Niagara Falls in winter has its charm too. Snow, ice and colours. Every night colourful lights are projected onto falls and results are just beautiful!

I travel that road only in the winter, less dusty than the rest of the year. It is nowhere as busy, we saw only 2 other vehicles during the 4 hours we were there. The weaher forcast was mix of sun and clouds. We got clouds, fog and snow. The temperature was -19 Celcius.
The light was difficult and changing. he upside is that the images do not look like postcards.
I emerged from my building this evening and saw one of the security guards photographing the frozen branches, so I decided to join in!

The other morning there was frost covering everything. This tree looked amazing. I could only get the top of it without cluttering the background, but I like this shot a lot.
An incredible winters day in January. The Kymi stream stays unfrozen even at -18C (0F), creating a beautiful mist and painting the trees white.

The first week of February brought quite a weather in Slovenia - the fallen snow started feeling very comfortable under the heavy downpour of warm rain. So comfortable that it didn't even realize when the ice wind came that it will be turned into an ice cover weighing down every branch, transforming bushes into caramel mustaches made of ice - thin, heavy, and sparkly. imperfiction.com
Zhangjiajie National Park is one of the most unique and spectacular places I've ever had the delight of visiting. We got there a few days after a decent snow, which provided beautiful misty air and a unique view of the spires.

The longest freezing spell was from December 24 to December 31 in Vienna, constituting 8 consecutive days with temperatures strictly below freezing (we're talking down to -12c some days!).

On March 4/5, 2008, we had quite an ice storm in my area.
My favorite local news station, 19 Action News, dubbed the storm as "Ice Storm '08."
