Wearing a Bellflower (Kikyo) kanzashi.

Two layers: plum blossom and cherry blossom (white and orange), with gradation.

Thistle (a Doll Chateau Kid, tall MSD, 50cm) is standing in for 57.5cm LilyCat ...

(Her lovely face is a bit small, of course, since she wears 6-7" wig, and 7-8" wig)

Tiny kanzashi for a Japanese fashion doll.

We made this lovely purple and sheer kimono set for a kind individual. Beautiful furisode fabric and sheer sparkle organza fabric go together so nicely.

Briar is wearing a red kimono over a white inner-kimono, worn loosely with a manaita obi. The manaita obi is specific to Oiran, who would wear such gorgeous obi with gold embroidery thread flowing over the very-detailed obi, which is longer, broader, and padded more than the usual obi. The decorative gold threads represent the Floating World, a pretty way to refer to the red light district.

I was playing with the shibori hair ties, and made the semi-traditional hair updo (simplified, and not all the way up~ ♥ but still cute)

Handmade by me. Testing the various sizes of kimono I made on the Dollstown elf body doll.

1/4 size doll kimono and kanzashi set. The gold obi is a heart obi, designed to fit nicely with he under layer kanzashi.

I made this dress! It is cotton with some ivory lace.

Quetzal is reading their fortune...

Dee and Wren are very fond of Tanabata.

Look who has a Totoro wish paper!!

Did you know I adore plum blossoms? :) Well, I do. So I decided to make a maiko henshin set... or a "mini maiko" addition that can be worn by someone even without nihongami. (Tho it's easiest to wear with nihongami, I think...)

I hand dyed the silk, cut out hundreds of petals, and folded, folded, folded. Now I'm done! :) I just need to take another photo of the sagari (falls) ... it's hard to do outside of your studio.

Ariadne is wearing a peach-pink kimono I made,and bush-clover belle flower kanzashi.

I fixed her wig too. It was made by someone else originally, dyed some silk to extend it and fill in around her neck.

The september kanzashi for maiko is the bell flower and bushclover. 萩桔梗

I made this tiny version for dolls. Suitable for SD (8-9 wig), or as an oversized hair ornament for MSD (6-7 wig).

Poncho

- tässä tapauksessa välly, jossa on myös aukko päälle, jos sitä hauaa käyttää "vaatteena".

I started with my leftover cotton yarns...

Showing off Briar's rainbow sleeves...multiple layers? Hm, no, actually it's just layering. ^_^

I decided to rethink my winter kanzashi design and have put together two separate ones-- a crane and two red star flowers for a winter motif. ♥

Handmade kimono set and kanzashi by me. ♥ I use vintage kimono repurposed for doll art.

Handmade by me~ Ochre kimono look extremely cute.

We found out that the Iplehouse Kid body fits pretty similar to the Studio Bitamin kimono! (just a little shorter on the oni.)

Slim Fit (3)

I really love nanohana kanzashi. So delicate, so small and so cute.

WIllow is a Dollmore Model F Seol-a sculpt on an IOS Class 40 body (because I don't have one for them...)

...I actually do not mind big heads. ♥ Actually very cute.

Yuzen kimono silk: vintage

Kimono made by me. ❤️

Merry Doll Round Zuri, our Ariadne, is a lovely doll. Very study stander and beautiful in any kimono.

Miyabi and Tomu wearing silk kimono.

Handmade kanzashi and kimono etc by me. ♥

Tomu is a MyouDoll Carr sculpt on an Iplehouse kid body.

You can see the signature of the yuzen kimono artist who painted (and embroidered) this mauve kimono. It was originally quite worn, so I cleaned it, removed stitches, and sew it for a 56cm doll. (Modeled on a 53cm doll, so it is a bit long...)

I love this dress on Kosuzu.

Shop update :) Thank you!

Willow is holding a tiny pomegranate pot, full of tea...

One of the best sides of this lovely green kimono; beautiful princesses on display.

The purple kimono is quite delicate and across the length and breadth of the garment; I love this pattern.

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

Handmade friendship bracelet for my sister as a get well gift. She had minor surgery for her appendix prior to Thanksgiving . (who needs them anyways?) It's just filler at the end of the book. :) She's better now. Gotta cheer by little sis up ya know?!

Waited until now to post to not spoil the surprise.

The tea pot, wagashi, and plate are all by hddolls_ceramics. The tea cup is from a local shop; it's an eraser!

Kimono made by me.

Sorrel is wearing a summer kimono of roh, light weight silk, and Aine is wearing a red autumn kimono done in the yuzen technique. (Both are made from vintage kimono silks.)

Aine is wearing a handmade silk wig, and Sorrel is wearing a wig by Anastasia fashiondoll on instagram.

Another look at moka resin; this time with flash.

Willow wearing oiran geta... they are 49.5cm doll, and modeling for a 56cm doll, so. They needed a little height. ;)

So, recently I've been playing with accessories! The kanzashi is with blue, the obiage is blue, and the under-kimono (it's actually a skirt! So I don't have to make an entire other kimono...)

This is the last *most* of the pattern from this human-sized kimono...the homongi tend to have small, detailed designs! But unlike furisode, when you cut them into doll kimono, the pattern isn't painted onto all of the silk, so there's only enough pattern for...two? Maybe three? doll sized kimono. And this is the second doll kimono. Now I have two meters or more of solid pink. Too bad not many are interested in solid colored kimono...
