I ended up breaking one of the eggs "head" as it rolled out of the carton. A bit of light fun for the challenge of out of place.
Making my annual pilgrimage to my accountant and not wanting to deal with the potholes, kamikaze taxi drivers and outrageously expensive parking I take the train into Manhatten to take care of business and in the 65 years of riding the trains is with exception of people heading to a ball game or some other special events subways are filled with tired looking people with mostly dour expressions going to and from work.
True story: on this beautiful sunny Sunday morning I cruised by to check out this fellow for my 29th picture. I paused for a four way stop intersection and glanced around for an empty parking spot.
A motorist, with a temperament similar to this fellow's, rolled up to my rear bumper and laid a heavy hand on his truck's horn for a deafening three second blast. As I often do with grumpy drivers, I rolled down my window and gave him a big friendly wave in response. :-)

This is a Superb Starling at the zoo. They always seem to look grumpy or as if they feel superior to the other birds in the aviary. The latter wouldn't surprise me as due to their striking colours they get quite a lot of attention (and admiration) from the visitors.
... guess its the Sunday Blues for him :))

As in the past I like to give names to the rocks I see. If you don't see it, I understand. It's fun for me.
I've contrasted these a wee bit, but I've never seen clouds quite like this - a wee bit scary and a wee bit fluffy and a wee bit cotton wool and a wee bit sheep

This Gentoo Penguin was photographed at Port Lockroy, which lies on a scenic bay on Wiencke Island near the Antarctic Peninsula. It was used as a whaling station until 1931. Today it is a popular tourist destination for cruise ship passengers in Antarctica. It is now a museum, store and the most southern post office in the world.
We were told that these penguins were not happy at this time because they were in the process of a 3 week moult. That meant that they were hungry because they do not go out to fish during this time. He was putting on his "grumpy" face!
This was our last shore landing before we started the sail back to Ushuaia. Our time was a little limited because there was bad weather coming and the captain wanted to start sailing back. The 2 day sail took us through the Drake Passage, which has the reputation of being the roughest part of ocean in the world. It is where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet and certainly lived up to its reputation. But I loved watching the waves as long as I didn't have to walk anywhere! What a journey it was.
