Getting ready for Google I/O 2011 Day 2 Keynotes

Isle of Man Filipino festival at Mooragh Park, Ramsey June 30 2007

Students met with student organization leaders on Wednesday of Welcome Week to learn how they could get involved on campus at Get On Board Day.

This photograph was taken on a beautiful day in September 2011, most of us here in Scotland accept that Autumn brings inclement weather however this day took one and all by surprise. The sun shone bright and the lovely blue skies were complimented with some of the most stunning clouds.

While I support the artform known as graffiti, I do not condone any act or form of vandalism or any illegal activity relating to such whether it be to private, commercial, or public property.

These guys are all getting ready to re-load the lifeboat after using it as a tender all day.

I found this image in the near-ghost town of Ardill, Saskatchewan. The motto on the windshield - Get 'er done - says a lot about attitudes in my province.

Royaltie Gems Vs. WiFi Adxchange For starters, the beacons Royaltie Gem uses with eddystone spam android devices with a notification that is within range of the beacon. At first I thought that was a pretty cool idea and then after talking to many business owners and consumers they thought that would be more annoying and would look bad on the company and piss the consumer off. I think this would be a good idea if the consumer opted in to get notifications. Royaltie Uplink Vs. WiFi Adxchange Social WiFi The Royaltie uplink is a WiFi system that will allow people to access wifi by logging in via social media. Then you capture the email and you can then email them. After reaching out to many Royaltie Gem and Royaltie Uplink distributors I finally got the answers I needed. The info they gather is very minimal and the platform is EXTREMELY limited to what you can do with it. In fact it really can't do anything. Then I decided to look at the cost. For the mobile uplink which is a access point you can tether with your phone to take anywhere is $35/mo, $30 activation fee and $10 shipping. The part they leave out is the access point needs power and needs to be plugged into your phone to work. I decided to order the exact access point from Amazon for $19.99 and flashed the bios so I could use the WiFi Adxchange marketing platform with it. They say it can hold up to 15 people on it at the same time. But thats not true. Only if you want people to wait 5 minutes to load a page. Not really. With WiFi adxchange we can assign the amount of bandwidth so I was able to create it so fewer users could be on but enjoy the wifi experience. Now the uplink pro is only $45/mo and is more for your standard small business. For anyone who doesn't know any better this would seem like a halfway decent deal. But with it being a network marketing company you are getting people promoting proximity marketing who have no clue what it is and how it works. If they did they would know they are very far behind in tech. For about the same cost, you can get a far more robust system and the advertising opportunities you can create for your network alone will pay for your entire system over and over again.
