These unplanned spots are worth to explore and photograph. They are literally gems enroute. We are travelling to Madyan from Jebel Al Lawz (which was closed for tourists and we could only make as near as 10KMs to it) and I am being dropped from the car for a solo exploration. My friends are at the gas station and look what I found. There are so many places on the earth which deserve a name really.

The aptly named Gem Lake, in Rocky Mountain National Park. The hike to the lake is only 1.8 miles, and is uphill all the way. Rock formations like the ones around the lake are all along the trail. This lake is shallow and has no inlet or outlet. It depends on snow melt and rainfall to keep it full

Só caguei no top coat pois resolvi, nem sei o porquê, usar aquele maldito roxinho encolhedor da Risqué. No dedo médio dá pra notar um início de encolhimento.
Não lembro quantas camadas usei mas acho que foram 3, ele não é do tipo super pigmentado não.

Little Gem LX06DZG, a 2006 Volvo B7TL Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini 1, was seen in Piccadilly Gardens, whilst operating a service 44 to Manchester Piccadilly. New to Go Ahead London Metrobus as their WVL224.
Little Gem collapsed due to rising fuel costs, and the cost of living crisis outweighing the cost of continuing to trade. It was announced on Friday 21st April 2023 as 17:00pm that Little Gem would cease trading.

I was showin' Pete (Harmonica Pete that is) around the the Tosohatchee crick WMA, and he decided he wanted to see the deep Palmetto/oak foresty part of it so we stopped by the Orange Trail foot bridge and wandered into the dark primitive looking forest where we expected to see maybe a dinosaur or two. Turns out we didn't run into any dinosaurs, but we did follow these guys for a bit as a pair bobbed and weaved down the trail in front of us as we walked. This guy finally settled down on the trail and I managed to sneak up for a few picks.
When I got close I was thinkin' satyr, but immediately knew it was of a sort that was new to me. Always cool to meet up with a new guy, and this one was certainly a gem!

We had considered a swim here before we set off on the hike. As you can see such an option was out of the question.
Gem Lake is the highest of the three lakes that the trail follows on its route up past Baker Point. At this point we are 1'800 feet below the summit of Trapper Peak.
