I love her green eyes like green-tea.

She`s showing off her hair.

It seems she`s proud of her beautiful hair.

You may remember this from the Becoming an Artist Season 1 video when Bel and the Desert Rose started to pose together. These two were always up for posing. As soon as a camera came in their direction, they popped out a thousand different looks. Bel has such long and thick hair, it was like whirling around a vast black bearskin rug through the air.

The roar of a motorbike engine... a flash of yellow and black leathers... a stream of ombre hair... it looks like Oliver got his girl <3

The red foxes at our local wildlife park are quite long haired. It's not only because they are now wearing their winter coat but also because they are descendants of foxes which were held on fur farms. Even if the fox in this shot lives his life in captivity he is still better off than his ancestors.

Ok so it's not a selfie but I'm modifying this project as I am taking photos every day.. and sometimes I just can't take one of myself (due to lack of time, light, etc).. still, how gorgeous are these girls!

Man today was a super busy day! What can I say.. I'm a busy bee. Anyhoo this is barely edited as I was trying to get it in before the clock stuck 12 (dang.. and I missed it by 3 whole mins!) :(

I had a horrible allergic reaction to the pollen in the field (and possibly horse hair).. it has not been a fun evening. My whole face is still so sore. I have stupidly sensitive skin and I envy anyone who has no skin issues. You seriously don't know how lucky you are! :p

This was absolutely disgusting to be in..........

These lily pads were anchored in about a foot of muck that I kept sinking in. I only got one leech on me, so that was a good thing. I also had about a pound of seaweed stuck in my hair. It was kinda fun though. My little cousin Lily helped me with this one. She steadied my tripod on the side of the boat. I was praying she had an iron grip on it. She did a great job. She wants to be a photographer when she grows up. I think she will think twice before trying to roll around in the lily pads.

I am home now, and have a little bit of a sun burn. I am sooooo tired. I need a good nights rest in my own bed................

I enjoy being able to look forward to change and enjoy changing my appearance from time to time. I'm having fun with the braided and beaded hair.It is so much fun to watch others reactions.

4" wide dark fishing spider, Dolomedes tenebrosus, in Raleigh, NC.

Fun facts: fishing spiders actually have the ability to run across water thanks to their waxy legs, enabling them to dive and catch fish or hide, where they can remain for as long as 30 minutes using air trapped between their hairs. It is also an ambush hunter (they don't spin any webs) that can eat many times its own weight per day. Although non-aggressive, they can bite, but it is generally mild and, unless you are allergic, its venom is not considered dangerous to humans.

I know I've only recently finished uploading photos from another modelshoot but........

Just in the middle of processing my photos from a TFI shoot with Purpleport model @laurensafreak (not her real name.....) so I thought I'd upload a few of my favourites before I get stuck into another subject.

How many of you that saw the previously posted sepia version and guessed Lauren had such wildly coloured hair ? It was one of the reasons I was keen to shoot with her, that and she's pretty good at doing her own make-up too.

How bizarre it looks, when they're all running down the streets, their umbrellas raised like massive shields against the pounding rain. Hiding their faces, focusing on the ground. And I'm just in the middle of the chaos, no shield, no hectic. I feel the cold drops on my hair. It's so wet already, that some drops trickle down my forehead. Soaked to the skin, but not freezing. Just walking in peace.

hahahaha epic fail for today’s 365 guys.

I was totally inspired by leah and jake, so I decided I’d take pictures of my fingers with faces on them. GUESS WHAT. I forgot the “draw-on-the-faces” part HAHA. So this is what you get for my 365 today, forgive me hahahaha. This totally made me LOL when I opened up the file to edit, I was like,”OMG, I forgot to draw on the faces first before I took the picture! HAHAHAHA” and then pretty much died on the ground laughing at myself (:

So today I’d do another tag since I’m feeling quite bored. I’ll be finishing a tag by the fantastic MARIE. Check her awesome stream out!

1.My hair is getting soooo long! It’s almost up to my hips now :D

2.I like having straight hair, it’s just so much easier.

3.I finally have a hair dryer again! I had to last a whole 2 months without one. Not to be snobby about it, but it’s because my hair is really thick, so it takes like a year to dry haha

4.A Walk to Remember is one of the only Nicholas sparks books that I haven’t bawled over.

5.I want to write my own song before this year ends.

6.I will only drink without hesitation if I stay over at a friend’s place. If I am getting picked up right after a party, I only drink VERY little.

7.I like band-aids with graphics on them. (mickey mouse :D)

8.My dad is thinking of getting me a mac for my birthday in October since I’ve been doing well in all my studies last year

9.I want comfortable walking shoes, any suggestions?

10.I LOVE IPOD SOCKS. With all my heart ♥

thanks everyone for the explored fp!! it really means a lot to me! ♥

hope everyone enjoys their weekend! i have a little over a week left before school starts! gaaaah!

My wife hates this picture of me with bleach blonde hair. It isn't my favorite but it is kinda cute. Don't cha think?

Orchis purpurea, the lady orchid is a herbaceous plant belonging to the genus Orchis of the family Orchidaceae.

This orchid can be found in most parts of Europe, northern Africa, Turkey and the Caucasus. It usually grows in sloping woodlands, particularly in mixed deciduous / oak forests, but occasionally occur in meadows. It prefers limestone or chalk soil and partially shaded locations at an altitude of 0–1,350 metres above sea level.

Orchis purpurea reaches on average 30–100 centimetres of height. The leaves are broad and oblong-lanceolate, forming a rosette about the base of the plant and surrounding the flower spike. They are fleshy and bright green, and can be up to 15 cm long. The inflorescence is densely covered with up to 50 flowers. The sepals and upper petals are violaceous or purple. The flower's labellum is pale pink or white, with a center spotted by clusters of violaceous or purple hairs. It is divided into three lobes; the outer two are small and narrow, and the inner is large, rounded, and heart-shaped. Flowering occurs in late April to June (from Wikipedia).

I'm not a big fan of my titles lately…might have to change this one :)

This was one of the best shooting experiences I've ever had. Despite numbing my toes on the frozen ground, and needing to take an hour-long bath to get all the powdered paint removed from my hair, it was a blast! I was all alone at these hiking trails, with only some deer to watch my insane hair flipping, and it was really nice to finally take some new pictures :)

The last of the Stay Tuned Event dolls arrived today, she's supposed to be greyscale but she's not completely - nevertheless I find her adorable! The last photo shows her in comparison to Split Decision Poppy who also has Silver hair. It is a little confusing, picture three shows the "colour" palette. I have tried several white balance settings with nearly the same results. So I assume that she is a tad coloured. But as said, I really like her and the concept! 😍

It has always been my dream to take off on a hot air balloon. It was many years ago that this thought got etched in my mind - I was 10 and was sitting at the balcony alone in Orlando while suffering from a severe case of jet-lag. The day broke in a brilliant hue as an entourage of hot-air balloons floated by and the morning breeze gently brushed my hair. It was probably one of the most beautiful sights I've seen thus far that I kept it so close to heart even after a decade. Since then, I've always wanted to be on a hot-air balloon, lightly lifted by the mere principle of science and suavely steered by the call of nature.

I went out yesterday to take some photos and ended up taking a bunch of myself flipping my hair around.. I really hope my neighbors didn't see! I absolutely LOVE photographs of people in which there is some type of movement in their hair. It just makes the photo that much better to me.

Help with a title? I've never been good at relating my title to the photograph besides generic "light".."Hair"... you get it. I want the title to have more meaning.

a new centaurette, these flirty girls half woman half horse from disney´s fantasia.

i got this doll in a lot, it was a barbie friend fairy doll with this great purple hair, it was her destination to become a centaurette.

she has a full face repaint and hair styling. her costume is made of artificial flowers.the body isn´t right yet, she will get a model muse body, like the others centaurettes.

her face mold is different than the other centaurettes and her head is a little bigger...maybe she is adopted....

For many people a trip to Iceland isn’t complete without a trip to the Blue Lagoon. That thermally heated pool is a major tourist attraction and is located close to the main airport at Keflavik. As a result I am told it is very busy at the best of times. It is also a location that features regularly on travel programmes. Rather than follow the crowds and dig deeply into our pockets we chose to give the Blue Lagoon a miss and try the strangely named Mývatn Nature Baths. As can be seen here they were pleasantly quiet but still offered the strange experience of sitting in 40 degree water whilst ice crystals built up on your eye brows and in your hair. It was quite the experience.

- Act V, Scene IV: And So It Ends Like It Begins

I've started attempting to bleach the pink out of my hair. It's a horrid nightmare. My hair is SO damaged from being bleached so much so I have to wait about a week between bleaching and stripping the colour. I'm really worried my hair is going to fall out! But I went out and bought some intense moisture conditioner and a night moisturizing cream for my hair and hopefully that will put some life back into it. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as pretty as this picture makes it look. I don't know if it was the light or the flash that made the colours look so pretty because it's really a harsh almost white blond at the top and the bottom is an awful salmon pink. It looks atrocious and I don't leave the house without it tucked up under my hat or under my wig. I can't wait to get the new colour in but I'm taking it slow this time - I REALLY do not want to be BALD! Anyway, that's the reason I've been posting so many black and white shots and pictures of my hands and stuff.

Also if anyone has ANY tips on how to get SFX Atomic Pink out of my hair, it would be MUCH appreciated. Bleach it again? Use a colour stripper?

I was looking through my archives looking for a photo with any kind of tilt. This is as much tilt as I could find, but it had some Bokeh, so here it is :)

Finally i've wanted to start on a new Phoenix Wright other figures from the series but just couldn't figure out when to do so. It's a video games series I love and I only just played it last summer. I have played 4 games so far and i'm on Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright right now.

First of all I absolutely hate my last version of Phoenix Wright, mostly because of the hair. It looked awful, points were too straight, and it didn't look good at the front. Also the face looked huge and derpy, and I forgot to paint a collar. I totally fixed all of that on this figure though, at least I think. I sculpted a new hairpiece which looks good on all sides. Painted a new face and painted over the torso of my last one with a few cleaner and more proportionate lines.

Hope you guys like cause i'll be making more characters like Edgeworth, Godot, Maya, and who knows else.

What do you think!?

I still love a good levitation but I don't get as much time to do them these days, but I was up in London and arranged to shoot with Chihiro and this is what we came up with. Levitations are vaguely voguish I feel, and they enjoyed more interest a few years ago, but they will come around again at some point I imagine.

The Mechanics.....

Single strobe - camera right with diffuser, and white flippy screen pointing at wall @ 1/8th. White balance set to cool.

Firstly, you don't need a tripod if you follow the method laid out here. For the model, I shot about 20 images of her on a bench resting on the table and as I shot different sections, various elements of her body were lifted off the table to give the floating effect and then patched together in Photoshop. Maybe one day I'll get round to doing a YouTube video of it. The problem I gave myself was not shooting enough of Chihiro's hair as that was the most difficult thing in post to sort out. Fortunately out of those 20 shots I had taken enough different hair elements to be able to pick and choose which bits to use and reverse, resize and so on to make it work.

I had two strobes and two triggers with me and the idea was to set one up as a rim light and the other as a key light but one strobe decided not to work, so I was left with one ambient light and one strobe and this was the result. As a consequence, I've done some fairly heavy toning in lightroom. Lightroom is such an amazing tool at the moment in terms of masking. The flexibility is incredible . This version is the third variant. In the first two I wasn't happy with the lighting or the actual pose and there is more on puppet warp below.

I don't know how other photographers work but I tend to do light adjustments/toning/editing with masks in LR and then export into PS for the more heavy lifting (no pun intended) of firstly cutting out/ isolating the subject and then re integrating with the background. The first thing I also did in the backdrop was lift the practical light as it was shining through her skirt. Having it above her adds to the drama of the scene. Also in PS, I really went to town with puppet warp of the subject, to give some drama to the pose. This is a so called 'non destructive' form of editing an image. I am afraid my experience of PW is most definitely destructive. As the pose was somewhat altered from earlier, the PW caused some considerable loss of definition. I had to go back to a previous version and almost 'patch work quilt apply' old sections of material or other bits on top of this new version. Worse, toes and nose were actually cut shorter because of the reshaping. So, they also needed to be 'dropped in' seamlessly from an older shot.

The final piece of work to do in PS was to ensure that the various bits of hair taken from other shots was placed in shot without looking unnatural. In the original shot, Chihiro's hair was actually shot at a higher point in the frame and lighter than the background. If you've ever tried editing the background out of hair, it is a nightmare job although I am sure piximperfect would have a tutorial! The solution I used was to adjust the background to match the tones. Job done.

In the end, total madness really. This result is close enough to the shot I envisioned, so that's it. I'm leaving alone.

Overall, i'm pleased with this image because I managed to achieve ISO 125 and an aperture of F3.2 in quite low lighting conditions while also keeping the light soft, so that's a good thing I think.

The best way to start a day - brunch at Saving Grace.

Take it all in...

A curly girl is more than hair, it's a way of being.

Grazie."

I love street photography, which is why I often photograph in public places where people appear. In most cases I don't ask permission to photograph because I would probably change the images I try to get. These photos always obey a cultural, aesthetic, artistic and / or documentary intent and in no case are they intended to show anyone a situation that could damage their image, threaten their dignity or obtain an economic benefit. All this does not mean at all that I don't care about the people that appear in my images, so if you recognize yourself in one of my photographs and it annoys you, you just have to let me know and I will immediately withdraw it. Similarly if you want a copy of your image on paper or in a format that allows you to print it yourself, of course it is yours. Thanks."

When I read that the theme for week 2 was "Red", I thought that would be easy for me, I'm a redhead. But then I decided to go a less easy way and cover my hair. It didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted, but it'll do :)

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Getting some seriously scowling eye contact here, and probably a mouthful if I had lingered around! My money would be on them to win by the way... With the pair of them in their spots and platinum blonde hair it would be a gift to any street photographer. The shot suited a central composition and a widescreen format, I just had to. Enjoy!

I found another Jennifer with stunning hair. It's real, I asked :)

I was shooting a dance performance when I ran across the this gentleman. I wasn't there to shoot the crowd, but I couldn't pass up his exquisite stache.

I told him about the 100 Strangers project and he nodded "sure". That was about all the communication we had. He was very quiet, but politely allowed me to position him over by a pool table that was about the only light in the building. The tan felt of the table reflected this perfect light for his red hair. It was hard to hear, and when I was done, he nodded and returned to his friend.

I had fun taking this shot of the girl with the Purple Hair. It was dyed this colour and I like it on a young person. She was with her family attending a Birthday outing.

Flit stops off at the Trade Post to pick up some well needed supplies She grabs a respirator to keep the harsh sands out of her circuits, some body armor and shades.

She is thankful for the small knife she aquires and hacks off a good portion of hair, it will only get in the way where she has to go. She circles back taking the long way to shake off the feeling of being followed and ducks into her bunker to check in on Dylain.

this didn't really go to plan tonight. my makeup isn't as good as i would have liked due to finishing old foundation. Finally don't that now yay.

Then I thought lets try a wig and although it does look better it doesn't feel right and so i didn't feel right.

Anyway the whole aim of the exercise was to wear these boots after Hannah says my other ones were to flat and functional lol or something like that. Not worn these for a while because the tend to slip down when you start walking about.

Still not a bad image just not what i had in mind. wait until you see it with my own hair, it doesn't get better believe me. Looks like after the other it is all down hill from here on out. Mind you i am 52 come Thursday

Upon one summer's morning

I carefully did stray

Down by the Walls of Wapping

Where I met a sailor gay

Conversing with a young lass

Who seem'd to be in pain

Saying, William, when you go

I fear you'll ne'er return again

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

His hair it hangs in ringlets

His eyes as black as coal

My happiness attend him

Wherever he may go

From Tower Hill to Blackwall

I'll wander, weep and moan

All for my jolly sailor

Until he sails home

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

My father is a merchant

The truth I now will tell

And in great London City

In opulence doth dwell

His fortune doth exceed

200, 000 gold

And he frowns upon his daughter

Who loves a sailor bold

A fig for his riches

His merchandise and gold

True love has grafted my heart

Give me my sailor bold

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

Should he return in pov'rty

From o'er the ocean far

To my tender bosom

I'll press my jolly tar

My sailor is as smiling

As the pleasant month of May

And often we have wandered

Through Ratcliffe Highway

Many a pretty blooming

Young girl we did behold

Reclining on the bosom

Of her jolly sailor bold

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

My name it is Maria

A merchant's daughter fair

And I have left my parents

And three thousand pounds a year

Come all you pretty fair maids

Whoever you may be

Who love a jolly sailor

That plows the raging sea

While up aloft in storm

From me his absence mourn

And firmly pray arrive the day

He's never more to roam

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold

My heart is pierced by Cupid

I disdain all glittering gold

There is nothing can console me

But my jolly sailor bold
