The telephone has evolved so much that some refer to a phone such as the iPhone as a "computer" with telephone capabilities. No more looking for something in the phone book and ripping the page out the book to take with you as you head off in that direction. I miss seeing Superman running into a phone booth making a quick change and coming out flying through the air off to save the world. The cell phone has connected us and isolated us all at the same time. The argument for connecting us is easy to make because when one has a cell phone these days there are few spots where a call can't be made or received. Unless the phone is turned off or silenced. And if you go on a trip and forget your cell you can easily get a disposable cell with preloaded minutes and access your account on a secured server and download all your contacts onto a new phone.
Tomorrow I will get Laparoscopic Gallbladder Removal Surgery. I hope I can see her again very soon...

Poor Lily is very poorly at the moment. She's had a snuffly cold for a while now but over the weekend it got worse and then today she deteriorated quite rapidly. My doctor recommended hospital and so that's where we spent the evening.
She's been diagnosed as having bronchiolitis and after several hours of monitoring she has been allowed home but we are to return to hospital daily for check-ups. She's in quite a bad way, breathing is a real effort for her and she obviously feels terrible. All the same she's being very brave.
This is a photo I took of her last week when she was feeling a bit perkier. I'm just hoping she's back to her usual cheerful self soon.

a card for the current moxie fab world challenge: beautiful borders, www.moxiefabworld.com/2011/06/next-moxie-fab-world-challe... . i used the waltzingmouse set victorian frippery for the card. i created the border by stamping the border image in one ink color and trimming it out as you see and then stamping the image again in the 2nd ink and trimming it out on the opposite edge. the two were then layered.
