Our aging puppy, Winkee, is getting pretty old.
We aren't sure how old Winkee is, even though we have had here since she was a puppy; but she is at least fourteen, which is pretty old for a larger dog. She has Horner's syndrome which has caused head head and face to atrophy and become asymetric - she looks like somebody's first taxidermy project: all uneven with hair falling out all over!
We love her so much.

Here are some sights and sounds (if you were there) of the Newport Antique Auto Hill Climb.
We got there really early just after 7:00 AM in order to get a good spot to park and show the cars. It was a little foggy which ended up delaying the start of the practice runs.
The hill gets really steep at the top and you can't actually see the finish line from the bottom as there is right turn at the top. The runs are made pretty like a drag race with a Christmas Tree at the bottom counting down before giving the green light. The PA announcer introduces each car and driver before they make their runs. Saturday was for practice and testing with the finals being held on Sunday.
It's a big local civic event as well with a town parade held Saturday evening and just about every group, school, and church selling some sort of homecooked food as a fundraiser. I hit the biscuits and gravy for breakfast at a church for the bargain price of $3.00. And before I left I took home two slow smoked (since Friday night) barbequed half chickens for $8.00 each.
There is also a "flea market" of all kinds of items that stretches for several city blocks.
There is no charge for admission and you basically have the run of the town. They do, however, charge for parking ($10 I think) in the local fields which have been cut early to make room for everyone.
They claim there will be over 100,000 people in attendance over the three days and I see no reason to doubt them. I know there was a line of cars backed up over a half mile waiting to get in when we left just after 4:00PM.

The new manager of Whitbury Newtown Leisure Centre, Gordon Brittas, meets with his deputies, Colin Weatherby (deputy manager wet) and Laura Lancing (deputy manager dry) to organise the running of the centre.
Watching the zebras in action, during their bouts, to prove their worthiness during the mating season on the African plains, reminded me of the movie Dangal.
It looks exactly like as if Aamir Khan, who portrays, Mahavir Singh Phogat, is giving guidance, as he watches intensely the duel, trying to summarize who is more savvy between the two.

With fall approaching, it is time to get back down to the coast to shoot a few images of the fall wildflowers and the Hairy Shadow-witch orchid in the Francis Marion National Forest.
I managed to capture some of each as well as a few butterfly images and a respectable collection of chigger bites...

i had a lady working on each of my hands. the one for my right hand kept slapping me because i moved too much. this took place at a mehndi party, much like a bridal shower.

Frustrating sometimes, how much detail is lost transitioning things into SL. Sometimes I like to snap shots of the models before converting them to SL so I have a pleasant reminder of what they used to look like.

my first born passed his mom in height and is closing in on me. I am still messing around with lights trying to get more comfortable using them. I like the atmosphere that was created in this shot. He looks like a highschooler to me.

My son was telling me how he was snow boarding and wiped out, knocking himself out. We then laughed about how we use to race downhill when he was younger and skiing. Now all I can do is look over at the end of the bar where my old ski's rest!!! My surgeon, told me to stay off the skis, since I have had knee replacement!!!
