a card for the current moxie fab world challenge: beautiful borders, www.moxiefabworld.com/2011/06/next-moxie-fab-world-challe... . i used the waltzingmouse set victorian frippery for the card. i created the border by stamping the border image in one ink color and trimming it out as you see and then stamping the image again in the 2nd ink and trimming it out on the opposite edge. the two were then layered.

Straight out of the shower and thought I would see how I looked with some piggy-tails and an bobby pin in my fringe - still undecided though!

Its been a long week and I've been a little absent from the flickrverse. Pretty much everyone at the office was siffling and sneezing last week and it just caught up to me a few days ago. Hope you all had a great week and a fun superbowl weekend planned. Oh yeah, happy fence Friday...
My Push from Broken Glass Mosiacs was to take a self-portrait or to take a photo of something in motion with the background blurred or the subject blurred. I think I have now taken a zillion pictures of myself. Glad it's not on film. Usually I am just glad to be behind the camera so I don't have to analyze every wrinkle when I finally see the photo. This time I used the time-honored technique of holding the camera off to the side and clicking. I always look too serious, but the arm out-to-the-side method is awkward. Even forgot to comb my hair this morning. No one noticed. Do I look like a librarian?
If I were to take a photo of something moving - well, I can't take photos of my students without their permission unless they are unrecognizable. Let's just leave it as - the opportunity to take pictures of runners, joggers, and speeding motorcycles is not likely to happen on my road. I did capture a speeding car, but not much of it. The birds were all gone before the camera, or photographer, was ready. This was a hard push since I don't usually think about taking my own picture. Thanks Sheri. §;¬)
I get home a little after Rush hour starts from work. As a result when I get home I see everyone else going home. It was a Thursday so people were talking about work, their day, and any potential plans for the weekend. I can hear from my spot where I was watching, I could hear the homogenized rumble of rush hour, and some sirens from the fire-station nearby. I noticed that there was also a lot of foot traffic, mainly students, either heading further into the city or to the super market down the street. What was hidden was these individuals personal life. Some were easy to tell. Some were in scrubs from the hospital either a medical student from Harvard nearby. Students are very easy to spot; young and usually with a backpack heading up to their off campus apartment on mission hill. It was interesting watching the transit system and seeing all the strangers in my community and trying to figure out their stories.

This is my entry for the latest round of Get Pushed - a great fun group where you are paired up with a fellow photographer and challenge each other to take a shot outside of your normal comfort zone.
For Round 27 I was once again paired up with Jayneboo who has some beautiful shots of nature, animals and the countryside - you should definitely take a look. We've been paired up before and knew each other's photos well, so this time we decided to give each other the same push of an advertisement shot.
I had a lot of ideas for this theme but couldn't find the time to set them up so instead I have taken a shot from last weekend and made it into a poster for a "new book".
You should definitely check out the group, sign up is now open for the next round.

I ran into Glen and Leslie at the end of the Middle Fork Road. They had just finished hiking the Garfield Ledges trail.
I was writing a message in the Snow when they called out to me.
Our sentiments about 2025 are similar, it sucked. Glad to put this year behind us.
