Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww she looks a bit soft & fragile here!!!! Sorry but I have a few shots of her from this shoot that I really really love. Hope I don't drive any of you crazy.
i love her slight messy hair. It was a bit breezy today. I know a lot of people find human hair reroots creepy or weird. But I really love the way they photograph. SCRUMPTIOUS!
Thanks to another very kind member in the W club, I was able to trade my life ball doll for a Spectacular Eugenia. I really love her. I must confess I had been dreaming about her secretly ;)
How do you like her hair? It has been changed by her previous owner, and while I do like it, I adore her previous style also... what do you guys think?
Nigella Damascena. Venus hair, Capuchin beard or spice herb, usually bloom in summer. The name "nigella" comes from the Latin "niger" which means black and which refers to the color of the seeds contained in the capsules. As for the name of Venus Hair, it is due to the aerial finesse of its foliage. The solitary flowers on a stem, are surrounded by kinds of very filiform bracts. Very decorative, they have a light and bushy harbor, and are well adapted for wild and country gardens.

Angel Face Barbie in "The Interview" Silkstone fashion. I love this Barbie's hair, it has those great ash blond streaks. I also like how light her makeup is for a Barbie of the Superstar era. The Superstar face is what I think of as the quintessential Barbie since I grew up playing with this version. I have to admit it is nice to photograph a purely friendly looking girl.
self
I want long hair :( it grows so slowly
this is actually my moms room, I love her bed.
'exam-time' starts soon, I have no idea how to manage this, but I don't want to stop the project for this time!!!!
please do not blog or use my images for anything without my personal permission
Tracey I hope you love her new look. :)
After I got her scalp back on straight and conditioned her hair it was obvious that her fringe has been cut quite short. I neatened it up as much as I could without taking any more length off. The rest of her hair turned out lovely and soft.
I think she is adorable!
I often see a tip for telling if a bug is a bee or a wasp which says that if it has hair - it must be a bee.
The thing is that even though a honey bee is significantly fuzzier, wasps, like this worker common wasp (Vespula vulgaris) definitely have a lot of hair on them as well.
I find that the shape of the eyes are a better tell in a photo as wasps have more elongated eyes and have a slight narrowing in the middle while bee eyes are more elliptic. Also, honey bees are never black and bright yellow like this.
The one in this shot is enjoying the lagre inflorescence on a purple angelica (Angleica gigas).

At some point in the late 80s or early 90s someone (I forget who now) told me about a small band of elves who lived alongside humans near Anaheim. They all looked human enough, the main differentiator being their silver eyes and auburn hair. It seemed like a family of brothers and sisters but they all worked as mechanics for race tracks or raced cars themselves. Everyone thought they were human.
This is my entry for this week's Macro Mondays challenge, "The First Letter of My Surname"
We take these for granted, but they are much more than just pieces of stationary which have been widely in use for over 150 years.
They were, in fact, a symbol of unity as they bring things together, during the Second World War. So much so that the Nazi regime had banned people from wearing it on their body or to tie up their hair.
It was also the name of a then Top Secret operation by the U.S Government where the top scientists from the Reich were taken to America to work on the America's Space Program, including the likes of Wernher Von Braun, who needs no introduction!
Additionally, Paperclip also featured as an animated character, Clippy, on most Microsoft Software Products in the Help section - Who doesn't remember that in the old days?
All in all, a piece of flimsy steel which has bound some of the most important documents of Mankind together - That is no ordinary stationery!
The one in focus, belongs to my lovely wife :)
had planned on using the brown librarian girls hair..it didnt look good..so went with goth girls hair..very Japanese~ish lol
that I should keep the flat iron that I bought and had intended to return after straightening my hair. It's been said that I "could maybe use a change in (my) look". I am mostly adverse this idea, since it gives me that weird "Princess Diaries" vibe. What say you?
15/100
i don't have too much to say about this. Some extras are in comments (finally figured out how to do that) But some advice I have for you: if your going to play with flour, don't wear a black coat and don't get it in your hair. It takes forever to get out :(
More fun with AI-generated images to recreate moments that never happened. Here I wanted to see an earlier head shot of a younger Joanna. I seem to have luck with this AI tool and asking for happy images of people fixing their hair. It gives a good reason to hide their fingers, which AI tools seem to frequently mess up.

It feels so wondrous when your ideas and imaginings come to life. We spent a good hour or so on her hair, it broke my heart to have to take it apart after a few short minutes of shooting but I'm so so happy I finally got to shoot this concept, its been in my mind for quite some time and finally it broke into reality.
I hope everyone is surrounded by loved ones, love to you all ♥
The sort of day when you get the wind between your toes, and the sand in your hair.... It was wonderful!
saturday 5th september;
i waited for jess after she finished work at 2pm. she took me to the hairdresses where rosie bower washed my hair. it don't look that different tbh, my fringe is shorter than it was though, so i can see now. we decided to spontaniously (may be spelt wrong) go to meadowhall, as i had an extra £20 left and she had like £100+ on her card. we were searching for a bag each for college almost all day, haha. eventually i bought one from topshop cause it was cheap and i didn't find anything else i was looking for. jess bought a NYC one (which she thinks is too big, but she likes it). i had a KFC and after about an hour later, we caught the 6:35pm train back.
jess hasn't been too happy recently. after having a really good convosation with her today on the way back, i understood what kinda messed up shit she was/is going through. i took this photo on the way back home, and it may be shitty quality and noisy etc but it represents how hopefully.. things will get brighter - for both jess and others.
i wish everyone luck at whatever they do next (:
In Argentina this bird is known as "cabecita negra" (little black head) (Carduelis magellanica)
"
Description
Measures between 10 and 14 cm. The male is generally greenish above and yellow underneath, has on the head a characteristic black hood, greenish yellow neck and neck, yellow rump, wings and tail are black with very striking yellow stripes in flight. The female has no hood, its head is gray, has the paler back and underneath more greenish than yellow. The juveniles are similar to the female.
Habitat
Very varied, it is adapted to many biotopes and altitudes, from sea level to 5000 m. In gardens and parks of the cities. It prefers mountainous areas rich in forests and bushes.
Singing
It consists of sharp trills and other notes issued very fast. They sing for more than two minutes uninterruptedly, varying the sounds and changing their tone to beautify and break the monotony of the phrase. When a male sings, it infects the rest forming several groups of choirs in the same tree. It has its moments of singing that usually is in the morning or in the afternoons when it refreshes. When it goes in flocks they maintain the permanent contact with their incessant whistles.
Reproduction
Between the months of October to March the male and female separate from the flock to look for a breeding territory. The male chases the female singing and showing his black throat. The mating takes place 7 days before you start building the nest. The female without help from the male builds it in 7 or 9 days. It uses vegetal fibers, stems and fine sticks to give a structure and it internally it covers it with wool and hairs. It places it at the end of a tree branch like eucalyptus or in a conifer, at a high altitude (3-4 meters). The laying usually consists of 3-4 bluish white eggs with brown and black spots, length 16.5 mm, width 12.4 mm, weight 1.5 grams. The hatching and the initial care of the young are done by the female and after days the male collaborates."

One of my favourite beetles - the Golden-bloomed Grey Longhorn (Agapanthia villosoviridescens) - seen in Chantry Park today!
The Golden-bloomed Grey Longhorn is a large and very distinctive longhorn beetle with a golden iridescent bloom on the elytra and thorax. The antennae are also very distinctive with dark and light bands. The elytra are somewhat bristly with hairs.
It is found mainly found in damp meadows, woodland rides and hedgerows. It is a stem borer that breeds in the stems of thistles and other herbaceous plants. Adults feed on umbellifers such as Hogweed and Cow Parsley as well as on nettles. It can be seen from April to August, peaking in May and June.
Golden-bloomed Grey Longhorns are locally common across central and southern England, though absent from the southwest. They are scarcer in northern England and largely absent from Wales.

I've finally re-bodied my Aurora on more articulated body (from Disney Store), but I also wanted to make her ultimately perfect. The main thing that I wanted to change in her was her hair. It was really great, but it was not 100% movie accurate.
I washed and restyled it to make it just like in the movie (especially i tried to perfectly make her bangs and signature little front curl). I also slightly sewed top of her dress to make it more fitting to her new body.
So here my perfect Aurora. Now I'm going to make my perfect Snow White in rags doll (I've recently found it and I'm going to buy it).
This is me making an awkward face and taking a less-than-average self-portrait and attempting to fix it by editing like mad. The fixing didn't really work. My eyes could be from two different people. Hahahaha :)
Now playing: Gold digger, Ludacris feat. Bobby Valentino. I think I got this song from the movie Shark Tale.
Random fact: I used to have highlights in my hair. It was ugly.
She is really one of the happiest babies I have ever met, this was right before she feel fast alseep and it only lasted for a second... it just cracks me up, that hat looks like crazy hair, it's kind of perfect that she is mad! Lots of fun ones of her to come.
Pale Tussock Moth Caterpillar, Calliteara pudibunda.
Family; Tussock moths (Lymantriidae).
Habitat; Broad-leaved woodland, hedgerows, parks and gardens and scrub.
Caterpillar Food Plants; A wide variety of broadleaved trees and shrubs including Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Crab Apple, cultivated fruit trees, Oaks, Birches, Hazel, Lime, Elm and Hop of which it used to be a pest when it was commonly grown.
UK Status; Common and very well distributed in England and Wales, north to Cumbria. Local on the Isle of Man and absent from Scotland. Well distributed in Ireland except for the north-west.
Flight Period; May and June.
The caterpillar of the Pale Tussock is very distinctive, similar to that of the Dark Tussock (Dicallomera fascelina), but is generally greenish or yellow, with four conspicuous tufts of yellow hairs. It feeds on a range of deciduous shrubs and trees, and used to be a pest of hop (Humulus lupulus), when it was commonly grown. They grow slowly between late June and early October, then overwinter as pupae.
The adults are large with a wingspan range of 42mm – 62mm. The females are much larger than the males, but both rest with distinctive forward-facing furry legs. The markings are usually darker and more extensive in the males, which also have feathered orange-brown antennae. The males often come to light in larger numbers than the females.
Happy new year everyone! I am so happy we can start a new year together, you have no idea! This is a very special release and we collabed with Christwo Designs. We wanted to do a little of an interactive hair with his newest release at Level. Basically you can play with your hair styles and also a super cool cap made by him while using the selfie mode, but for more details please watch his last video on his Youtube channel where eh shows the whole release. About the hair, it includes four head sizes and four chest ones. Also if you own the Deluxe HUD you will be able to use a beret (20colors and ONLY on the XS size).
Hope you guys like this one and come by to try a demo on ♥

we stopped at perfect days and got out of the car. the wind glanced at her hair. it was as simple as that. i turned to say something-
Ingredients: Black plastic, white plastic, glue, shiny metal wire, wood, brown marker, silver foil and last but not least: 3 human hairs :)
It measures 15mm tall (0.59 inches)
This was made for a Mr. Fly shot, but that one didn't turn out well, I'll upload it later
It only has 3 strings since a fly only has 2 fingers ;)
but I see you in the background Sparky ;)

Winged Victory
Bronze statue
Height: cm 191
Second half of 1st century AD
It is a feminine figure, slightly turning her body to the left; she is wearing a cloth pinned on her shoulders (kiton) and a mantle (himation) wrapped around her legs.
The statue was realised with the technique known as investment casting and is composed of at least 30 parts cast separately and later soldered together. Just like in portraits, the finish touch is given with pointed tools that define traits neatly. With the technique of damascening, silver has been woven to her hair.
It must have been created in the second half of the 1st century AD by a professional workshop specialised in bronze art in the north of Italy.
The statue was discovered on July 20th 1826 and the fame of the Victory in Brescia had been spreading all around Europe, so much so that Napoleon III, who was staying in Brescia before the Solferino battle in June 1859, wanted to visit the Archaeological and historical museum. He was so impressed by the beauty of the statue that he asked to have a copy of it, now exhibited at the Louvre. Thankful for this gift from Brescia, the Emperor donated to the city two monumental Sèvres porcelain vases bearing the portraits of Napoleon III and his wife, now on show at the Museo del Risorgimento in the city.
After The Rain
June 23rd, 2010
“I like how the air smells after the rain,” she said, lightly twirling her golden hair, “It’s fresh and it’s clean and it reminds me of new love.”
“I like how the air smells when you’re next to me,” he said, watching as she lightly twirled her golden hair, “It’s fresh and it’s clean and it reminds me of our love”
“I like how the air smells when you cower in fear,” said the twister, maniacally ripping them from their home, “It’s raw and it’s power and it reminds me of death.”

The François' langur (Trachypithecus francoisi), also known as the Francois' leaf monkey, Tonkin leaf monkey, or white side-burned black langur is a species of lutung and the type species of its species group. François' langur is a medium-sized primate with black, silky hair. It has very distinct white sideburns that grow down from its ears to the corners of its cheeks. It is one of the least studied of the species belonging to the Colobinae subfamily. The species is distributed from Southwestern China to northeastern Vietnam. The total number of wild individuals is unknown, but fewer than 500 are believed to be left in Vietnam and 1,400–1,650 in China. About 60 langurs are in captivity in North American zoos. The species is named after Auguste François (1857–1935), who was the French Consul at Lungchow in southern China.
Leaf monkeys take their name from the lush jungle foliage that makes up the bulk of their diets. All are equipped with a large, chambered stomach, like that of a cow, which allows them to break down and digest their fibrous fare.
Langurs are born bright orange, but start to change to an adult's black fur with silver tips at about six months old. The orange coloring is believed to help the females in a langur community keep track of, and help raise, the kids—this is referred to as “allomothering.” 14638

I've finally done re-styling my new Aurora's hair. It looks like to me that 2016 classic dolls have much better hair quality than last year ones, because after I washed all gel from her hair I found out that her hair was very smooth and silky. Actually I used a little bit of hair conditioner during washing, but I think that she also had very good hair before. The only lack of new doll's hair is that she hasn't too much hair for her frontal bangs' curl, but I somehow managed to make it pretty accurate.
This is actually my second attempt to curl her hair, because at first her curls turned out a bit too tight. This time it turned out much better. As you can see I added a lot of hairspray at the ends of her curls to make sure that it wouldn't fall apart. I really like the finished result and I hope you'll like it too)))
Some people tend to prepare for the worst. One day, a woman felt the wind blowing in her hair. It was just a normal breeze, but the woman thought to herself: What if there will be a storm tonight? The woman climbed up the hill near her house to get a clearer view of the sky. She didn´t know if the wind would grow stronger, but she thought it would be best to be prepared for a worst case scenario. She stood at the hill for hours, feeling the wind blowing softly on her face. But the storm never came. The woman continued to wait. After a couple of days the clouds started to form themselves around her head, and she became a part of the sky herself.

Stećci are the name for monumental medieval tombstones that lie scattered across Bosnia and Herzegovina. This necropolis is located near village Umoljani, mountain Bjelasnica, on approx 1200 meters. Gravestones are dated to the 13th and 14th century - Bogumil period.
RAIN
It must be that we learn again to listen how the rain falls falls
It must be that we are brought out of stone and stride without turning through the arch of the town
It must be that we find again the lost paths of that blue grass
It must be that in the richness of seeds we embrace the fearful poppies and ants
It must be that we cleanse our faces anew and dream in the clear dew-drops of the dawn
It must be that we faint away in the dark blades of some grassy hair
It must be that we suddenly stop with our own sun and with our own shadow swell
It must be that we finally meet with our long since fugitive hearts
It must be that we are brought out of stone and pass without turning through the stone arch of that stone town
It must be that we will And wake the whole night listening how the just rain falls falls falls
Bosnian poet Mak Dizdar: Kameni spavač (Stone Sleeper), 1966.

I am really going through something. I think the quarter life crisis thing is real. Today I decided to cut off all of my hair. It was liberating but I am not ready to photograph it yet.

When it comes I wanna wail "MAIL!"
Yeah. All the cool kids are watching Blues Clues these days.
It's Tuesday. As you probably already know, thankyou Captain Obvious.
I'm waiting anxiously for the mail. Waiting waiting waiting ....if my dye doesn't come in today I'll probably cry.
This is the ridiculousity (yes it's a word) that is my hair. It's blonde at the bottom, orange midway up and light pink at the roots.
I've washed it 3 times since I've dyed it. What a rip off.
My dad and my brother are still making fun of me which kind of sucks and makes me want to cry because I'm already drowning in the failure from my "HEY! I"M GONNA DO THIS AND HAVE AWESOME PINK HAIR!" project. Seriously. I know I look retarded. There's no need to point it out.
I really don't want to do ANOTHER wig shot, this week as been my unofficial "Wig Week" so today if it works out the way I'm hoping, you guys will only see a shot of my hands.
My brother's friend has been here all weekend and he FINALLY went home. What is it with teenage boys and odors? Do they not understand the concept of a shower? Seriously. Sunday he came over and him and my brother both worked outside with my dad weeding and setting up the patio furniture. Yesterday they did the same thing. Today they woke up and spent most of the morning on the computer before my mom drove him home.
After 2 days of working outside in 90 degree weather THEY DID NOT SHOWER ONCE. And OH MY GOD! I couldn't even go into the library to use the PC to edit my pictures without fumigating it with Febreeze first.
Really I don't get it. It's super easy. My showers take 7 minutes. I don't like taking showers or baths, I get bored. So I get in and get out. Just incase there are any teenage boys out there viewing my stream, let me break it down for you:
1: Strip clothes off
2: Turn on water
3: Get in shower
4: Rub soap on body and hair
5: Rinse off
6: Turn off water
7: Dry off and get dressed.
You should try it sometime. It's pretty awesome.
It has been some time since the Addams team and us have done a collab and we were really excited to do something summery. Since I got so many requests for a longer wet middle part I decided that would be our release. As all our wet hairs, it includes water drops and three head sizes and four chest ones. Addams did an amazing outfit which includes a knotted top and a pair of jeans with a matching knotted belt. The amount of colors released is just amazing.
Hope you guys like this one and come by to try a demo on ♥

The bee is visible hairy and has a rounded abdomen. It has weak brown and yellow stripes. The wasp has an elongated, smooth, thin body without hair. It has very distinctive black and yellow stripes. And then the wasp waist and an acute abdomen.
You may also know them by temperament, where the wasp is aggressive and sticks for the good word.
The bee is very peaceful and must be bothered roughly before it sticks. Bees like flowers and wasp goes after jams, ice cream bars and even steak from the grill.
I learned how to do a fishtail braid, but I have to perfection it in the summer. It's a pity that a have dark hair, it doesn't show very well.
I can't wait till school finishes, I'm so tired!
Explored, #324 :) Thank you. My friends on facebook really liked this one.
Note: I chose this as my "photo of the day" for Jul 28, 2015. It was an easy choice, since this is the only photo that I've uploaded to Flickr today ... duh.
*******************************************************************************
I'm traveling this week, and I have no idea if I'll be able to access the Internet in a civilized way (there may not even be any oxygen or electricity where I'm going) ... so I'm only uploading one photo a day while I'm gone.
I hope to return to the Center of the Universe within a few days ...
I don't really have any editorial comment about this photo, and was prepared to skip right over it initially -- indeed, wondering why I had even bothered to snap the image.
And then it occurred to me: precisely because it looks so ordinary and commonplace today (late June of 2015), it's likely to look unusual, bizarre, or downright unimaginable a decade from now. Or a century from now. As such, perhaps it will serve some minor purpose, so that people can look at it and mutter to themselves, "Is that really what people looked like back in those primitive times?"
Yes, they're all relatively young, and they're all reasonably attractive (okay, maybe very attractive) ... but that's pretty normal here in New York City. Or maybe that's just what I'm accustomed to seeing every day, so I take it for granted that they're attractive.
Perhaps it will seem odd that half of the women in this photo are doing something with, or to, or on their smartphones ... but in 2015, one might well have expected all of them to be fondling their phones.
Maybe it's significant that four of the six are wearing sunglasses ... maybe, a decade from now, we'll all have contact lenses that provide appropriate degrees of shade.
Maybe it's significant that they're all wearing sandals or sneakers ... but at least none of them are barefoot.
Most likely, I suspect, the overall style of dress will be considered outrageous to a new generation of fashionable young people. It was summertime when the photo was taken, so you would think that the presence of short dresses would not seem that outrageous ... but who knows?
And the hair-styles: note that all of the women have long-ish hair. It's not down to their waist, but at least three of them are wearing a ponytail, and none of them have an elaborate pile of hair curled up and around their heads.
I would be curious to see if anything else about this group strikes the average Flickr viewers as good, bad, indifferent -- or "permanent" versus "transient."

This is the continuation of a photo-project that I began in the summer of 2008 (which you can see in this Flickr set), and continued throughout 2009-2014 (as shown in this Flickr set, this Flickr set, this Flickr set, this Flickr set, this Flickr set)), this Flickr set)), and this Flickr set)): a random collection of "interesting" people in a broad stretch of the Upper West Side of Manhattan -- between 72nd Street and 104th Street, especially along Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. These are the people in my neighborhood, aka "peeps in the 'hood."
As I indicated when I first started this project six years ago, I don't like to intrude on people's privacy, so I normally use a zoom telephoto lens in order to photograph them while they're still 50-100 feet away from me; but that means I have to continue focusing my attention on the people and activities half a block away, rather than on what's right in front of me. Sometimes I find an empty bench on a busy street corner, and just sit quietly for an hour, watching people hustling past on the other side of the street; they're almost always so busy listening to their iPod, or talking on their cellphone, or daydreaming about something, that they never look up and see me aiming my camera in their direction.
I've also learned that, in many cases, the opportunities for an interesting picture are very fleeting -- literally a matter of a couple of seconds, before the person(s) in question move on, turn away, or stop doing whatever was interesting. So I've learned to keep my camera switched on, and not worry so much about zooming in for a perfectly-framed picture ... after all, once the digital image is uploaded to my computer, it's pretty trivial to crop out the parts unrelated to the main subject. Indeed, some of my most interesting photos have been so-called "hip shots," where I don't even bother to raise the camera up to my eye; I just keep the zoom lens set to the maximum wide-angle aperture, point in the general direction of the subject, and take several shots. As long as I can keep the shutter speed fairly high (which sometimes requires a fairly high ISO setting), I can usually get some fairly crisp shots -- even if the subject is walking in one direction, and I'm walking in the other direction, while I'm snapping the photos.
With only a few exceptions, I've generally avoided photographing bums, drunks, crazies, and homeless people. There are plenty of them around, and they would certainly create some dramatic pictures; but they generally don't want to be photographed, and I don't want to feel like I'm taking advantage of them. There have been a few opportunities to take some "sympathetic" pictures of such people, which might inspire others to reach out and help them. This is one example, and here is another example.
The other thing I've noticed, while carrying on this project for the past six years, is that while there are lots of interesting people to photograph, there are far, far, far more people who are not so interesting. They're probably fine people, and they might even be more interesting than the ones I've photographed ... unfortunately, there was just nothing memorable about them. They're all part of this big, crowded city; but for better or worse, there are an awful lot that you won't see in these Flickr sets of mine...
