a red cloth and potted poinsettias. In the foreground, a dark, ornate metal railing with red cushioned seating defines the altar area, and the floor is covered with patterned tiles. In the north of ‘s-Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands) in the Maaspoort district, you will find fifty sphere houses with their striking architecture. The spherical house was designed by the sculptor, designer and architect Dries Kreijkamp born in 1937 in Tegelen. After following various courses and gaining work experience, architect Dries Kreijkamp has found his passion, the sphere, the most organic and natural form.
After the foundation of private company Bolbouw, the houses were realized in 1984 with the aid of a subsidy for experimental living. With the aim of connecting the residents with nature, partly due to the various round windows that are present in the houses. The houses are also environmentally friendly, because of the spherical shape the wind has almost no control over them and they are also designed in such a way that they are energy efficient and cheap.
The white sphere has a diameter of five and a half meters and consists of cement reinforced with glass fiber. The sphere is, as it were, part of a kind of stilt house. It rests on a precast concrete cylinder with a diameter of three meters. The houses are divided as follows: the living room is located at the top of the sphere, toilet and bathroom in the middle and at the bottom are the bedrooms and a storage room made of polyester.
The sphere dwellings are designed for 1 to 2 people. The diameter of the sphere is 5.5 meters. The round base has a diameter of 3 meters. Here is the entrance and storage room. The volume of the sphere is 124m³ with a floor area of 55m². Through the entrance you walk up the stairs where the bedroom is. The toilet and bathroom are located in the center of the sphere. The living room with open kitchen is located at the top of the sphere. The living room has beautiful round windows that give it a futuristic look.
I walked past Woodward's Building and find the hanging lamps to be good touch up for the view of Harbour Centre.
