The stone arched roof is decorated in squares with five pointed stars, ball flowers, tablet flowers, roses and a dove with an olive branch.
Lighting is very poor in this building - a challenge for my tiny Minolta Dimage G400!

Atticus & Mariko came to visit last week. We played around Muller Park's odd playground and they let me take some shots. Laid on the ground for this shot. Forced the light leak by loosely spooling the finished roll and pinching it a bit in the sunlight.
This mean mosquito spent a few days in our apartment, drinking our blood and annoying us with its noise. But the good times are over now, the mosquito is back in the wild!

Another Doo plucked from the archives. I think that collar lasted all of about a week before he lost it. Took this one while living in Minneapolis.
There's nothing up here except a collection of moose necks and weasel blankets, so I'm not entirely sure what the scratching noise in the middle of the night is. Maybe its that small one-eyed Japanese hairball scuttling about with her pointy knife fingers.
Thick-billed Kingbird eating an insect. This species is a rare occurence at that time of year and this location. A life bird. Poggi Creek greenbelt, San Diego, California, USA. 27 January 2018
Finally getting around to enter my ebird lists from California...
Okay, here is the first batch of my 365 catchup photos. I have so many to catch up on, because of my time away.
This is Day 233.
This was taken at the playground that was at the Children's School in Chautauqua, that Jaymi got to attend. It was fun, playing around on the equipment, being a kid for a while.

We had a short demonstration from the Red Tail Squadron of the Commemorartive Air Force (CAF) (formerly known as the Conferate Air Force). If you don't know the story of the Red Tail Squadron and the Tuskegee Airmen, you should.

Kate and I took a trip to the Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife Area to see the Sandhill Cranes. It was not the peak time, but there were more than enough around to get our crane fix.

I finally did it, and I finally got it!
A while back i heard this compelling story of a man who couldn't afford his prosthetic leg, and his vision to pay for his own, and begin to help others in this same struggle...
Later, I'm catching up with a friend, and he actually knows the guy...
So, now that I'm actually working steady, and taking into consideration that the campaign needs a kick in the bum, I did my part, made my donation. In return, I got me a shirt to spread the word, and am prayin' many a good 365 folks will take notice look into the situation, and maybe rock the tee for we!
C'mon, you know you wanna!?
Another run on the escalator - very happy with how it came out. I knew getting my pants dirty would be worth it!
Dianti means, if translated literally (which most books for learning Chinese don´t, a big mistake imo) "Electric Ladder". The symmetry is not perfect due to the "ad hoc" nature of this shot - it would be if I cropped on the right, which I don´t want to do right now.

That bag has been stuck there for the better part of a year. It's a good 20 feet off the ground, and just hangs there flapping in the breeze. Even through all the storms we've had, it's still there; it only gets more torn and sad-looking...
Another shot of the Grand Old Flag, from directly beneath. I wasn't sure which one I like the best... so I posted them both. :)
