Hello my love
It's getting cold on this island
I'm sad alone
I'm so sad on my own
The truth is
We were much too young
Now I'm looking for you
Or anyone like you.
We said goodbye
With the smile on our faces
Now you're alone
You're so sad on your own
The truth is
We run out of time
Now you’re looking for me
Or anyone like me.

My write up on photographing the new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas here
On the weekend of November 20-21, 2010, I was invited to photograph the new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas prior to their opening December 15, 2010 in Las Vegas NV.
This set of images represents my efforts that weekend to showcase this newest resort property opening up on the Las Vegas Strip. Thanks to David Scherer from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for showing me around, to Miiko Mentz at Katalyst Films for helping to arrange the shoot, and to my wife for modeling for me.

For a 500 yen cover charge, you get to eat as much old timey candy and snacks as you want. Yup, that's some cheap-ass all-you-can-eat candy. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PLACE. We all felt kind of sick afterwards, but it was totally worth it. Would go again. Over and over.
Having a short rest to get taken a photograph by the man with the big camera.

Take a look at the expression on the Seagull's face, "whadda mistaka to maka" as they say in parts of Sicily.
The east end of Haworth Park, home to Hall Road Rangers FC, members of the Northern Counties East League First Division. Pictured during a 4-1 defeat by Hallam (amber & black strip). This is the second season for Rangers, formed in 1959, at Haworth Park, a ground used previously for rugby union then rugby league. They moved from Dene Park, up the road at Dunswell, in the hope of becoming a true community football club. The Haworth Park site has four other pitches, two full size.

This winter has been really mild and wet so far - not very conducive to winter wildlife photography. I was so desperate to get out with the camera that I sent a couple of hours in the (rain)forest hoping to see some squirrels. I didn't expect to have much luck since I remember hearing that squirrels don't like the rain**. But it didn't take long for one squirrel to turn up. It was probably surprised to see me - I'm sure it thought that humans don't like the rain either, but it soon found out that desperate wildlife photographers are an exception to the rule!
**This may have been the same person who told me that dolphins don't like the rain either! ;-)
