Captured this scene a few years ago during a May sunrise (at 04:57).
Another one of those slightly cold (-1°Celsius) mornings where nature blessed us with calm winds and a powerful sun glow over mirror-like waters :-)
Found this tree branch (& reflection) positioned like a diamond (or an eye) and had to hurry and take some creative shots before any large ships passed the area (as their waves would most likely reposition the branch or knock it over... which is exactly what happened a little while later!)
(( update: Many people commenting on this photo say they see two arms with intertwined hands / fingers, crossed in the sun glow... and now I see that too! ))
The warm sun glow caused a pretty mist to rise upon the water, which made the scene even more lovely for me :-)
I captured this with my older Sony HX90V and cropped the photo quite a bit to remove land from the left side and also to reposition the 'Diamond Eye' from the center area.
Hope this golden glow brings a smile your way today :-)

The Churnet Valley is full of undiscovered gems.This is a lovely waterfall in Crowgutter Wood near to where I live, not many people go, I'm almost always alone when I go there. I've looked at this waterfall many times from above, you can't really get a photo from above and I'd thought about going to the bottom many times but it's either been too overgrown in summer or it's been to muddy/slippery in the winter but this time I took a rope and made it to the bottom - and back!
I took quite a few shots, some long exposures with the water frozen in time, which always looks so dreamy and pretty, and some faster exposures which show the power of the water - it's subjective and I know some don't like the look of long exposure water - being kind of artificial, and that's fine of course. I went with this one first but I'll probably post another contrasting one at some stage.
It was about a 90 second exposure (and a 30 second exposure for the sky to get some blue and clouds) and I blurred the sides a little (at varying percentages) for further dreaminess

Is this guy a gem or what? I think the male broad-billed hummingbird is easily among the most beautiful hummingbirds found in the U.S. They certainly bring a hit of color to a decidedly beige desert (I mean, just check out the backdrop). Canon EOS 90D.Captured this breathtaking sunset from the hills overlooking Vernazza, one of the most picturesque gems of the Cinque Terre. The sky erupted in a palette of fiery oranges and deep purples, reflecting beautifully over the Mediterranean waters.
Shooting with the Canon EOS 90D, I wanted to preserve the incredible dynamic range of this scene—from the textures of the ancient stone path in the foreground to the soft glow of the distant horizon. The high resolution of the 90D sensor really allowed the vibrant colors of the Ligurian architecture to pop against the lush green terraces. Italy never ceases to amaze!
