One of the photos that I took on the 22nd of December. Even though is freezing here at the moment there is no frost like in December of the past year. No any snow either. You can see that the canal is half frozen but geese can still swim in it. See it large for the best view: flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2161438507&size=l
Wishing you a great day my friends and (((HUGS))) from me to you :)

Shot today up in Nordmarka. I'm struggling a bit with the whites in these winter shots. Hard to edit. I find it very difficult to find the right spot for the temperature. A bit to cold and it looks fake because of the blue tones. A bit to warm and it doesn't look winter cold.
But this turned out acceptable. Hopefully I`ll manage to add some more interest in some shots tomorrow:p
A wonderful winter walk with wonderful Friends
Living in the shadows,
Crawling in the dark,
Another face you will never see,
Another voice you will never hear...
Exist To Exit [Arch Enemy]
A long walk through the snow and across a frozen lake, brought me to this twisted forest of small, twisted trees, encrusted with ice from months of sub-zero tempretures - Karesuando, Sweden
Several days of freezing rain in Central Illinois have left the trees in a precarious state such as this cherry tree.
I think this frozen forest scene looks rather otherworldly. Does the large tree to the left look like a figure sitting hunched forward with its hands on its knees, or have I been staring at my monitor for too long? - Karesuando, Sweden
Frozen winter countryside by highway and overpass in Burgenland region somewhere (?) between Eisenstadt and Raiding, southern Austria.

My wife and I made a day trip, it was a long one, to Niagara Falls yesterday to witness the massive ice build-ups. It was quite incredible to see. This is a section of the American Falls.

Implorante stava l’albero, imprigionato dal ghiaccio in un’atmosfera di fiaba, sembrava un alieno in quel silenzio ovattato, magico e surreale...

This one was taken several minutes before the "birds as big as airplanes" photo. I loved the looks of the sky with it's pale rose color between the branches of the frozen trees. Also a small piece of the frozen canal can be seen.
The frost is gone now and am glad I took the few shots here. Only cropping on this one too. View large please: farm3.static.flickr.com/2155/2130680854_ef465c8513_b.jpg
