This is the second time I photographed this tent posted at the center of Malabon Public Cemetery during All Soul's Day. I can see that it is the same tent that was erected exactly a year ago. The dirt, creases and minor tears tells of a year that has gone past.

The first time was shot using a Canon Powershot S3is, I was barely three months into photography back then, and now more that a year after, I took a snap of it using a Nikon D80.

This tent was my first ever photo that got Explored in Flickr. =)

The fact that this building is made of glass and is curved among a sea of square vertical boxes still puts me in awe.

Two dead trees stand together amidst a living forest in southern Yukon.

The little man is my human alarm clock. This morning he overslept. A lot. In order to get him to the bus stop on time I had to leave the house with wet hair and wearing a hoodie. I think the hoodie is going to remain in the upright position all day.

This Saturday Jim and I decided to call it "quits" early. The wooden deck isn't finished yet and the insulation above us needs to be covered. I took this shot randomly and achieved an unexpected result. Didn't even need to crop it; just tweaked the colors in Picasa.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

A little different perspective on Doo. I think he was scouting a bird on the backyard fence. It was cold and windy and he was taking cover amid the leaves under the raspberry bush (I on the other hand was suffering in the cold!). Large

Its total length including approach spans is 1149 metres and its arch span is 503 metres. The top of the arch is 134 metres above sea level and the clearance for shipping under the deck is a spacious 49 metres. The total steelwork weighs 52,800 tonnes, including 39,000 tonnes in the arch. The 49 metre wide deck makes Sydney Harbour Bridge the widest Longspan Bridge in the world.

One from last night playing around while Zoey played around with an interesting collection of toys (safari hat, stethoscope around her belly since the camera strap was around her neck). I was trying to get her to look at me as she danced and played so I could get a cute shot but it just wasn't happening, this was my favorite of what I did shoot b/c it makes her appear larger than life (just like her personality).

The Poppy is an Angiospermae or flowering plant of the family Papaveraceae. Ornamental poppies are grown for their colorful flowers; some varieties of poppy are used as food, whilst other varieties produce the powerful medicinal alkaloid opium which has been used since ancient times to create analgesic and narcotic medicinal and recreational drugs. Following the trench warfare of the 1st World War which took place in the poppy fields of Flanders, red poppies have become a symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime.

Today, Dec. 7, is the 54th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Let us never forget the memory of those who died on that horrible day, and those who served and survived. This is in honor of their sacrifice. (I meant to put this at the front of my photostream earlier in the day)

I am the flag of the United States of America. My name is "Old Glory". I fly atop the world's tallest buildings. I stand watch in America's Hall of Justice. I fly majestically over great institutes of learning. I stand guard with the greatest military power in the world. Look up and see me!

I stand for peace, honor, truth, and justice. I stand for freedom. I am confident. I am arrogant. I am proud. When I am flown with my fellow banners, my head is a little higher, my colors a little truer. I bow to no one. I am recognized all over the world. I am worshipped, I am loved, and I am feared!

I have fought in every battle of every war for more than 200 years: Gettysburg, Shiloh, Appomattox, San Juan Hill, the trenches of France, the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome, the beaches of Normandy, Guam, Okinawa, the Philippines, Germany, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and a score of places long forgotten by all but those who were there with me. I was there!

I led my soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. I followed them and watched over them. They loved me. I was on a small hill in Iwo Jima. I was dirty, battle-torn and tired, but my soldiers cheered me. And I was proud!

I have been soiled, burned, torn, and trampled on in the streets of countries that I have helped set free. It does not hurt, for I am invincible. I have been soiled, burned, torn, and trampled on in the streets of my own country. When those whom I have served with in battle do it, it hurts. But I shall overcome, for I am strong! I have slipped the bonds of earth and from my vantage point on the moon; I stand watch over the un-charted new frontiers of space.

I am a silent witness to all of America's finest hours. But my finest hour comes when I am torn in strips to be used as bandages for my wounded comrades on the field of battle, when I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers, my sailors, my airmen, my marines, and when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving mother, at the gravesite of her fallen son or daughter. I am proud!

My name is "OLD GLORY!" Long may I wave, dear God, long may I wave.

The inside of one of two giant vertical tubes ("artvertisment" of a car rental company at munich airport). The circular neon tubes are lit periodically to give the impression of movement.

This is a church in the middle of Berlin that has been built besides an older church, partly destroyed during the second world war, but the ruin still exists. Rather modern and special architecture indeed.

Now tell me you don't feel alive ;-))

I wonder if anyone else has looked up this stairwell in quite this fashion. It was certainly an interesting shot. And on the same day as my fogged up pictures, too.

Some seagulls were following our cruise ship. I embraced the opportunity and did this closeup from the sun deck.
