I don't know why this female is giving me such a grumpy look. I've been feeding cats in a feral colony and being the alpha female she always gets her fill. I just can't get no respect! A bit out of focus, my camera locked onto the boulders in front of her but I love her expression.

This is the face of an owl that's sick of you, and the 17 people standing next to you. Honestly there were way too many people in it's space at the time. I took one burst (honestly, probably knowing the group was too close) and retreated back to owls in flight after seeing the fluffed ear tufts (a sign of distress/agitation).
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. I hope you all know that I appreciate your comments however, awards and invites aren't necessary.

Happy Halloween.
Thought I would try and makes some gourd ghosts this year...As you can see it didn't work out too well...More like grumpy old men than ghosts. At least the sunlight on left grumpy makes it looks like he has fangs :o)
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo attendant had just entered the Meerkat enclosure to wash the glass walls, waking this sleeping meerkat in the process. He looked a bit grumpy for it : )

Dopey is still on the pills, Sneezy's hayfever is worse, and Sleepy still wont get up.
Or, is it all a fairy story.
Oh, meant to say, just within the 3 inch rule. 👍.
Say hello to Ollie. Ollie is a doorstop, if I were a doorstop I'd be grumpy too. More window shopping, I'm having a good time looking for still life in these settings.

Hippos (Hippopotamus amphibius) prefer still waters to the fast moving Mara River in full flood that this bull was having to contend with, which, one might imagine, explains his unamused expression.

With failing light (for landscape photography) I suggested to Iain that we made our last stop at Troup Head Nature Reserve to check out his new lens. Well out of my comfort zone, both perched on a cliff edge and shooting things that move, I have to admit to it being an enjoyable hour or so; I even managed a few half decent shots of these elegant birds in flight. My favourite image though was of this particular gannet who seemed non too pleased with my camera pointed at 'him'.
She's not really, in fact, Boo is the most affectionate cat we have ever lived with. She just has this perpetually sour expression.
