Our favorite garden dragons having a bad day. The sign was a gag gift from my sister and brother-in-law. : ))

I think I might be getting sick. Grr. I typical break out a LOT before I get sick and as you can maybe see, zits! Yay for me who has never worn make up!

I went out and ran errands today. People were just rude, left and right. The girl at B&N gave me evil looks paying with THREE different Gift Cards. When she was done ringing me up she didn't even say thank you, or anything just shoved the bag at me. Ugh.

At least, anything, today, I ate Chipotle and it was good. +

Along with the processing of this photograph, it fits my mood, in my eyes, well. I can't do the straight out of camera thing often because the colors for me make the vibe, not the photograph, in many cases.

Ah, this is life. Up and down, around, left, right, sideways, and upside down. Today just felt like the world was against me.

My little 'seven dwarfs' puppet I made at school in 1954.

According to Doc he's got an eye infection. Grumpy's not been feeling Happy for a week, don't know why they fell out..Bashful has come out of shell and has been feeling Happy for the last two days.

Dopey is still on the pills, Sneezy's hayfever is worse, and Sleepy still wont get up.

Or, is it all a fairy story.

Oh, meant to say, just within the 3 inch rule. 👍.

The Eastern Blue Devil is friendly to visiting divers. She is resident in a small cave about 15 minutes out from the Gutter, near Bushrangers Bay.

Well, perhaps not, but certainly intimidating.

Part of my effort to post some different types of photos.

This menacing looking eel was photographed at the Scripps Aquarium in La Jolla, California.

He didn't think it was necessary and so he didn't step aside from the camera.

Poor old guy is spoiled rotten, but he is old and crotchety. We love him anyway!

Wearing leaves and flowers as adornment, this old planter is keeping some pumpkins company.

an American toad does not appear to be a morning creature

taken yesterday on our dog walk, it's going to be a wet walk this morning for Lotty!!!

Just a rabbit out the back door....

I thought his expression was pretty funny.

It was overcast and drizzly which may have contributed to the overall grumpy look of this Great Blue Heron perched on a snag.

Another one from Elgol "beach" on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Unfortunaly the weather didn't offer me the real great stuff, but this location definitely is wonderful for landscape photography and under any circumstances...!

How to have a grumpy morning:

So windy out you can't set up your tripod.

So windy you can't set up your tripod lacking the lost part. The part that connects to the bottom and then the tripod [Thank you Jeep tripod].

Your camera wont focus in M mode, only no flash.

You promised yourself french toast but you forgot to buy eggs.

How to make it all go away:

You can talk to your boyfriend.

You are using your "vintage" processing rather then black and white.

You dragged your captains chair out, a sign of summer.

School for Seniors does't begin until 10:02am and I get out at 1:15pm [hopefully].

Hi, from my driveway. Oh how I wish I had a dirt road.

I'm being a rebel and not standing.

Ixnay "really you needed ALL That"

Everyone that knows me gets me Grumpy Cat stuff hah <3 I think the collection is complete ;)

My occasionally grumpy daughter while walking to Dawlish from Dawlish Warren

Cell phone shot taken during my hike the other day.

I was in a what we call a dry run where excess water comes off the ridge and runs down the hillside cutting deep ravines in the soil.

It exposes old boulders and cool rocks.

This was a boulder I found that I called 'Grumpy Rock'.

I posed it on FB for my Geologist Friend to see.

His response:

Gorgeous stromatolites! Algae fossils from shallow marine environment 470 million years ago when an epicontinental sea covered much of WI very shallowly. The rock here is limestone and the cabbage structures are the algal laminae as they grew towards light. This is the base of the Oneota Formation just above the Jordan Sandstone. The official Cambrian-Ordovician time marker layer. Also a good spot for karst features because when this was buried much deeper, groundwater pooled in the limestone and eroded it out. There’s karst erosion features in the limestone and sandstone ledges just below it. Ledges formed where the sandstone was more cemented so the weak layers below were easier to remove by water, back when the caves formed and ever since the land has been exposed for surface erosion by wind water and gravity. Karst is probably younger than 1 million years, so most of history this was buried deeper, until the continent uplifted in the center enough to expose older rocks and eroded away layers above. What an amazing spot and pic!

So yeah, I guess I found something very science worthy and very interesting. Can you imagine finding a fossil that weighs about a ton?

I have several small fossils like this in my rock garden, so I sort of knew what I'd found.

In case you didn't know, I like rocks.

The previous night was very cold, and now the heron has to stand in the rain.

Thank you all for commenting and favouring my images it is very much appreciated.

All puffed up on a rainy day...

Happy Sunday, everyone. 😊

I was kinda grumpy the other day so my wife sent me here. And I kinda decided to try something I haven't done before, that is, a combo of a LE and focus stacking. Two focal points at f/11 for the foreground and a LE at f/6.7 for the rest. Still can't figure why my images look over-sharpened on here.

First time Ive seen this one. I was able to watch it dance for a female version, but of course, didnt get that in focus. :)

Eyes, grumpy face and bokeh ears and hair? Snapped with a DA 35mm Macro.

In german, that's a Pinselschüppling. As I said before, I couldn't find a translation...

I've crossed this footbridge and photographed it to death over the years, but I don't recall ever seeing fog in Padley Gorge this thick. It was a proper pea souper!

This was a solo mission in the dark where I was trying out a newly acquired LED panel. The fog rolling in was very much a bonus.
