Each day you get...Taller. Smarter. Stronger. Sweeter. You have a bold and intense personality that SHINES like the sun. I adore you and I savor each and every moment I have with you...because it's so fleeting. Before I know it, you'll be gone! Off to a new adventure. We had such a wonderful walk in the woods together...laughing, running, exploring, kissing. You're growing up before my eyes. Slow down just for a moment so I can remember...remember exactly how you look at me in the morning. How you sing out loud with the headphones on. How you want so badly to be like the big girls. How you still want to hold my hand. I love you.
Best I could do as couldn't get a window so stuck my camera between two heads and just pointed and clicked! lol:(
I had the honor of getting a press pass to cover the 3rd annual Bent-Con gathering of artists, illustrators, authors, sexy geeks, groovy nerds, and so much more. The bonus is that this convention is an LGBT event. (ALL are welcome)
I had a three day pass, but due to my schedule and the fact that I was fighting this nasty cold I was only able to attend Saturday, which was more than enough fun for me.
The event featured facilitated panels from well known and beloved people through the industry as well as an exhibitors area jammed packed with the best and brightest talents around. I had the awesome opportunity of speaking with many of them to hear their wonderful stories about their inspirations behind the work they've created.
For me the bonus was seeing and hearing the music from Masque of the Red Death performed live. I say bonus because many people are unaware that for a very long time I was was a music, playing piano, singing in choirs and I was even a Madrigal Singer. Listening and photographing this portion of the convention took me back to the days when I performed on stages.
The highlight of the night was the fact that I knew many people involved with Bent-Con, so I was able to get the skinny on things other photographers may not have known about and the huge score was being able to stake my claim to the center isle for the costume contest. As a photographer I've been on a few red carpets and other events with other photographers and many of those bitches are nasty as hell, so it was very nice to be able to simply do what I do (very well I might add) without some trick with a pink lens stepping into my shots.
I would like to thank Sean for asking me to be part of this event and making sure I was getting what I needed. Sean your team was awesome and you should be very proud of this event.

Once per year, MitOst invites its members and everyone being interested in cultural and social and civic exchange in Europe and its neighbouring regions to the International MitOst Festival, a four day international forum offering cultural activities, further trainings and networking opportunities.
Since 2003, the festival has taken place annually – each time in a different city. From 3rd to 7th of October 2018, Athens (Greece) will host the MitOst Festival.
The festival is the highlight of MitOst's year – a time when the diversity of MitOst and the commitment and enthusiasm of its members are on full display.
About 300 people partake, getting to know the host city and its inhabitants. Participants will present their own voluntary projects, hold events and mini-projects, offer workshops, and network. There will also be plenty of space for self-organised intercultural cooperation. A general programme of film presentations, exhibitions, discussions, readings, city tours, and concerts will bring the spirit of MitOst to the host city while uniting members, partner organisations, and local inhabitants.
Find further information at mitostfestival.org.

While camped up over the weekend I have been trying to catch a few ants. The little buggers run so fast, especial when they see this large creature coming in close. After getting lots of nothing, I ended up resorting to special tactics, a drop of honey, to catch my prey. lol ;o)))
7DOS Crossing Macro Monday
Crossings: anything crossed over something different. For example, a bridge over a river, a tree branch over a footpath, a pen across a piece of paper. Both things should be shown in the photo. - Just love the shadow crossing the leaf in this shot
Sorry for the overload of wedding shots (more to come) but as I took nearly 2000 photos, it kinda left me with no choice :-)
Be sure to check KeepSix.Com for the rest of the photos from the House of Paint jam. I will be posting additional photos in the coming days here on Flickr.
I am just out of my night currency so I needed to be on the ground before that sun went down. Proper flight planning helps a lot though I will be honest...a flight like this doesn't require much to pull off.
